Great list man.
Have not watched yet, Knives Out, Ford V Ferrari, Fighting With my Family, Ad Astra, Toy Story 4, Doctor Sleep, or Dolemite is my name, but I love everything else on your list. Midway is so underrated! I cannot belive the “meh” response it got from critics, even if is is not a perfect film it is still really well executed and for a Roland Emmerich film that says a lot. While I still prefer Bohemian Rhapsody, I loved the tortured story of Elton John and loved the musical aspect of it all, especially at the end. Joker, was brilliant and I thought it was a great standalone DC film, we need more standalone comic book films. Far From Home shocked me with how good it was since it felt like a better version of Homecoming with more stakes.
My favorite is probably Joker and I literally just watched it. That’s how good it is.
In my opinion man your the best movie critic there ever could be! Your the only critic whose actually introduced me to so many kick-ass movies such as upgrade and summer of 84! Keep up the good work and I love your Blu Ray hauls to man!!
Yess finally someone recognising how good Dragged across concrete is
Very Very Very good film.
It was really good. But man if I didn't have trouble getting through it. That movie is the definition of a Slow Burn.
Joker is my favorite of 2019, absolute masterpiece in my opinion.
Daniel Hammond I agree
Daniel Hammond sorry..I think joker is super overrated
Joker Is Truly The Best 2019/ Decade Film of All Time Great Film.
@@StraightEdgeKnight19 You don't think Alita is overated
100%

Dolemite is My Name was phenomenal. Eddie Murphy was phenomenal. He and Adam Driver in Marriage Story were robbed by Phoenix.
Great list and explanations as always. Will have to check some out. So happy Dragged Across Concrete. Was such an interesting movie! That robbery scene blew my mind!
This quickly became my favourite channel on UA-cam maybe 2 years or so back and it hasn't faltered. Thats rare to find on UA-cam. Disagreed with a few of these but I keep coming back!!!
Thanks man
I was happy to see Glass on here! It was enjoyable! No it wasn’t as great as it could’ve been but it was good!
I really liked the movie except I thought the ending could have been better
Looking back, seeing Endgame with a crowd will be one of my favorite memories.
Same here
Ahhh a bedtime story 😂 looking forward to your opinions as always !
Great list Cody love that you give your honest real opinions never change who you are for others your kick ass
you summed up my thoughts on Glass exactly
Great list Cody, probably the best list I've seen on UA-cam so far👍👍

