My grandma always put a piece of bread in the container with the brown sugar if it was hard. The moisture from the bread would go into the brown sugar so it would go softer. Works like a charm for me.

My Mama went to heaven a few years back and I’ve been taking care of my dad and he asked me if I would make some of Mamas cinnamon rolls!! Well her recipe was so worn and faded I couldn’t see it ! That’s how I found you! My dad is almost 90 and when he requested cinnamon rolls I thought Oh my!!’ Lol. Praying mine will turn out as pretty as yours!! Im sure my Mama is watching from heaven and will be helping me too! Im so blessed I still have my dad to make some of the things my Mama used to!! Im honored to do whatever I can for Him ! I love him so much and don’t know what I would do without him! It makes my heart smile doing these little things that puts a smile on his face!! Oh my gosh you are amazing! I wanted to surprise my daughter with cinnamon rolls tomorrow morning. You are the American grandma I would picture teaching her grandkids to bake. Brings great memories of my grandma in Puerto Rico when I was a kid and she thought me to cook, we always used our hands. I dream of one day my girls visiting me with their kids one day. I always use my hands making my mom's, and grandma dressing for Thanksgiving and Christmas I think of them while I do this. I need to make some of these cinnamon rolls 😊 yummy

I live in an outback community in Western Australia and I bake these and give away to people in our community EVERYONE loves them but fortunately mine never look as professional as yours altho I do try hard haha I love you guys Thank you for empowering me to make bread at over 60 iv made many things but always afraid of bread 💜
You will never have a food contamination problem in your home when your home is kept clean like yours is and you wash your hand many times
I love seeing your beautiful family visiting you. It reminds me so much of when I was younger and we visited my parents. My siblings all lived close to my mother so they always came over whenever I showed up with my kiddos. I lived ten hours away so we only visited a few times a year. It was so awesome to see all the cousins playing together while my sisters and I chatted. We had six children in my family ( 5 girls and 1 boy) and my dad passed in 1984. I only have a sister and a brother left now and I live so far north and in another state that I haven’t seen them foe a few years. I cherish the memories of those days when we were altogether and look forward to the future when we are all reunited.

I'm making these right now, my husband will be thrilled when he comes in from work tonight, I will have a pot roast dinner waiting and a cinnamon roll for his dessert. Growing up in a Mormon family his mom baked all the time, and his brother took on the cinnamon rolls from, and I may have this wrong but a recipe from the Beehive house, he made them for us one time while visiting him and they were amazing. I just love how simple your dough seems. Thank you for sharing.

I gotta tell you, I have been on UA-cam for a long long time, but I haven't left a comment in many, many years. I watch your videos nearly every day when I can, you two, and your children, just radiate goodness and love. I haven't been able to see my parents and siblings for some time now (I'm 26 and living on my own with my partner. My family and I both live in New England but in different states). But watching your videos, especially the cooking ones, make me feel like I've got family with me. I hope that is not too strange to say! My birthday always comes right up next to Mother's Day (I'm the 9th), and it makes me a bit sad that I cannot spend either with my Mom this year. Our lives are very different, but you guys make me smile every time I see you getting up to something fun, or simple for that matter. I love to cook, and although I didn't order a book originally, I've been craving making cinnamon rolls again, and I just see this as a sign to finally get the E-version of your cookbook! (Though I've been out of yeast for a couple months now, it seems like it's nowhere to be found these days! But I'm glad that even though there has been some panic-buying across the world and yeast is sparse, that just means that folks have decided to take this opportunity to learn how to make their own bread). Jennifer, the relationship between you and Chad is especially a joy to see. I can see the hard work you both have put into your lives together and the respect that you have for one another, and it makes me wish I saw more couples like you two! You are truly inspiring in many facets of life and I hope that you are enjoying your time with your children and grandchildren now that your quarantine situation has loosened up. And I am so glad that you have been safe and healthy and positive with one another. I know this is a bit of a run-on, but I just feel that I couldn't NOT comment on one more video, considering how big you have me smiling after watching. You can use a stand mixer if you have one. Use the dough hook. I’ve also did it over night. Made them all the way, besides baking. The slowly rise in the fridge, pulled out first thing and let them get warm.

Your bread recipe is the greatest and it taste soo good when I first made it, it was perfect. It's the way you tell how to do it and the way you share your family stories. God bless u more. Hello l went on UA-cam to learn how to make bread and l saw your video and l decided l will watch it l love your down to earth ways and simplicity so l tried your recipe and l'm so proud of myself l made good bread soft and tasty l also like the fact that you use oil. I once heard Dr. Oz said the looser the oil the looser the arteries so l have been using oil to knead with for a very long time now. I modified it to four cups of flour because l live alone. Aah my bread came out so good. So l decided to try the cinnamon roll. I admire your beautiful family and wish one day l might be adopted into one. Will let you know about the cinnamon roll. My sister taught me a trick with her cinnamon rolls: cut them into strips in stead of rolling them as a log and then roll them up individually. That’s what I do now and it’s so much easier. I love to use your tucking trick too!

Looks good! When my brown sugar gets hard, I have it in a ziplock bag, I put a damp paper towel in the bag, then microwave for about 10 seconds at a time, mix up to see if the chunks have broken up, and it works really well.
When you open it keep the rest in a Mason Jar with lid on tight.....you will love it.....

I have tried this recipe that was recorded on Ellie’s channel. Every time I make this the dough is never that nice. It is always too sticky and I have added flour and it still seems sticky. Do you have any suggestions?
Same within mine
Don’t add more flour, instead, cut back on the water by a half a cup. If they are still too sticky cut back another half a cup. Where you live and the different types of flour can make a big difference but adjust with the liquids not the flour and see if that helps.

Trying this for the first time and mine was really sticky too, so I added more flour. I guess I’ll find out after what went wrong.
