Also Dolby Atmos helps with audio quality and spacial audio on xbox and pc
@@odysseyelias3570 I mean the audio sounds more authentic in terms of how the developers intended but the Astro has a better mic in my opinion. G pro x isn’t bad it just doesn’t have as much bass in your voice. But the reason I like the G pro x is for comfort. Which the astros didn’t have (A10s)
I'm looking at the G Pros and the Phillips SHP9500 for gaming and also editing my videos. I plan to buy a Yeti Nano for my commentary when I live stream since the headphone/mic combo is far better quality than a headset.. Is it worth me spending that extra $30 for the X's if I'm already getting a separate mic for commentary or should I save that $30 towards the Yeti Nano? Also, what do you think about the SHP9500 compared to the G Pros. Appreciate your time and help :)
I have the Logitech G PRO gaming headset. Out of the box it looked and felt great. However, because of the shape of the cups, any head movement would create a break in the seal and diminish the sound. The second issue that I had is an issue that I've noticed with other headsets that have a similar mic design and placement. I like to play both games and music loudly. When I did, anyone who I was playing games with at the time would be able to hear every single thing that was coming out of my headset in their headset. I was told that it sounded like I was playing in front of a tv. I've had the same exact problem with my hyper x could alphas, hyper x cloud Xs and my set of corsair hs50s. I was so frustrated because I love the way the G PRO drivers sound but I felt like I couldn't use them while playing with others. That was until I found a solution that has been working out perfectly for me that addressed the two issues that I had with the headset. For the earcups I took the stock g pro cushions off and replaced them with (what are arguably the most comfortable ear cushions on the market) the cushions from my hyper x cloud alphas. They fit my ears much better now, they're very comfortable and I never have an issue with the seal breaking anymore. I replaced the stock mic with the v moda boom pro and not only does the mic sound amazing, it doesn't pick up any game audio even at high volume. Now, I absolutely love this headset. The v moda boom pro was $30 and a set of hyper x cloud alpha ear cushions from the hyper x site was $10.
I'm Rocking The G Pro x also have The G PRO 933 as well with The FiFine Microphone. Both run well but I use The PRO X more. The G 933 is now more used on mobile Laptop. I look back at your videos you produce for experience of the new hardware on the market that I just may integrate into system builds. Thanks as always
I think I bought my GSP300 after watching your video and I have never ever felt more comfortable wearing a fullsize headset. GSP300 was on sale for 75 Australian dollars the other day, bummed I didn't get to pick one up. Bought my current for 199 Aussie dollars, yes, 200 dollar. =___=|| But still, the best headset I've owned so far.
Damn! This is literally what I have been waiting for., I was about to spend 130 on a mic and 70 on headhphones, but now I don't need to. As always good video!!
For console I feel the hyper x cloud 2 is the all around champ as it’s mic quality is amazing but on pc the USB adapter it comes with changes the mic quality and makes it more robotic to counter breathing
I just got this headset based on this video. So far my opinion + more base + seems sturdy, my last pair g230 was plastic and would always break, got to my 3rd pair of g230 before I decided to upgrade + integration in g hub with Nvidia broadcast + comes with a soft bag, nice for on the go + microphone clearer than the g230, and perfect with Nvidia broadcast - short and unbraided cable, g230 had a longer braided cable, will see how it holds in time - clamps more than the g230 but at least keeps the bass in - g230 seems louder other notes: Sound like the g230 but with more bass. The cable is removable from the headset BUT, it makes a click when inserted and holds really well. The microphone has a flat surface to know which side to point to the mouth. If you wear a shirt, the microphone volume knob holder can clip to the left pocket of a shirt. I know, random. Who wears shirts.
as someone who is thinking of buying a new headset, is it still worth it? it currently goes for 60 quid on amazon. i am thinking of streaming too, whats your experience with the mic?
@@Eden-mn6rt Still worth it, very good build quality. It wont break since the headset is made of metal. And the leatherette is good quality. The sound is also good quality. And the microfone for gaming aswell.
Whenever I look this G Pro X, I see the HyperX Cloud 2. I love the Cloud 2 and sure this G Pro X will be great too. Otherwise, I love also the fact there is an additional cushions velvet with the G Pro X like with the Cloud 2. I don't understand why HyperX doesn't added a velvet cushions in the box with the Cloud Alpha, That's why I prefer the Cloud 2 than Alpha.
And for everyone who doesn't want to spend so much i would suggest taking a look at the superlux hd681 and a lavalier mic because that beats quite a lot of headsets in price-to-performance. And although you have a second cable you will also have no mic in your field of view.
Game one: as an owner, it has garbage build quality. And mine is not faulty either. It sounds pretty clean and clear but it produces a hiss. And also, the sliders broke on the first day of use. Idk. But these are cheaper and way more bang for your buck. And if you want bass, the game one is not an option. I cannot feel bass, so it makes sounds sound a lil empty accompanied by the open back.
Not sure how it compares with the Pro/Pro X, but I've been using G533's for a few months now and love them. Only gripe is the massive dongle and no bluetooth.