Hey Cody, I'm new to your page , but been watching alot of your videos, I agree with alot of your reviews (not all, but that's ok) and like the reviews for those I haven't seen and I'll be checking those out.
Child’s play is my top 5 of this year
3: Us
2: Knives Out
1: Joker
Finally, someone who agrees with my number one. Endgame is a masterpiece
Brandon Ortiz same here brother
I'm relatively new to your channel and was wondering if you have a top 10 list (or any variation of) of your best in theater experiences? Hearing you talk about Endgame here and more recently Terrifier 2, it would definitely be an interesting video!
I knew you would show love to chucky...Hell yeah, so what it's #10, at least it made the list. Great ranking man, and loved El Camino, can't wait for Season 5 of Better Call Saul in Feb.✌
I meant to see Dragged Across Concrete for quite some time. I loved the director's two previous movies, I will check it out.
Yes!! Love that you have Dark Fate in your Top 10.
Personally for me uncut gems was my favorite one 2019.
Mine too. The dialogue in that movie is so realistic
Battle Rifle agree the dialogue was fantastic like so much money on the line each conversation that no one lets anyone finish a sentence
It was so relatable to anyone who likes to gamble and has had debt issues. Raw.
Top ten for sure. Electrifying to watch.
Top Comic and Horror movies of the decade? Damn, Cody is going all out! 👍
When do you think you’ll release your anticipated list.
Good picks by the way !!
Thanks for the mention of The Perfection. Never heard of it, so I watched it last night and it is a pretty decent movie.
My favorites were Doctor Sleep, The Peanut Butter Falcon, End Game and Dark Fate
Great list Cody!👍 Endgame was awesome! It was the best theater experience for me this year. It had some emotional, jaw dropping and awesome moments. It's not often when I go to the theater to watch a movie and the audience gives an applaus. I Just bought the movie in 3D.👌 So happy to see that Child's play made the list too.👍
I'm glad dark fate was on this list I also really liked it I'm glad me and you we have the same opinion about dark fate. I know joker is not in the dceu but what number do you put it on your ranking of the dceu. And where's your new off the shelve
Happy New Year my friend. I've been watching your reviews and definitely awesome as always. I just haven't a chance to comment on them but I wanted to say that I had a change of heart with Terminator dark fate. I know it's a shock. I mentioned this on Sean's video as well but I still think they could have went a different direction with John and there's definitely weaknesses that could have been better of course, but my current opinion, it's a worthy sequel. Lol sorry for wasting your time and everybody's time with the negativity but you're right. Had to watch it a few times. Thank you for that. I still prefer just T1 and T2 at the end of the day. But this isn't that bad. Endgame is my #1 favorite film of 2019.
Awesome list
Just my opinion tried to be as objective as possible 10.Midsommar
9.Joker
8.Uncut Gems
7.Marriage Story
6.Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
5.The Irishman
4.Climax
3.Parasite
2.Portrait On A Lady On Fire
1.The Lighthouse
Great list in checking out the perfection right now
Cody Leach: Have you seen Charles fan flim trailer by Tony Bizz?
Love the fact that he gave dark fate a good review
What is your opening music?
1. Parasite - I adore this movie, it's funny as hell, has good suspense in parts but also humanizes everyone. A lesser movie would had clear cut villains but these characters are either just trying to live their lives or are oblivious but never malicious.
2. Doctor Sleep - the Shining means so much to me and to see that this movie lives up was such a relief. I loved the time I spent with the three lead characters.
3 Climax - just the most visually impressive movie I saw this year.
4. Midsommar - I really felt for Pugh's character I know you said you thought it was predictable but I just thought that lead to a sense of inevitability.
5 Knives out - I like twisty mystery stuff. The cast is great and even if the big names aren't in it as much as the marketing made it seem, they all had fun moments.
I also really liked movies like the Lighthouse, Booksmart, The Lodge, Childs Play, and John Wick3.
There were three movies year where I really I really wanted to like them with great performances and visuals that just left me flat and indifferent the more I thought about them afterwards: Joker, Us and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Was very surprised how much i loved Doctor Sleep considering i have always been meh on The Shining. MacGregor's performance was so good and the exploration of his alcoholism was realistic and heartfelt. Parasite was also awesome.
The perfection was so awesome
How many new releases did you see last year? I saw 43
Great job on review, definitely will check some of these movies out my top 10
1 : Avengers Endgame
2 : Doctor Sleep
3 : John Wick Chapter 3
4 : IT Chapter 2
5 : Alita Battle Angle
6 : Norway
7 : Annabelle Comes Home
8 : Zombie Land Double Tap
9 : How To Train Your Dragon 3
10 : Aquaman
I'm a horror fan but also enjoy comic book movies especially Marvel
Dude love the shirt you have on. 😎

@Tru Horror Fanatic Reviews Joker is Definitely The Best 2019/ Decade film of All Time It's A True Classic, Really hope Joaquin Phoenix Wins Best Actor for the Oscars he did a A Great Job Playing Arthur Fleck/Joker.
Juno2000 joker is overrated.. sorry

