I like the fact you’re showing the mistakes it happens at work, like other UA-camr don’t record it, also like the you fix it not just get over it ,you’re doing a great job, can’t wait to see it done
Whether people show it or not, mistakes are occasionally made by everyone! We don't mind showing ours, and what really matters is that they are always corrected!
great work as always, thanks for showing step by step and showing how to overcome some problems and corrections. I a SUUUUUUPER jealous of this deck and I have a 16'x24' screened in back porch that is on a slab 4' off the ground, and I am going to add an additional 16'x12' to the side of that porch to make it 16'x36' screened in porch. I will put plastic deck boards in on corner at 6'x6' I will put (2) 3'x8' corrugated metal sheets under the deck 2x4 braced at an angle with a stop and drain with P-trap that will collect the run off from a exposed pipe shower above in the porch. That drain will connect to the main drain under my house. I will also cinderblock under and support for a 6' jetted free standing tub on side of my corner shower. Thanks so much for the ideas.
Wow, this is huge. Can't wait to see your tricks and how it all works. I'm surprised the doors were close to the same height. They can be a real pain sometimes.
our oldest deckorators deck is about 5 years old now and still looking great! Biggest thing to worry about in terms of maintaining the deck is simply washing it which you can do with a wide fan tip on a power washer
Can't wait to see this behemoth finished! Just going off of the render so maybe it just wasn't in there, but I'm really surprised they didn't opt for any stairs from the balcony down to the deck. Maybe they're just a rope ladder kinda family 😂
hahah rope ladder would be sick! But honestly we just decided that a set of stairs would take up too much room on the lower deck and that balcony is really just for a private little hangout for the master bedroom so we wanted to keep it separate
I'm curious, how accurate are you able to place those helical piles? Seems like there would be at least an inch or two error with the post base directly attached to them, how do you account for that?
Our installers are actually super accurate, if they have to deviate from our mark by more than a half inch they will check with me to make sure its ok. They also have offset brackets if it needs to be a couple inches out of line for whatever reason
Hey... So the screw pile system, would that be a option for 4x4's when doing fences also??? I have about 700 feet for of 8 foot fencing that I'm starting to take down 2 sections at a time and re doing(just replacing all the 4x4's(about 60 of them 10 footers & 120 2x4x8's) I able able to salvage all the 8 foot pickets after power washing and staining black. Just seems like the 4x4's would last longer not putting 2 ft in the ground!!
For starters, the best and for sure way of measuring on center (OC) is literally measuring and checking from and on the center. Just a good habit for contractors to do, there's so many guys that screw up by making that one mistake.
You guys are hilarious 😂 why didn't you just dig by the house and confirm the direction of the septic line? Would have saved you so much worry haha. Love the builds guys!
hahah glad you can also get a laugh, we get plenty while were working! We though about that but the pipe is at least 4 feet down so that would be so much digging and anytime you try to dig out a pipe you run the risk of hitting it with the shovel as youre looking for it. Luckily we made out good and didnt hit the pipe!!
@@THEpremieroutdoor kidding buddy I am subscribed and watching! I hv a question? You make your wife swing a hammer?? Maybe I should hv done that? Mine left? Anyway I am a finish carpenter / contractor and enjoy watching this type of building !
I’ve never made my wife swing a hammer! If you are talking about Catherine, she’s somebody else’s wife and he doesn’t work here, so technically I don’t think he makes her swing a hammer either, she just does it. Sorry yours left though! Maybe try the hammer thing with the next one!
4:08 This disgruntled worker should be reprimanded. I'd send Ant to the van and replace him with Katherine before this negative attitude spreads throughout the team. I'm kidding!🤣
cut out 1st 10 seconds, cut out drone turning, keep flyback, you intro'd an intro timelapse (while ruining it with a 2nd sub ask pop tag) then intro'd logo , too much

By the looks of it, you guys got that Big Deck Energy.
Thanks for the new shirts! They are much appreciated. I’ll be sure to sport it around SNJ.
Yes! So glad you guys received them!!
Awesome stuff! Looking forward to see the method you guys use to accomplish the dry space under the master bedroom deck.
its a cool product we've been wanting to try for quite a while, stay tuned!!
Great work as always guys. Tony will be pleased 😂😂👍👍🏴🏴
I think he was pleasantly surprised with our progress without him!! 😂
It looks really sturdy! Great job!
That deck is going to be amazing.
Gonna be a big ol party deck!!

sounds like quite the project, good luck my friend!!

