    That's the best move you can do 👍I did it also last September and came to Thailand with just hand luggage but with a lot of positivity and curiosity.
    Weather, cost of living, people's positivity, and life partner. Good reasons to make big changes in your life, leave your home country and live in Thailand.

      Not cheap anymore! Go to Laos, Cambodia or VietNam. Thai people are sweet. The Thai government and it's policies treat farang like shit!
      Passport is needed to pay PEA, 3BB or telephone bill.
      Throw a dart at a map of the World! Timor Leste sounds good!

      Hi! I don’t know if you still keep your plan. Japanese and Thai are very similar in manners. Shy, traditional and respect for the elderly. But we are totally opposite how to live our life. Japanese is intense, serious, hardworking and well-organized. Thai are easygoing, fun (we eat and laugh all day), work hard on the clock but we know how to enjoy everything even when we work and we are chaotic. Lol 😂😂
      You will get some culture shock during your transition from Japan to Thailand.

    In Thailand, having enough money is important for a comfortable life. With around 1,000 euros per month (36,000 Thai baht), you can live adequately. However, with 1,500 euros per month (54,000 Thai baht), you can enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle. And if you have 2,000+ euros per month (72,000-100,000 Thai baht), you'll be able to live like a king.🎉❤

    Ive sed it before, what a wonderful peaceful life Ben,
    bit more eventful in and around the village,
    a bag of frogs 200 bht !!
    Whenever i see baby frogs which the locals make into a soup i buy them all up and release them into the nearest pond...wife never too happy with that!!
    and dont for christ sake let her mother know..
    Whenever we get big big rain the locals are out gathering up the frogs by torchlight, considered a delicasy round here.
    Cheers..

I could go on and on about all the things I miss. Right now my wife is in no big hurry to return to Thailand due to the political situation. Happy life to you and Anna.

    Great videos. I love them all. You're always very positive and easy to watch.
    I built a house in Chiang Mai 10 years ago. Luckily we are connected to PEA so don't need to worry about power like you do. I've found with the Thai punishing climate, quality of products and workmanship, things go wrong far more here then in the UK and require more maintenance. You have a great house but the one thing I would do differently myself is to locate the solar panels nearer ground level for easy maintenance, cleaning or adding additional units one day as you have plenty of land available.
    As you often have a breeze coming from the mountain, perhaps a small wind turbine would be useful too to consider for the future?

      We brought everything we owned inc furniture etc in a 20 ft shipping container. It cost us about £4000. Probably if I did it again I’d sell most of my belongings in Uk and buy them again over here, just bringing suitcases.
      It was middle of covid lockdown when we moved here, so we didn’t really have the option of selling our stuff as every bugger was locked in their houses 😅

      @@LifeinThailand777 that's mental taking all your furniture when you could easily buy furniture in Thailand for a fraction of the cost.

      Yeah we considered all options, but we have some antique furniture, as well as sentimental stuff that couldn’t be bought again in Thailand. It was better for us to pay for shipping 👍

      I don’t base my life on where the closest hospital is. Maybe I’ll regret that if I cut my leg off one afternoon, but the chances are slim 👍

    How did you afford such a beautiful home?

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  Рік тому +1

      We opted to build a house here in Thailand rather than pay into a mortgage for a property in the Uk. The house and land total cost here is only about £100,000, as opposed to average price of a house in Uk £290,000. Neither of us own property in the Uk 🙏

    Hi Ben,could you tell me your wife's remedy for cleaning the pond with the cow shit sandwich, I can't find the video, thanks

    • @LifeinThailand777
      @LifeinThailand777  Рік тому +1

      Hi mark, she layers dried cow shit with hay, and skewers it with bamboo into the bed of the pond. The shit and the hay need to basically be in the water without separating and floating away. There’s probably better ways of doing it using something like chicken wire mesh, but the bamboo skewers seem to work ok. It’s not an immediate result, because the shit sandwich will produce plankton which is what cleans the water, but you’ll definitely see a difference over 6 months. We tend to make a new sandwich twice a year 😅. Hope this helps mate
      Edit - my wife says chicken wire is a bad idea 😅

    What province are you in? I see your property is surrounded by hills, so you're probably not in Isarn, unless its near the Cambodian or Lao border, where there are actually some hills.

      I think if you’re not an alcoholic or woman chaser, you can have a nice life on B65,000, but find something to do with your time !
