Very pretty! There is one thing I always wondered: I am scared that by pulling apart and loosening the braid I might damage my hair. So I never do that, but it looks nicer. Do you think I am overprotective? I could not find anything about that on the internet.

Actually I've never really thought about it before! It probably COULD do some damage but I've never really noticed that so much in my own hair.
I think that if you brush out tangles beforehand and then put the elastic at the end loosely it should be ok. After all you're basically just widening the hair, not pulling it in the opposite direction like you would if you were teasing.
But if you feel strange go with your gut. You can just braid loosely! Hope that helps alittle!

Yes, actually that helps a lot. Thank you for thinking about it. I just won`t do it for everyday work hairstyles and for nicer occasions I will leave the elastic looser at first as you suggested. The damage that I imagined would probably be from the elastic just like when girls tighten their Ponytail by pulling the elastic upwards.