Last Blood was exactly what most fans wanted. Stallone delivers
Joker is number one. Easily mate😏 .. But happy to see it on top 10. Great ranking brother!
Top 3
Joker
End Game
Ford Ferrari
Dude where did you get that shirt!!?
The way you like Child's Play is why I myself like (ducks) the Rob Zombie Halloween movies. Takes some elements but goes whole different way.
Long Shot is such a GOOOOOD movie. Love it
My personal favorite was Joker, with Doctor Sleep 2nd, Avengers:Endgame 3rd, liked your list though and i hope 2020 has some surprises for us thrown in there
Great list! I disagree with a couple (wasn't a fan of the new Child's Play at all), but I always appreciate your opinion. And I agree that Terminator: Dark Fate was incredible. The most underrated movie of the year!
WOAH!!! Number 4. Interesting choice there. Personally I didn’t hate it but I can’t help but view it as non canon fan fiction.
Cody you should do like a top 10 or 20 movies of the decade
Do your top 10-30 favorite movies of all time
Incredible & Amazing "GLASS" & "TERMINATOR DARK FATE" is your 2019 4th & 5th Best Movie! Different Strokes, for Different Folks! Must have been a Bad Year? Happy New Years & Good Luck, Buddy!
Ready or not is a truly great and fun movie!! It had the biggest "What the fuuuuck" moments in 2019 (where they are in dining room and the sun comes out)
Best 2019 movie list I've seen so far!
thinking of checking out Alita Battle Angel if u definitely Recommend it
Always like watching your lists and seeing what you think. Even when we dont agree I respect your opinion and your attitude of sticking to your own personal guns when it comes to films that the general public may not like!
My top ten for the year:
10- Uncut Gems- Great story gripping edge of seat film, if Sandler were better it would be even higher on my list
9- Alita: Battle Angel- Cool Sci Fi tale with excellent effects and good performances. Excellent direction from Rodriguez with some Cameron input.
8- Glass- I thought this was a great ending to the trilogy and i loved how the ending was more low key than the buildup.
7- Ford V Ferrari- Two amazing Acting Jobs feel good story. A definite movie with rewatchability.
6- Knives out- Such a damn good film has some obvious Clue and Murder by Death influences. Along with the classics by Agatha Christie and a little Murder She wrote.
5- Ready Or Not- Samara Weaving being Samara Weaving with a cool story and many very good performances. Surprising how damn good this film is.
4- End Game- I can not believe this actually met if not exceeded my expectations.
3- Rise of Skywalker- Fan service absolutely but i am a fan so i ate it up. Loved the action loved where they went with the characters.
2- Joker- Fantastic performance so damn good Kings of Comedy meets Taxi Driver.
1- Once Upon A Time In Hollywood- Leo gives one of his best performances and he is outshined by Brad Pitt thats how awesome he is in this film. Margot Robbie gives a much deeper performance then some credit her as giving and the sets are so amazing I can't explain how great they are. Felt like it was from the 60's at times Quentin at his best.
So many good Movies this year I had to give a long list of Honorable Mentions. I have watched 125 movies from 2019.
HM: Captain Marvel, Madness With the Method, Doctor Sleep, Dead Don't Die, Us, Child's Play, Book Smart, Good Boys, Shazam, Art of Self Defense, Spiderman: Far From Home, Toy Story 4, Terminator: Dark Fate, Happy Death Day 2 U, Never Grow Old
Intro Goes Hard. Lol
El Camino is actually my favorite movie of 2019
My husband and I were thinking about watching Marriage story now I’ll defs go check it out
You got to watch the Divine Fury! Really good underrated Korean horror film. Also kind of an action movie.
For me, my favourite movie this year was Shazam. I was quite frankly surprised I loved this movie. It blew me away and really surprised me even though I really dislike superheroes in general.
if they make a sequal to Joker, they should make it a twisted romantic film, and call it Mr J!
2019 was such a good year for movies
Good Vid O'Shea Jackson Jr. Is Ice Cuba's Son's Name I Didn't Know He Was In Long Shot I Like His Performance In Straight Outta Compton
No order, but some of my favorites of this year: Joker, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Shazam, Alita: Battle Angel.
Where’s the fanatic?
I love the Child’s play remake and is very unique it’s rare to find good remakes . It’s awesome I don’t care what other people says. It’s an opinion not a big deal .
My top 5 (haven't seen Endgame or ROS yet)
1.Joker
2. Childs Play
3. El Camino

@@gnc623 I may be disapointed but you have to admit that it´s a very good movie :-), liking it or not :-p
Best movie of 2019 is Glass.
Movies are about how they make you feel and the experience, not always about the directing, technical skills or whatever.
I loved Glass and the experience in the cinema was great. I was alone in the cinema. It was a beautiful day, the ovie had moments where I sat on the edge of my seat, the music was great and the end scene in the train station was so inspiring for me, I stood up and clapped hands. 9.9 out of 10.
Glass made me feel very confused and bored though. The first act was great though

Disclaimer:
Due to being in university, I sadly missed a lot of films I wanted to see like Parasite, Jojo Rabbit, The Lighthouse A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and many others. So until I see those, they won’t be on the list to my dismay. I will watch Dolemite is my Name, The Irishman and Marriage Story soon.

