I love Blazing Saddles, try this, complete it only using pumping, it's very possible, I've done it a few times, will keep you off the brakes and push boundaries a bit but nothimg crazy. Not enough pumping by most mtb riders
I found some high skinny lines built out of wood when I was up there years ago and got lost deep in a Forrest. Trying to find videos of it but can’t seem to, wondering if you know if they’re still there?
There are still trails that go through the woods and are not part of the "official" trail. I personally don't know the names or anything and usually just stick to the main trail but I have found that there are usually people around who are either doing the other trails or can tell you where to go.
I don't remember there being any skinnies there but I might not have been aware of them? Be cool to see some skinnies up around there, would love somewhere to practice doing them!
The ones I think you mean are still there but there historic, all broken and rotten, there was a skinny and jumpy line made out of wood that is fairly recent but they did alot of tree harvesting and I think there all covered.
Fold the seats down in the back of my car and chuck the bikes in! I have hatchback with seats that fold down completely flat. Trail forks usually shows access to different trails, just go to where the fireroad starts! Hope that helps
@@tadhghutchinson Apologies, I misunderstood the question, you were wondering where each trail is! Trailforks is a great tool for finding where trails are. Unfortunately there's not good coverage in Ticknock but you can download the maps ahead of time! If you try places like Slade Valley or Ballinastoe trailforks can be really useful as it's not as obvious where the trails are there.
Moving to Dublin in a few months for work. Super pumped to ride here... I read that owning a vehicle in Dublin is not smart, but assuming to get here from Dublin you have to have a car right? Does the local community have group rides here?
There a group on Facebook you should join. Mtb Ireland. Lots of nice helpful people on there! Also depending on where you will be living in the city you may need a car to get to tick nock. Theres a car share service called gocar, you can get the app and rent the car and pay per hour. That might be a good option if you don't want to own a car full time?
@@crog4389 ye there’s loads of different names for it like toms climb barn yard devils elbow for the first 3 trails but trail forks normally have different names
My handlebars are very narrow! I hate them, feel very unstable. Just picked up some 800mm wide nukeproofs in aluminium with a 25mm riser. Can't wait to get them on the bike!
Great footage mate

great vid but the first one is called toms climb i thought
Not sure? Its listed as euroskeptic on trail forks? Maybe Tom's climb is the original name for it?

@@crog4389 You will notice a big difference with them. I use 780mm and love how much control and comfort I get with them!!
Please tell me you're American and moved here when you were young or something?
Nothing worse than a fake American accent