We’ve got some really cool details coming on this one, can’t wait to start bringing it together!
Great stuff! Congrats to Anthony! ❤
Thanks man!! Our boy is growing up!
Congrats on 300k everyone. You all kick ass.... Tony the Tigers my guy... 💪🏽😂
Thanks so much buddy!! He will be stoked to hear that! 🤣
Man this is going to be epic!
Stay tuned 😉
Awesome! Would love to see a dekorators deck that’s been exposed to elements after 10 years and how to maintain them😊

I love watching your work. Didn’t see Joist hangers on the house. Are they required? I have no idea.
They are and we did add them! We just run the joists first and go back in and add the hangers later.
Anthony is the glue. And everything goes crazy when he's gone
You're not wrong! 🤣
Mega mega deck, let's go!
Nothing to it but to do it!!!
Initial stages are really stressful 😅
As soon as it takes shape, the inspiration begins.
Absolutely man!!
I desperately wish I could find a company even half this competent
i'm sure they are out there just do lots of research and ask for recommendations from other people in your area!
Can't wait to see this behemoth finished! Just going off of the render so maybe it just wasn't in there, but I'm really surprised they didn't opt for any stairs from the balcony down to the deck. Maybe they're just a rope ladder kinda family 😂

Coming along
What type of lumber are you using - I’m curious how it will weather? Do you treat it with anything?

Nevermind.... I read that would be insanely expensive! 😢

Such a nice build well done! Sorry if you've answered a million times but what do you use for your renders?
thanks a lot!! I use Realtime landscape architect!
You can get a paint marking wand instead of bending over and spraying the paint , its so much easier, more accurate and quicker ..
That's a great idea!
assume joist hangers installed later?
Yep! We go back and install them after everything is set in place.
Love the videos! What software/tools do you use to show the clients how the deck is going to look like before building it? 7:23
Real Time Landscape Architect!
We built a 1,700 sq.ft. deck on our home in Alaska. One corner was 16 gazebo. The house was south of Wasilla, Alaska.
sounds like an awesome project!!
You guys are almost as entertaining as the Perkins Builder Brothers!
love their channel! thanks for watching 😃

What did this deck cost ?
AHA I WAS THE 1K LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!
I thoughts this was Dr Decks Channel ? Then I seen u did not use G tape and made a bunch of mistakes ? So I knew I was lost? Nice shed though!
okay!

👊👊👊
You guys rock, even without ant lol
Thanks buddy!!
What state you guys from ?
They’re in New Jersey.
Why not call dig safe before digging here in Massachusetts we not allowed to dig untill they are called
We do, but they don’t mark out septic…some townships will mark out public sewer all the way to the house but that’s hit or miss as well
It's a private septic tank...

Tensions run high on framing days!
Looks like the hydraulics on the mini ex need attention. 😂
we've got enough issues with our little dingo lol, luckily the mini ex isnt our responsibility
That's a whole lot of wood...
sure is! 😂
Nice bruise
still hasn't completely gone away 😂
Now that’s a $140,000 deck 🤣
Eyy First

Noted!
Projects are always great but dude you are annoying. I feel bad for your employees
Thank you for the feedback, they should probably start a support group for each other!
Oddly I can appreciate the mistakes and in how they are handled.
It is a start but where are all the DECK JOIST HANGERS /FRAMING BRACKETS Also the timbers are bowed to crap..
