I thoroughly appreciate your interview, questions were honest but appropriate. In a perfect world, color shouldn’t matter. I’m an American born mexican woman taught to stay within my culture but my marriage to a Mexican man didn’t survive. I researched my ancestry and found that my family has African and European ancestry. I’m happy that these racial attitudes are continually changing in America and around the world. God has blessed us with the ability to love one another.
I feel like people only touch on interracial relationships that is about Caucasian and African American. its always the biggest deal. what about Caucasian and Chinese or African American and Mexican what about India and Porto Rican. those are interracial relationships as well. I'm sure you have Chinese people that disapprove of their son or daughter dating someone who is Caucasian or Mexican, they don't like it either, its not only a debate that should only be talked about between black and white.
😂😂😂 Other Races Dont Matter Fufu,😂 People have a Problem with it Because White Hates Black And Blacks Hate White PERIOD. LOLLLL Have you Ever Read A REAL BLACK History Book Before???????? Growing up I would Always Hear my Father tell my 2 brothers including Myself Not to Bring An White person Into The Family Because you Would Pitty His and Our Worth As A Race.
My family has been mixed since the early 1900's. My paternal grandfather had married a mixed race woman, she was mixed with Iroqious Native Americans and AA from near the Canadian border. My father was born in 1931 and my mother was born in 1933 as a immigrant from Jamaica. I showed up in 1957 and had 20 years in the military, the 6th of 7 consecutive generations in uniform. I have 3 mixed children, 8 grandchildren and one ex wife. My oldest son adopted a a beautiful young lady with dark blonde hair. In my interviews with the girls she and her equally beautiful, velvety brown sisters. these girls just don't care about a person's color they care about character and completely dismiss race. This is the future. My 2nd oldest granddaughter is dating a little brown boy with a Filipino mother. Our family is how America looks.
I once met this white girl in Texas a few years back and Damn she was fine! She looked like cross between Linda Blair (In the 80s) and Anna Paquin. She had it all-Pretty face, great body, nice legs, pretty feet, great personality, multi-talented, a gifted singer and a good cook. We dated for 19 months and she was good to me. she even wanted marry me and have my kids but I wasn't ready to make that commitment and I blew it. She got on that plane to San Francisco and never looked back.

I'm telling this story to anybody who finds true love, don't let it slip because you may not get another chance and it will torment you for the rest of your life. When I look back on it, I realized I had a good woman. one of the few white girls from the south that wasn't racist. Whose family welcomed me with open arms at Thanksgiving. Whose ancestors help rescue & free slaves. I was black and she was white but she didn't care! She accepted me for who I was!
The last time I saw her, she at the airport ready to start her new job in San Francisco, we had a string of arguments before then about whether or not I was ready to marry her. Minutes before she boarded the plane, she asked me "Do you love me?" and I said " Yes" and then she said "Then marry me. Live a life with me. Have children with me." But for some reason, I couldn't. Then she gives me one last kiss and places her hand on my cheek and says " I love you" and I never saw her again.
I was walking down the road, feeling in the mood to eat a hotdog. I walked down to the stand and saw an interracial couple. I got pissed ; They bought the last hot dog. I wasted my time.
@sillykatz for some of us, in order to survive as a people, dating outside "your group" could lead to "your group" no longer existing. Granted this is extreme and very rare, but all the same should not be ignored.

Interracial marriage is awesome. I wouldn't be here today if it never existed. Being mixed coming from a diverse family and raised to love and enjoy being mixed having friends who were also like me is a great experience. I feel so lucky to have a mom who doesn't care who I bring home or the fact I tend to date latin/white guys. My issue with race is being told how to live by others. Like I should be black and calling myself mixed is wrong. It isn't right or fair.

