WWE WrestleMania XX (20) (2004) Review

Great show, show actually overrated but was also underrated in the same time, 2004 is a super mixed bag year for WWE, RAW is actually good despite HHH terrifying and traumatizing me, and SmackDown is horrible despite being decent and good from the first half from January to March. WrestleMania 20 started with John Cena taking the U.S. title from Big Show in his first WrestleMania in-ring debut, the fatal 4-way world tag team title match was just a match on RAW, Christian/Jericho is a forgotten gem with the heel turn of Trish Stratus, Evolution/Rock & Sock is entertaining, skip the evening gown match. The Cruiserweight open is just a match on SD, Goldberg/Lesnar is shockingly one of the worst matches of the night, I remembered being hyped of this match until the outcome of the match flushed down the toilet, the crowd chant "You Sold Out," and "Boring" and sang "Goodbye." The WWE Universe boos the entire match while cheering for the special guest referee, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Brock Lesnar and Goldberg would eats stone cold stunners on their way out of the WWE. The WWE Tag team title 4-way bout feels like another match on smackdown and yeah, it has been an underwhelming event for the blue brand. SmackDown failed to reach their potential from the 2004-2005 period. The WWE women's championship "Hair vs. Title" match would've been entertaining with Molly Holly getting her head shaved in the end. Angle/Guerrero saves the show and saves SmackDown and 2004 was Eddie Guerrero's best year as the WWE champion on SD. At the end of the bout, Eddie unties with boot, but was trapped by Kurt Angle who locks in the ankle lock but sike, the boot came off which caught Kurt Angle off guard and Eddie retains the championship. Lie, Cheat & Steal! Never gets old. Undertaker VS Kane could have been more entertaining. The Undertaker returns with his "deadman" persona. Triple Threat world heavyweight title main event is MOTN. Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels. In my opinion personal opinion, this is one of the greatest triple threat world title bouts and WrestleMania matches of all time and shouldn't been deleted or erased from WWE, Inc. Chris Benoit should have not been banned, deleted or erased from WWE forever. Chris Benoit making Triple H tap out to the crossface to win the world heavyweight championship made MSG erupted to his 18-year journey. Him and Eddie Guerrero hugged and celebrated at the end of WrestleMania XX as world champions.
People had mixed opinions over WrestleMania XX, with debuts of John Cena, Randy Orton and Batista, 3 good matches, one of the worst matches to make Lesnar and Goldberg to exit the WWE, and Eddie & Benoit walk out of WrestleMania as champions. This one is hardly a recommended show.
