My drivers door window button has come loose I guess because I can't get the window to go up any more. I can see that pushing down on it still activates the down motor but the up motor is not being activated by the button. It's kind of loose. Any fix for this besides replacing that button console? Thanks for a great video. Very helpful.
Can you remove the upholstered panel between the handle and arm rest? I’m getting my seats reupholstered and want to match that panel to the new seat color.
STEP ONE: disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. Once you got the inner panel off like in the video, you need to pop off the trim that runs from just inside where the rear view mirror is mounted along the window edge. Then you'll see 3 nuts and bolts and an electric cable. disconnect the cable and undo the bolts to remove the old one and reverse to install the new one.
Yes you can. After removing the panel, you will notice two push in tabs in the area of the mirror, just pull those two and you can gently bend back the trim to get to the mirror nuts. Just be sure to do this on a warm day or in a warm garage. The whole replacement took me less that 25 minutes start to finish.
I would take off the door panel and see if something is disconnected. It could be as easy as a plug not being all the way in or a fuse being blown(which is not behind the door panel).
@@travissnyder933 Try removing the button console on the door. Mine does this frequently. It just lifts out using a butter knife or screwdriver, and then you unplug it, wait 30 seconds and replug it again. 90% of the time it works 70% of the time.
Thanks Travis very clear. Mirror replaced 20 min. You're the man.
Dumb question. How did you pull the plastic cover to replace the side mirrors?
Great video! Thank you for sharing. Leaving that Philips screw in is a smart idea lol what a pain in the butt when I took the first one out
Great vid, thanks for just getting to the point.
Thanks for the video!
Needed this to replace the mirror on mine. Glad it should be an easy fix.
Where did you order your mirror from?

How do you replace the whole wing driver side mirror?

@@ChristopherMocko got it done, thanks
Can you acess the side mirror by removing the panel or is that a whole thing on its own?
