P.C.O.R Method explained in more detail:
    P: What was the project?
C: What challenges did you face?
O: How did you overcome those challenges?
R: What were the results you generated?
This is a great method to use when talking about your achievements in a performance review. Here is an example of how to use it,
"When I was organising the webinar in September to train our new graduate recruits, I struggled to be concise on my powerpoint slides. Some of the feedback I got was that there was too much to read on the slides. So when I conducted this webinar a second time in December, I removed most of the text from the powerpoint slides. I also used images and graphs to make it more engaging. The feedback I received after the second webinar was much more positive. People said they learned a lot about the company".
Do you see how I used the P.C.O.R method in the above example?

The problem that I have is that everything I do, I don't take them as accomplishment. I have a bad habit of not wanting recognition because for me, I'm there to do my job and do it to the best of my ability. Lol

Doing your job is important, but so too is remembering your accomplishments, no matter how big or small.

Its best time to glorify your presence in the company. Your comments are nothing to do with your rating or bonus. Mgmt decide, so I will put best self appraisal to glorify and celebrate my work and achievements.

Thank you, this was fabulous! Also, I think you have a great voice for recordings -- it sounds like a more soothing, human version of AI. Thanks again!! :)

Thank you very much for so valuable information, I have just started in a company and I’m from a foreign country, so things here are pretty different from where I came from + I have to work in a different language, so I was really scared about my first performance review, But this video give me a lot of information to be prepared, thanks 😊

I think it is really easy if I talk with some stranger who don't know any thing about me because I can speak without any hesitation before him .

Yes! I find it's much easier with strangers too Faisal. They don't know you so you can go into the conversation as a new person. In a way, it's freeing.

Who would put negative comments on their employee' permanent record? Even with low rating, only positive comments must be put in writing. Anyone put any nasty comments, they should bot be in leadership role, total idiot

Is it just me or does this all seem made-up to anyone else?

It’s very perfect world and utopian like. And i don’t think is geared towards the reality of American workers and work culture. I think this video is more eat the meat, and spit out the bone (take what you need, and leave what you don’t). I also like to listen to these type of videos because they are positive. I use these videos to strategize, and to motivate myself when I’m down in the dumps at work.

Why are you listening so slowly?

    • @the_n00b_gamergirl
      @the_n00b_gamergirl 6 місяців тому

😅I thought she spoke slowly and incredibly clearly.. she enunciated words very clearly 😅 I guess this is aimed towards NATIVE English speakers... The audience for this video isn't ESL people....
Also, it's called a PAUSE button ⏸️... and you can adjust the playback speed. 😅