@GurlCaa I don't think that is true, Actually I noticed that biracial people usually date the race of their opposite gender parent. So if the guy's mom is white he will date white women, and if the biracial girl's dad is black then she will date black men. @loulou5665 I am the same towards BW. One day I found myself more physically attracted to them. Also, Interracial couples are becoming more and more frequent. U.S. Census statistics for the divorce rate say that black woman / white man marriages are the lowest in divorces even compared to WM/WW marriages, while other interracial couplings have the higher divorce rates because of cultural differences. It also shows that WW get divorced more than anyone else, no matter who they are with.
Great job ... but there was one things that I did disagree with. Even though our country has a horrible past regarding the subject of racism, not ALL caucasians and/or african-americans have a deep-rooted issue with race. I was raised as a military brat and in our community and as I grew up into the woman I am today, I did not have any problem with race.
..White People always want you to offer realistic solutions to problems they've caused. And "most blacks already having white genes" has never spared one single black person from being either viewed or treated differently. So. I'm glad you're happy. I wish Happiness for all people. But I'm not persuaded to see anything oppositely from how I already do, where interracial relationships are concerned. Too much ongoing negativity & bias, to accept "that humankind" pitch. Thx for responding, Douglas
im from newport news, va and i will agree mixing is more accepted in hampton roads but this place is also very racist so its very complex. this is still the south albeit very mixed with military influence. the funny thing is the areas where people most mix are in the ghetto and middle class area.
From NC just south of there: My wife is black (French Afro Caribbean)...what amazed and shocked her was the only people who verbalized an issue with us were African-Americans. If any white folks took issue they never said anything.
As of the census in 2008 it was recorded of all the interracial marriages in the United States that BW and WM marriages have an over 40 percent lower rate of divorce within ten years than any other and you are a troll. Troll = someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
@misscamara12 she didn't say only black women she said both. and only because white is the dominant culture/ what is preferred, which you can tell shows with and hurts the black husband about his own kids.
@kittybookitty thats really prejudice to state that the only white people that are racist are those below the Mason Dixon line and are the stereotypical "hillbilly". I'm from Chicago and trust me as a white person, I hear racist comments "up north" as well.
I forgot to finish even it there was something like that in the bible who cares people will date whoever they want to. Who are you to judge someone because they choose to date another race. How would you feel about me? I am with someone that is of mixed race.
Standing Ovation for that statement. Color is nothing more than just a superficial biological trait. Now culture is what is important and even biculturalism is possible.
simply because eight people agree with you, you believe that gives your "reasoning" any sort of merit? and because they understood it, that makes it logical? i read your post a number of times and nowhere did you explain how their behaviors were derivative of their biracial backgrounds or choices in partner. what you (and those 8 people) don't understand is that MOST behavior is a product of one's environment which entails things like socioeconomic status and educational backgrounds of parents.
You should have gone to San Francisco with her and you two would have lived happily ever after. The SF Bay area although its expensive to live there is very open minded and much less racist than in Texas!

that's odd. My school was 10% black and they were rarely visible and unimportant. go figure.
..White People always want you to offer realistic solutions to problems they've caused.
I don't see anything wrong with interracial marriage. After all, Hod made man in his image, regardless of race.
im from newport news, va and i will agree mixing is more accepted in hampton roads but this place is also very racist so its very complex. this is still the south albeit very mixed with military influence. the funny thing is the areas where people most mix are in the ghetto and middle class area.
❤💯
@misscamara12 she didn't say only black women she said both. and only because white is the dominant culture/ what is preferred, which you can tell shows with and hurts the black husband about his own kids.
@MeeMee1000ify that is so true.
LOL. I noticed that and CTFU!
simply because eight people agree with you, you believe that gives your "reasoning" any sort of merit? and because they understood it, that makes it logical? i read your post a number of times and nowhere did you explain how their behaviors were derivative of their biracial backgrounds or choices in partner. what you (and those 8 people) don't understand is that MOST behavior is a product of one's environment which entails things like socioeconomic status and educational backgrounds of parents.
You should have gone to San Francisco with her and you two would have lived happily ever after. The SF Bay area although its expensive to live there is very open minded and much less racist than in Texas!
