    On to my 4th video. I’m looking to start something very similar but my end game is to buy land, and cultivate and build an event property, buildings, lodgings; catering the works; multiple locations around the property offering all the traditional outdoor ideas. This is amazing, and I would love to make contact and pick your brain. Thanks for good content

    Do you have any suggestions on how to combine 2 10x20 pop ups with sleeved legs to a rain gutter so I can technically have a 20x20 waterproof tent?

    Why do you boil the leg feet? Is it easier to put them on or is that how they kind of mold to the chair? I need to do this.

    So how it is when customers pick up the tents...do they always bring them back? Or they don't? Are they damaged a lot? And what do you do ,when they don't bring back the tent? Or when the tent is damaged?

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  3 роки тому +3

      Always check the tent with them before. With them after or as soon as you can. Take pictures of their ID upon pickup. Take the credit card on file and charge a damage deposit if you need to. They always bring them back. You have to be firm with you clients with warnings on the emails and contracts. If you are firm they will respect your stuff. Also be prepared to lose a tent or 2 due to damage every season. Keep that broken tent for replacement parts.

    How much do those barrels weigh? Do you add anything to add weight to them to keep them from tipping?

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  9 місяців тому +1

      They don’t weigh much. I try to keep the barrels watered. When they dry out they become very light. Also I recommend some lighter styles of string lights. I also tell clients to use a barrel every 20’.

    Why do you use sandbags? Not the stakes, I use stakes and it works...

    • @therentalguy
      @therentalguy  3 роки тому +1

      There are many reasons.
      1. In some areas stake are prohibited
      2.stakes cannot be used on concrete
      3. If you give the clients different options you can have them to be added separately for additional cost and when they add separately it gives them more reason to decide how many they want. This is the perfect opportunity to let them know that the best choice is using both.
      (The tent your looking at has 6 ratchets and stakes = $9.00 but they also added 4 sandbags for an extra $14.00. So in total having the weights and stakes separate gained me $23.00!)

      @@therentalguy I bought some water bag style weights from Amazon. They look like they take sand but they take water, much better, IMO.
