- Huge thanks to AWR for making a great product. Not sponsored at all, would be nice if I was though! They are also right the bushings do loosen up a bit around 500-600 miles and the vibration dies down a good amount. Over all very happy with the purcahce and the install was fairly easy.
My guy putting all his trust in those plastic ramps with no jackstands or tires to save you from getting crushed. You brave for that 😂
Yeahhhhhh when I was under there with the RMM out and the motor was rocking I was looking around like … I’m in danger😅 definitely won’t be doing that anymore
Getting ready to put in a COBB
The background music is so good!!
I had to change mine just at 45.000 not good enough Ford rear mount change as well to mountune (yes it does look like that) 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
A lot off people that do their rear mount say it's weird at first hear some noies but it brakes in after a couple of miles and it's fine, don't know anyone that had to do the front mounts so not sure what to say please keep us updated.👍
The vibration and rattling has gone down a lot one I hit the 600 mile mark!! Still feels amazing, and not hearing as many noises anymote
Well that's not good to find out your motor mount has shat itself. Good excuse to upgrade it to something better. Upgraded my rear motormount to the mountune version, still rocking my stock driverside and passengerside motormount. Am planning to change out the passengerside motormount for a new oem one -before it gets destroyed- and at that time also put in some powerflex bushings for good measure. Thanks for the video, it will help me out when I will be upgrading my motormount. Please say hi to the family and give the dog an extra cuddle. Greetings from the Netherlands, #TrueOG
Much love for all the support Thijs and thank you for the comments!
I have the 2018 ST 4,000 miles 3 oil changes just dis mine Amsoil getting ready to install cold air intake Injen, Radium aluminum PVC plate get rid of that plastic garbage and then install the Radium PVC catch can and then I will put it on a proper lift and install my MBRP off road down pipe which they dont make any more, new MBRP stainless exhaust full 3" which I modified a little and Cobb motor mount at the same time a lot easier if I pull the exhaust then the down pipe and then the motor mount on a real car lift so I can stand up and see whats going on and then put in motor mount, then down pipe and then exhaust all in one shot and add a new tune to my cobb acess port. 😊
I have the awr mounts as well and my motor makes the same noise you where hearing at the end of the video it’s normal I believe it’s just a stiffer mount so you hear it more. Also as you drive it more the mounts will break in some and vibrate a bit less.
I did notice that how literally around 600 miles things started vibrating less
With cars that are very low to the ground, it's much easier to use a jack and jackstands. It takes me less than 5 minutes to raise my ST to change the oil or whatever. Plus, you can adjust the height to fit your body (lol)
Yeahhhh I’ve been noticing that actually😂
@Michael_Carroll lol! Get a low profile jack from Harbor Freight. Makes life much easier
WOW I have never heard of anyone blowing out or having to change thier passenger and driver front mount must have been a defective part that 🦨 every one hust does the rear mount.
Yeah I mean I have 96,000 miles on the car now not sure if it was wear and tear or what
@@Michael_Carroll you can get a lot of miles out of a car the motor Mont should not blow up but you have moded the car and put some torc on the motor mounts so I guess it possible. Looks good for the mileage.
How much were the front motor mounts and were did you order them from.
The passenger motor mount runs for $200 and the Trans mount runs for $220 from AWR.
I bought all the mounts in a bundle so you save some money that way… it was 535 for all 3 mounts
What year is the ST again.
Mine is a 2016 ST1
SENT THAT OLD DESTRIED MOUNT TO FORD THATS BS.
I have 90k miles on the focus I feel like they’ll say it worked long enough😂