The best one was Doctor Sleep. Love Rose the Hat Rebecca Ferguson. Can't wait for the blue ray. Shine on!!!! Shape on!!!
YESSS... I was already hyped that Alita was so high on this list cause it really was an AMAZING MOVIE ...but when Doctor Sleep was number 2 my heart skipped a beat...Doctor Sleep was and still is literally one of the best movies I've ever seen.
I watched the perfection after you suggested and wow that movie was fucking crazy in ALL the good ways didn’t see anything coming and went in with just your suggestion and loved it thank you
Glad you liked it
Cody Leach it’s crazy every movie you’ve suggested I’ve feel in with them you really are a great movie reviewer and can’t wait to watch even more of your reviews
Rise of Skywalker top movie of 2019. Call me a lunatic or a fake Star Wars fan but I stand by it
Good for you, man.I really enjoyed it myself.I saw the "man behind the curtain" a few too many times myself but it was a good time for sure. Didn't stick with me like Endgame, Knives Out,Ford v. Ferrari,Longshot, etc. but I cried and cheered with the best of them.8/10
Jordan Sweet thanks man, I’m glad you enjoyed it too. The movie definitely doesn’t deserve the hate it has been getting
@@willlasala8356 I agree but hey,I never thought TLJ deserved the hate either. I hope the force balances out for awhile.
How many movies have you seen this year?
Hi Cody
I'm a Terminator fanatic, but was rather let down by Dark Fate. I was a huge supporter of the movie and had anticipated it's release like no other, but I have to be honest with myself as a fan of the series. Like most of the sequels that follow after T2, I thought it definitely had great ideas and elements in it, but some of the choices and executions were just bad. Doesn't mean I hated the movie, in fact I loved certain things about it such as what they did with the Rev-9. I'm just disappointed because they seemed to have all the right ingredients there for a good Terminator film, but ultimately it was just another "alternate timeline" movie for me.
Switching gears now though; if you haven't played the game Terminator Resistance, I highly recommend you check it out. It's a very short game, but the story it told was awesome and really faithful to the first 2 films. I liked it so much that I would consider it the true follow up to the movies. If the story in Dark Fate intrigued you enough to make it this high on your top 10 list, give the new Terminator game a try. If it were a movie, it might even surpass Dark Fate on any list you have. If you give it a chance, I hope you like it.
Anyways, looking forward to more reviews!
Can you do a house of wax review ??
I have a top 10 Horror Remakes list coming soon. It will be mentioned.
Doctor Sleep, The Lighthouse, Ready or Not, John Wick 3 and Glass.
Giving you thumbs up, Cody.. but man Terminator Dark Fate????
Believe it
Rise of the Skywalker is my favorite film of 2019 loved it
Man...Endgame. I don't think I will ever have an experience like that again in my lifetime. The whole MCU...the entirety of the ten years...we will NEVER see this again. This huge amount of storytelling. The hammer getting picked up by Cap. The Avengers Assemble line...all of that was amazing. 'On your left'... my theater gasped. When the first spiral showed up...the screaming was insane. They did something amazing with these movies. As for some of my favorites, definitely Knives Out. That was a lot of fun in a theater. Ready or Not was great. I also enjoyed Shazam way more than I thought I would because DC is so hit or miss.
Dragged across concrete was my most watched movie of 2019 and I have to agree cody 1. Child's play is a solid 10 spot and was a great remake and dr. Sleep was phenomenal. But endgame was by far the best movie of 2019.
Nice
10: Hobbs and Shaw
09: Doctor Sleep
08: The LightHouse
07: Glass
06: John Wick Chapter 3
05: The IrishMan
04: Toy Story 4
03: Ready or Not
02: Joker
01: Avengers Endgame
1917 , knives out , and doctor sleep were my favorites
Mine is
10. Jojo rabbit
9. Portrait of a lady on fire
8. midsommar
7. Once upon a time in Hollywood
6. Joker
5. Uncut gems
4. The Irishman
3. Marriage story
2. Parasite
1. The lighthouse
My top three are:
3. Joker
2. Avengers Endgame
1. Toy Story 4 (the Toy Story movies are my favourite films of all time).
Okay. Glad to see Endgame at number one, but the 2 best movies from 2019 (imo) are not even in the honorable mentions. Where the hell are Ford vs Ferrari (which I would put at No. 2) and Just Mercy (which I would put at No. 1)?
Knives Out put me to sleep. I kept trying over and over to get through it but I didn't make it. Oh well, to each his own.
