@nshapkar a lot of metalcore bands around this time tended to over-produce their albums. Especially Trustkill and Victory bands. Atreyu and Bury Your Dead did this as well.
@@michaelbrush741idk dude, the bands you mentioned sound fine to me on their Victory releases. Just something about this song going from the demo version where the guitars sound more professional than the studio version. The rest of the album is fine, and I’d probably think Gasoline was fine if I never heard this demo version first. It’s almost like they turned the treble knob all the way down on the album version if that makes sense. The guitars on this demo version sound crisp and cut through.
@@nshapkar I mean, they still sound good. Don't get me wrong. I just think the guitar tone on their EPs sound better. "Deanne The Arsonist" will always be a top 10 metalcore song for me. I just think the producers went a little heavy handed with the pro-tools.
I downloaded this version on Limewire wayyyy back in the day, and when I bought the cd I was disappointed to find the version on the cd not being the same as this. I preferred this one a lot more.
I have been looking for this version FOREVER. okay not forever but for at least like a couple years I was never able to find it again thank you so so so much!
The lyrjcs for this version ( for me the best) It Dies Today - Freak Gasoline Fight Accident All hail the unseen one he who dances in the shadows bathing in the darkness exuding from the very bowels of mankind, with such longanimity had he tolerated this anomie, but now with unimagined malice he prays for an end to the atrocity known as man (chorus) and when the world finally comes to an end, he'll simply laugh and smile, for he would take such comfort in knowing there would be no tomorrow, he'd take such comfort in knowing we will never see another day Sweet irony has reared itself again, in that the one who is disgusted with the way mankind has degenerated wishes for all that is living to suffer Understand that he is hopeless, he is bitter, and he is filled with great spite, from witnessing first hand man's decline, he is simply hopeless, he is bitter and is filled with great spite (chorus) Bidding Farewell to a loathesome world...
Every 3 years I come back to this song. I remember downloading it to my mp3 via phone and could never figure what the name was that was in 9th grade, found the name in 12th, now I listen to this song every 2 years so I can reminisce
This song still slaps. And this version > the album. Mainly for the vocalist being able to hit that low on the word “suffer”. This version is just more brutal
They took out the guitar riff between 1:43 - 1:53 just before the breakdown on the re-release. That is a fucking cool riff too!! big mistake. I wish that riff was a little louder in this version
My boy sneaked a tire iron into a IDT show on Long Island in his sleeve back in 04’ thats how crazy this shit was back then if you weren’t around in those days you simply don’t know
I forgot how much better this version is compared to the album
Yea I prefer over the album version much more aggressive
Yeah no clue what they did with their guitar amps on the album, they sound terrible. On this version they’re perfect.

Indeed. It's like it slipped out of my mind and thank god it managed to sneak itself back in where it belonged. My own thoughts and feelings.

The lyrjcs for this version ( for me the best)
It Dies Today - Freak Gasoline Fight Accident
All hail the unseen one he who dances in the shadows
bathing in the darkness exuding from the very bowels
of mankind, with such longanimity had he tolerated
this anomie, but now with unimagined malice he prays
for an end to the atrocity known as man
(chorus)
and when the world finally comes to an end, he'll simply laugh and smile, for he would take such
comfort in knowing there would be no tomorrow, he'd
take such comfort in knowing we will never see another day
Sweet irony has reared itself again, in that the
one who is disgusted with the way mankind has
degenerated wishes for all that is living to suffer
Understand that he is hopeless, he is bitter, and
he is filled with great spite, from witnessing first
hand man's decline, he is simply hopeless, he is
bitter and is filled with great spite
(chorus)
Bidding Farewell to a loathesome world...
finally THIS version of the song. took me ages to find it. thanks man
He is simply hopeless, he is bitter. He is filled WITH GREAT SPITE
Seriously. This demo is so much better than what they released. Hella disappointed when i heard the album bs.
The deep grunt in the first verse lol 0:47 “ Dass....OLAH...EUGH!”
Nicks lyrics were always so incredible. I really hope a new album is still coming out.. I really liked the new song
Never knew that the title of this song is from zoolander lol.

This is my favorite version.
And when the world finally comes to an end,
He'll simply laugh and smile for he would take such comfort,
In knowing that there would be no tomorrow.
best version hands down
it dies today is a band that got me into heavier music ,and i am thankful for that :)
