The English fluency of the Lithuanian people is amazing.
Is it good? Everyone should speak their own language, english is optional
@@geoberaia6007 I mean it's not like Lithuanians are going around speaking English to each other, being literate in the worlds lingua franca is certainly for the better just by the amount of opportunities and experiences it opens to you.
@@tbrochez2318 That we co-opted the term Lingua Franca to describe the dominant role that the English language plays in world affairs and economics must infuriate the French.
Young people in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia do speak good English, better than most of Europeans. I think that is the reason why Mr.Bald and his handsome Mongolian sidekick are so popular in these places.
True
Lithuania basically gave Bald a homecoming welcome
He is a super star there!
just shows how the youth really feels about the world. too bad politics interfere.
@@thisisemchii yeah i would have figured they wouldn't be too receptive as he likes Soviet stuff and speaks Russian.
they even showed on news that he is in Lithuania and took interviu

Most European countries and universities are.
Even Madonna is older than USA
props to Lithuanian education system for such a good English
English language lessons are compulsory in lithuanian schools, we must attend these for the last 8 years of school. This has become the norm since the 1991

Alternate title: What it’s like to be a famous youtuber in Lithuania w/Bald and Bankrupt.
This was actually hilarious. Crazy how someone can self publish videos online with a cheap camera and become more famous than movie actors nowadays.
It's the real deal ...
Equipment has nothing to do with it. Its the story thats being told
Because movies nowadays has become cheap cgi trash and this is the real stuff. Natural selection is an universal law considering what people choose to watch instead.
He became famous in Lithuania because everyone here is obsessed about story of Chernobyl, and also we watch UA-cam and Netflix more than crappy local television
It's because bald is a real person and not someone who peddles his leftist opinion on Twitter and berates you. And then makes you pay to watch his "new movie" wich is the 576th spin-off or prequel of a franchise that has been dead since 20 years .
I am really impressed by Lithuanian English literacy! Most of the people there speak fluent English compared to nearby countries.
Mate, an as English person, i can say it's better than a lot of English peoples' literacy!
Only 30 independent, wait till we reach 60, we are going to speak 4 languages 😁
It's because most of them been in UK for work and back - if you want to earn little bit more you have to speak English...and obviously in most of Lithuanian schools English is the second language..
@@mikexxx1100 this youngsters definitely wasn't its just new generation and they all* can speak fluently
You must speak English if you want to communicate with the outside world. In the past it was Russian, now we are living in different times.
You know it's Europe when there's a dude in a fashionable suit with a suitcase on an electric scooter 😆
😂😅😂
My wonderful Lietuva! I am Italian, precisely Neapolitan, but it's been almost three years I've fallen in love with this little wonderful Baltic gem that was once the widest European country. I've had two trips thorugh Lietuva so far, I've visited the Baltic shoreline up to Vilnius, passing through Kaunas, Trakai and many other places. There's something magical about this country, when you visit it for the first time having almost no clue what it hides, you do get an unknown good vibe that is typical of all those places and peoples who counted in history and who stood out in the centuries. I am a historian, so I immediately sought to master my knowledge of Lithuanian history and now I coudl brag about being an expert at it! No wonder my upcoming bachelor's degree's topic is medieval Lithuania, from Mindaugas up to the battle of Tannenberg that Lithuanians call Žalgiris. I've got severa Lithuanian friends, also a couple of exes along the way and I can say that Lithuanians are fantastic too. I have got only good memories and I can't wait to come back. Just a little word of advice for Benjamin and Johnny: treat Lithuanians as such, without trying to put them in comparison with Slavs and other people. They are Baltic, they are of a different kind. When Lithuanians understand you are aware of their heritage and their importance in history, they will open up much more easily. The label of minor country is not suitable at all for Lietuva and we shall all recover and appreciate that mighty and pivotal heritage the Soviets tried to erase shamefully.
Greitai pasimatysime, Lietuva! From Italia, with love!
What a lovely comment. You are welcome at any time. I feel the same about Italy, love visiting there but I've never been to Napoli, I only discovered Lombardy, Liguria and a bit of Tuscany, I'm definitely gonna discover more of Italy soon.
@@ZhylvisLT I thank you very much! You're always welcome to Italy as well. I recommend you to find out the South thoroughly, which is the actual core of Italian culture.
I hope I'll be able to come back to Lietuva soon, but all the restrictions and green pass make it impossible for unvaccinated people like me.
Have a good day!
Thank you :) Greetings from Lithuania!
read up on Barbora Radvilaite (Barbara Radzvill), Bona Sforza and what is called Neapolitan money, will give you some local Neapolitan flavour of the history too.
aww, you're making me blush. Such a sweet comment :) Cheers!
This is turning into Bald's fan channel. Johnny is just here to hold the camera.
You are totally right!
And take pictures of 👩🦲 fans.
Johnny could name his channel Daily Bald ll
Totally agree, they could aswell just upload these vids at bald's channel and get more revenue
Yeah, it's great content though.
I had no freakin' idea Lithuanians were dialed in to bald's channel so much and it's awesome.

He's probably the only famous UA-camr in Lithuania right now.
He must be hella famous eastern block status.

