Great points! One of my biggest mistakes is COUNTING INVENTORY as it is loaded back in the truck 🤦🏽♂️. I’ve lost a few picnic tables and umbrellas. As well as being called back by a client to tell us we left an item behind.
My second. Biggest mistake is not buying enough inventory before the prices went up. But I guess you can never predict those things from happening. 🤷🏽♂️
YES! Counting inventory is massive! We forget to do that properly all the time. We need to really drill that in to ourselves to make it a consistent habit.
You can make sheets document input all inventory with barcode labels and scan before going out. At the event scan again to match up.
Great stuff as always 👏
Lots of greats info, thank you for all of your insight.

I am not charging down non refundable tax for gigs ahead of time. Till now 2 refused/not happened events.
This year I got the hook with the big opposites for work working for one lady that was “so spiritual, so exited, so likeminded”. In the end she pay till the dime and didn’t add any tip for all the extra work we made for her as you said in the video.
Great info. Book only 1 year out. Sneaky types want to book today with todays pricing. Military discount which I understand as I am Air Force. I work with them.
Last minute bookings looking for a discount
Do you think charging a 50% down payment is to much ? Or should I reduce it to less ? I am starting my rental business.. wish you the best and thank you for uploading these helpful videos.
We do 25%. But 25-50 is standard.
Asking the customer less questions. Usually ends up with more work and it not being to their liking.
Happens at every safety meeting. Guys telling these long stories about when this or that happened. A 10 minute meeting turns into a hour long session.
So if you deliver and set up to 5 days before the event and then take down up to 5 days after the event, how can you afford to lose 10 days of being able to rent the tent? for such a length of time, how many actual days does the customer pay to rent/have the tent up? Thank you in advance.
Someone having your equipment for 8-10 days is too long
