Hey.. I am from India and you inspires me to have a proper evening routine and my todays evening routine is a follows.
Come back from college, Have a cup of tea with a snack, have a relaxing bath, Do laundry, Study for 2 hours, go for a walk, read and then sleep 🙂
Strong-smelling essential oils like eucalyptus or tea tree are deterrents to rats as they hate the smell. You can dilute some in water and spray it around anywhere you don't want it going, and it's especially useful around any holes you know it's coming in. You can also push some wire wool into the hole as they can't chew through that so it should keep them out!

Hey Lydia, with regards to the rat in your kitchen, there’s these plugs that you can get that make a noise that they don’t like and it’s sends them away, that might help xx