When he took the glove off to shake balds hand, that was very respectful and America would never.
Its a common thing in lithuania, to take your glove off before handshake
I would say absoute majority of handshakes happens with gloves off in Lithuania. At least pre covjd, so it is not a special respect. Handshakes with gloves would be considered strange and often disrespectful.
Handshake with gloves is a big disrespect.
SO TRUE!
It's also quite disrespectful to not stand up when shaking someone's hand. For example if you are seated
I met Bald by chance in Warsaw Airport a few months ago. First I wasn't sure it was him and I was a little apprehensive to approach him because I wasn't sure he wanted people bothering him. But I was happy to find out that not only was it really him, but he was more than happy to chat, he answered questions I had about his UA-cam career, talked about his personal life and took interest in mine, we joked, had banter. I wanted to leave him be (he actually said he was taking a break from UA-cam at the time), but he offered to take a selfie with me.
Truly genuine and all round lovely person. I wish him well on all his journeys
that's great! seems like an approachable guy even though on camera looks a bit disturbed by it.

Lithuania is really a wonderful country and Vilnius is among my top cities in the world! Important history, nice people that feels very European, great coffee and food, beautiful women and overall a pleasant place to stay...
I am Italian, proudly Neapolitan, fallen in love with this amazing little big country!

PS: I fully know that also in Lithuania there are problems!
This is the same in every country of the world and in Europe.

Lithuania is 1st in the Europe and 2nd in the world by suicidal rate per capita. Yes It's so "Awesome" here.
@TaZeR plus they're showing the most fancy places of Lithuania in their videos lmao Go 5 minutes from the oldtown or drive to suburbs and It's pretty mutch same as Russia everywhere.
@@cokedoutmarkhamill8179 It is awesome here. The mentality is the problem. It starts in a lot of families where children are just thought self-hate by their ignorant parents. Literally, most of the children in rural areas when asked about their future dreams would say emigration because that's what they were thought by their parents. Maybe it's the transition trauma or something, but a lot of us are just incapable of seeing changes and blame their life problems on politicians. Thak god, my mom thought me better.
You have no idea on how you guys impacted our lives especially during lockdown..all across the globe .. truly you left a mark both you and bald ..cheers and i wish both of you the best life has to offer .

England is the total opposite to Lithuania. Unless your parents come from another place originally, it’s rare that anyone speaks another language. Big respect to Lithuania 🇱🇹, their English is incredible.
I’ve always loved and been interested in Lithuania, such a beautiful country with a rich history and culture. Respect from England 🏴🇱🇹
Lithuanians are such beautiful people.
When i moved to Lithuania in 2011 on the first week many people bought me drinks in bars as a wolcome drink, in the country. It was really nice.
Turns out 90% of Bald's audience is in Lithuania! 😂
By seeing their fluency in English i am not surprised at all to see a huge Bald's fan base in Lithuania.

It's a super place.......Spent 3 days in Vilnius, 2 in Druskininkai, 1 in Kaunas during October, and I will spend Christmas in Vilnius...Really impressed with Lithuania. 🇱🇹🇮🇪
No, that’s The Baldic States.
This is the prime example why a lot of foreign FinTech companies are moving their regional HQs to Lithuania. Every young person speaks freely in English and population in general is very well educated, yet relatively cheap labor. So if you want a cheap, yet high skilled person - hire a Lithuanian.
Well educated people wouldn’t do cheap labour 😄 Thats why people in Lithuania taking education very seriously ,because you would be lost living on a small wage
@@saneran25 good salary inUS int rhat good in norway or Switzerland... It depends on country
Not so cheap labour anymore though, with 10% salary growth each year and still loads of vacancies. The FinTech companies have been moving here more because of regulatory environment and because the Bank of Lithuania together with the previous and current government have been active in attracting them.
And people used to say that us Lithuanians are cold and unfriendly. Beat that! :)
This place looks better than many places in the United States. Very clean and beautiful!
All Lithuanian cities are like that.

Lithuania seems like a beautiful country with amazing people. Proud to have Canadian troops stationed in Lithuania 🇨🇦🤝 🇱🇹
You know, I'm just happy to see Lithuanians being a lot more extroverted and emotional these dsys. Really cool. I was born and raised in Lithuania. I left in 2011 and hadn't been back until 2020.
It's so nice to see the people and the country having changed a lot - a lot more positive, a lot kinder, braver, more open minded, more extroverted etc. It's so nice to see that. Lithuanian people striking a conversation with a stranger - as little as 10 years ago I wouldn't have thought I'd ever see that! I'm happy for the country and the people.
I still remember the overall negativity of 80s, 90s and 00s, and it's so nice to see how much better everything has gotten! Wow!

All of you being so extra positive about Lithuania forget one thing about all this , it shows the most fancys places in the capital with obviously the most educated people, literally 5min car ride from the video its a complet different world with the same mentality as back in the days if not worst... My father is Lithuanian and I’ve never visited, and was honestly a bit hesitant to due to the language barrier. But it seems like a very modern country with a lot of English speakers! Now I want to go, like tomorrow!!

@@JohnnyFD I had no idea! I seriously was just talking to my dad about going and was scared because Lithuanian is a very very hard language to learn even the basics. Flights in April are cheap, my sister and I may book one soon!!
@@alyssastephanie re: language being hard, it’s what they like you to think 💭😀 In reality Mandarin, Arabic, Hebrew will be much harder to learn. Probably even English (to speak properly). They say Lithuanian is as close to Proto-Indo-European language (a possible ancestor for Sanskrit, Latin and Greek - a theoretical reconstructed concept) as it gets due to its archaic/conservative structure (in philological terms) and for that it is studied at universities worldwide. 😉
