The scene where they were sitting on the floor together talking, seemed like a parallel to the original Shell 🐚 conversation. Their expressions and their hushed soft voices, were so alike to the original couple…very curious as to where this story is going Wes!

I love your guys stories! As a non-Asian, who lived in Hawaii for many years, with many Asian friends, I love seeing Asians being depicted not as stereotypes but as real people. It's so easy to like and relate to the characters. The writing, the acting, the characters and the videography are so good in this story as in all of your work. Wong Fu just keeps getting better! I'm thoroughly enjoying this, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming installments.

Oh man.....next episode is gonna break my heart. I can already feel it.
I don't know why, but Shell kind of reminds me of Shelter from Porter Robinson & Madeon. When I first saw Shelter official song 5 years ago that it was released, the back story was so good and sad at the same time. It was about this girl's dad that has been researching for a way to create a shuttle to launch both himself and her daughter into space because the planet earth was dying. But the dad was running out of time due to his own sickness, so he only had enough time to create one shuttle to send his daughter into space as the last human alive. The dad eventually did succeed in sending her daughter into space safely, but she just drifts aimlessly as the last human into space as earth exploded. At the same time, the daughter has these tubes connected to her body on her back so she can connect and live in a virtual world, because reality is so painful and cruel and lonely, especially if she's the only person alive just drifting in space endlessly. That song is about the dad giving his daughter "shelter" and watching over her even after he's gone. The daughter is expressing her gratitude and happiness when she's older that she would be silent and give shelter beside her dad like her dad has done for her all these years.
It's going too smooth... I'm worried the next episode will be heartbreaking.

Well. It's pretty clear that the Dad will have another paranoid episode and that the daughter will ask what is happening, and then she will find out that it happened once before and nobody told her about it, even when she directly asked about it. And then she will be very angry. So, heartbreak makes perfect sense.
