I stayed in chaing mai for over a month in October and overstayed my visa I liked it so much! I must say I am a milk drinker and the best milk I ever had in my life was the whole milk there !! It is not pasteurized to the point of no return! You can whip the whole milk there " the grass fed brand " to butter . It's very plain but hey it's firm ! I love that milk and I'm coming back to make chaing mai my new home 😊
Wow...I never thought about smaller motorbikes being for those who "lost their license". Never crossed my mind, ever. Yeah, I love small motorcycles a lot. And what you said about appreciating what you have is SPOT ON! I thought about that the entire time I was there in Thailand. I love how the Thai people do whatever it takes to make ends meet. They work together and help one another. We westerners could take a page from the Thai playbook in that regard.
I think your subscribers admire you so much because of your many good characteristics: smartly positive, informative, fair, considerate and very adaptable. Although I am not an expat to Thailand, I really enjoy watching your videos. After I retire in mid-2024, I will spend more time at my home in Chiang Mai and I hope to meet you in person one day. I wish you all the best in Thailand!
@@TheNarrowGate I will be in CM again from 29 Dec. 23 to 4 Jan 24 to celebrate New Year with my wife, my uncle and his family (who are naturalized American citizens from Massachusetts). I will keep in touch.
@@TheNarrowGate My wife and I would be delighted if you and your wife could come to visit us at our CM home. It’s not far from Doi Suthep. If you type the name “Chivapirom” in Google Map, you’ll see the location.
Coming to CM is like buying new shoes, they fit well, are comfortable, really look good, and you have that super happy feeling just glancing down at them plus all the compliments…so as the plane descends into CNX that happy feeling starts to rise and a day in the stress level zeros out, first use of the hong nam and all your troubles are flushed down the drain..free at last to start real living, end of the first day a huge sigh of relief and satisfaction..SLAP ! Darn mosquitoes ! All is well…zzzzzzz good night 😴
Hi, I am glad to have come across your channel. I am right now at the cross roads of my life. I absolutely hate living in a highly stressed homeland. Make a guess - one with famous votex waterfall in airport... Everything is so expensive for years that it is impossible to retire here with no savings. One cannot simply stop working full-time. Hence, I am considering living out of here, looking for a slower pace of life and taking time to pursue my passions & hobbies instead. Changmai is what I had come up in mind. So glad that you mentioned it here. Keen to explore these possibilities. Sick of rushing life everyday...
Hi, big fan of the channel.. Your commentary and insights have proven to be invaluable! I’m currently doing a great deal of research and really hope to make it there in the next year. I’m looking forward to coming for a month and escaping the North Eastern winter. I plan to use that first trip to really evaluate for myself, if I can make “the big move” and live there full time. The current turmoil in the U.S. has me really ready to “jump ship”. The only critique I might offer is likening Thailand to Jamaica. I went to Jamaica for a vacation in 2010 and was truly shocked to see every single resort resembled a correctional facility from the outside, with razor wire coiled around the top of twelve foot chain link fence. The staff at the place I stayed kept emphatically stressing to the guests that nobody should leave the grounds without an escort. The one time I did venture down to the town center, I was repeatedly hassled and harangued by scam artists trying to lure me down alleys to buy drugs (and clearly be robbed). Don’t mean to be a downer, I just feel that , the picture I currently have in my head of Thailand is NOTHING like Jamaica! Sorry to be the proverbial “frog in your shoe”! lol
So glad you are enjoying the channel! And I understand about Jamaica, however I have a different take on it. My wife & I got married there and it was such a laid back place where we were able to relax and enjoy our time. One phrase they taught us was ‘No worries, only situations’ so that is why I likened it to Thailand. But your point is definitely taken. Thanks for watching!!! 🇹🇭😊
Thanks for the video, one thing I was thinking is that you didn’t mention is that if a man is single having a Thai girlfriend/wife is a very different experience than in the US. I’m many ways it’s much better.
Hey, I appreciate your input from your experience in Thailand! I loved what you had to say and I am very excited to go on this journey of mine! I plan for a year! Hoping I can get the educational Visa and learn their language. I hope to find a beautiful loving wife that will put our children & family above all else! The biggest reasons for me moving to Thailand is explained in your video. I am a veteran with PTSD, & the fast paced & rushed environment here in the US is too much for me. Also, I feel that the woman here in the US have shifted to a more masculine nature and that happens to go against my beliefs of what an how a family should be an act. I feel I can find what I am looking for in Thailand!! I feel the family structure is being attacked by propaganda in the US, so if I married in Thailand, I can help keep the family structure of the US in tact. We shall see! Anyway, just wanted to share my experience & help your algorithm by commenting, subscribing, and liking the video! Have a great day!!
Yeah, no cheeses. That sucks big time. I can't survive without milk and cheese. Motorbikes. I think, nowadays you're required to have a valid driver's license to hop on one of those scooters. Riding in Thailand is plain dangerous. Way more dangerous than in the States.

Appreciate the lack of stereotypes comment. It takes foreigners to point that out, doesn't it. As a local, you take these things for granted.
I moved here ten years ago with my owned condo plenty of bahts to spend and huge savings, but will not retire in BKK Kap!🙏👍
I'm in Thailand , mixed emotions about staying on , may I ask why you will not retire here as I am soon to retire
Thumbs up 👍 Tony
Thank you! 🇹🇭🙏🏻

I would not know. Married to an American.
I can't wait for a chilled vibe. It must be an awesome feeling waking up every morning in Thailand 🌅. 🙏
It definitely is! 🇹🇭☺️
Um you still can't drive a motor scooter with a DUI. Lol. Love the video. Can't wait to get there
Actually it’s mopeds that the folks with the DUI’s drive. 🤣☺️
Thanks for watching!!! 🇹🇭☺️

Yeah, I'm not really sure about driving in Thailand. I'm just not sure about that.
If I move to Thailand, I will miss Western art and culture.
Your OnlyFans subscription will still work there....🤣
You mean graffitti and wokeness?
