  • In this talk, Kathleen delves deeper into her experience both as a student and a teacher about queer education and homophobia in Scottish schools. Using her experience as a lens through which to view this, she explores the common misconceptions of queer education and the distortion around it. Kathleen Reynolds is in primary teaching currently studying for a second masters in Inclusive Education. She is a carer and is passionate about LGBT+ issues and Additional Support Need Education.
Their talk will address the conspiracy that teaching children about LGBT+ issues will ‘turn them gay’. Kathleen’s research into this area will be discussed and how homophobia in school impacted her as a student and as a teacher. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Grooming!!! They literally call us their breeders...we breed their future partners, and as they run out of partners they recruit children from the ages of 4 and make sure they're confused by the end of primary school, confused enough for them to swoop in and snatch up a partner
