I used to work this ride occasionally when I was younger, way before they updated it. It was always super fun working inside, there were spots you could stand where most people wouldn’t see you, but it would freak out the ones that did
Wow! I haven’t been to Lagoon for 6 years and they’ve really overhauled this ride and it looks amazing! I always liked it’s old school low budget feel but this is freaking cool!
It was really cool to see the ghost up in the air. My local park, Canobie Lake Park once had a cool Tracy Dark Ride called “The Swamp” with a ghost that would fly right in your face with a fan in the back of it to make his clothes flutter. Ah, the great memories of days long past…
I'm so surprised and delighted to find that this ride still exists! Thank you so much for documenting it so nicely. I feel transported back to my summertime self as a child and young adult.
Great camera work! This ride and (its updates) really shows what you can do with creativity and ingenuity in design. They got a lot out of the space and budget that they are working with.
I went to lagoon a few weeks ago, and i rode this with my friends and all we did was keep our eyes closed. Although i did open my eyes for the ghost jumpscare. Why did i pick that time to open my eyes 😢
I remember I was at the front of the line for this ride but I got scared last minute and attempted to escape by climbing over the wall by the vulture haha
Alright now that I've seen the POV. I think I'm ready to ride it. 😂 I love horror things but I'm the one to bring if you want to be entertained watching someone else ride the ride. 😅
When I rode this the ride closed down not when we were in it but me and my sister where just waiting there like 🙄 is it gonna start but then they fixed it and we got to go on it. But like that ride never usually breaks down so I promise it most likely won’t happen!
Next they need to update the other dark ride, Dracula’s Castle. Many of the gags in there don’t work anymore and not much of it has to do with Dracula anymore. Maybe they could update it and call it something like Classic Castle of Horrors.
I hate how kid friendly it is now. I remember it was terrifying when I was a kid. That's not just because I was a kid either. It was much cooler and elaborate.

I used to work at Lagoon so it's nice to see the refurb. That front mural has always been fascinating and creepy and absolutely bonkers.

Hmm. I worked as a ride operator on Terroride back in '96. One of my favorite hiding spots was behind the fake buildings next to King Kong.
I’m so glad they restored the mural. That was a source of horrified wonder when I was tiny.

Was there this month. Sadly, the ride broke down and a park employee had to push the car the last half of the ride with the lights on.
this is a classic, been riding it for as long as i can remembered and at 16 i still get scared at the train horn 😪

i love a good adrenaline rush but i do so bad with horror. my first time on this ride i literally cried when one of the props dropped down 😭
