Makes me miss my '67 camper terribly. Best vehicle back in the day for going on a month cross-country trip. I'd love to find one in decent shape like some of these...on my bucket list.
June show is always the largest but the rain kept a lot of local folks away. February and October are also good size events. My SC @ 12:03.Thanks for sharing this.
VERY COOL VANS!!! . . . . .& more 'safari windows' than I've seen in DECADES!!!!!Makes me wish I still had my '62,, crewcab w/OEM safari windows!!!!. . . Thank you for sharing!!!

you'd be hard pressed to find a vw bus on the east coast let alone all these, they all rusted away with the chemicals they used on the roads in the winter.there are some but a lot less. i had a 65 in 1969 until the early 70's but its long gone now.those were some good times.
I sold my 74 panel camper Bus In 1998 and got a 1000$ for it in 98 dollars....I got out while the gitting was good..look at all the old people there...yep, no kid now is gonna plop down good money for a ie lawn mower engine van in 2018..dont git me wrong I love VW's and had them all my life but dont need one sitting in my garage just to look at or go to the local store..I have an e-bike for that.
There is nothing absolutely nothing like driving a splitty. It's not for every one. For one you have to know what the hell you are doing. 74 panel is nice but not even close.
I wonder if that PPR window van used to be mine. Wrecked in 1979 on the way home by a red light running suicidal girl. I got nothing but a coma and a year off work to recover. Life is strange. Canadian guy from West Long Beach bought the bus with brand new Michelin radial tires for $400 and then proceeded to move the cab back about 1.5" to where it was before the crash. My head had hit the overhead air vent. Not good. A witness from bible study said the thing came off the ground when the impact happened. Crazy bitch then plowed into a flower shop. Sad.
christine joy thanks. Yeah was a busy day and moments of rain put the pro in the step. Perhaps next event you can come out and try your hand at covering it.
Ahh love the buses! I can't wait to get mine fixed up and drive!