One of the best gaming headsets i have purchased. I am very picky when it comes to getting the best product, I personally think that this headset is worth the price tag, great sound quality for hearing the quietest footsteps and so on. Go for the Pro X.
Nice review as always , but I find it funny that you keep showing the glorious model O mouse in your video , I like that you keep what you use for gaming in your setup. Thanks to you guys I own one and I love this mouse and now it's back ordered everywhere. I need a new gaming headset but this one is a bit to low end for my taste. I will wait until fall to make a move. Keep up the good work.
How will all the eq stuff work on a console? I have a PS4 and thinking about getting these but idk if I can fully use its potential. I feel like these are more geared towards pc players😕
the single most important thing to me is comfort...problem is, most headsets either hurt by a) headband feels like it's digging into my skull, b) it's pressing on the sides of my head too hard or, c) something is too small and hurts my earlobes.
A high end gaming headset round up would be nice. You could even do a more updated comparison on if high end audiophile headsets with an add on mic are better than gaming headsets.

Coming from a pair of astro a10's they had significantly more bass which sounded very pleasing for music but was very over emphasised. Also Dolby Atmos helps with audio quality and spacial audio on xbox and pc
Im thinking of upgrading from A10s, is it worth the upgrade?
That's interesting that you were able to make a frankestined headset and it worked out well. How did it age? Planning to upgrade my AT m20x
you have tha problem with the G pro or G pro X ??? (Aksing in case you made a typo)
The fact that it has a EQ is very good. Even the cons is not good I myself will definitely buy this
Did you buy it? How is it
when you start to stretch the headset Im beginning to have anxiety attack
I'm Rocking The G Pro x also have The G PRO 933 as well with The FiFine Microphone. Both run well but I use The PRO X more. The G 933 is now more used on mobile Laptop. I look back at your videos you produce for experience of the new hardware on the market that I just may integrate into system builds. Thanks as always
For everyone that's comparing this vs the mmx300v2 can you see the $200 difference ?
I think I bought my GSP300 after watching your video and I have never ever felt more comfortable wearing a fullsize headset. GSP300 was on sale for 75 Australian dollars the other day, bummed I didn't get to pick one up. Bought my current for 199 Aussie dollars, yes, 200 dollar. =___=|| But still, the best headset I've owned so far.
Damn! This is literally what I have been waiting for., I was about to spend 130 on a mic and 70 on headhphones, but now I don't need to. As always good video!!
If you can live with the drawbacks I'd advise you to go mic and headphones. You will definetly get better audio, but lose the software stuff.
Get a studio level headphone + modmics.
Sennheiser hd 598 is one of the best for the price, get it if you can afford it
If you were planning on spending 130 for a mic this would probably disappoint you.
Cameron Keogh bro get the sennheiser pc37x from drop they are the best gaming headsets around
For console I feel the hyper x cloud 2 is the all around champ as it’s mic quality is amazing but on pc the USB adapter it comes with changes the mic quality and makes it more robotic to counter breathing
The new hyper x cloud 2 with logitech branding..
I just got this headset based on this video.
So far my opinion
+ more base
+ seems sturdy, my last pair g230 was plastic and would always break, got to my 3rd pair of g230 before I decided to upgrade
+ integration in g hub with Nvidia broadcast
+ comes with a soft bag, nice for on the go
+ microphone clearer than the g230, and perfect with Nvidia broadcast
- short and unbraided cable, g230 had a longer braided cable, will see how it holds in time
- clamps more than the g230 but at least keeps the bass in
- g230 seems louder
other notes: Sound like the g230 but with more bass.
@@octaviandobre okay good, thank you for responding and so quickly👍
The GSP300 with the dongle sounds better than all of them...
You do good work, always love videos by you guys. Keep it up!
Do a comparison between the g pro x and cloud alpha plz
^ This please, including microphone tests. Thanks
up
Just bought this today and I’m very happy with it 🥰 I just use the usb dongle but not really the blue voice software
Which is better this or HyperX Cloud Alpha?
Whenever I look this G Pro X, I see the HyperX Cloud 2. I love the Cloud 2 and sure this G Pro X will be great too. Otherwise, I love also the fact there is an additional cushions velvet with the G Pro X like with the Cloud 2. I don't understand why HyperX doesn't added a velvet cushions in the box with the Cloud Alpha, That's why I prefer the Cloud 2 than Alpha.
Logitech and HyperX had a baby
it inherited a blue mic gene
Here I am, last day of 2021 watching this. Working on changing over from razer to logitech. Thanks for the video!
The G Pro X has a really "streamy" sound that the original Pro doesn't have. I think the OG Pro mic sounds better
And for everyone who doesn't want to spend so much i would suggest taking a look at the superlux hd681 and a lavalier mic because that beats quite a lot of headsets in price-to-performance. And although you have a second cable you will also have no mic in your field of view.
thanks good work. can you please do Logitech G PRO X vs Sennheiser game one
Love these videos, please could you do a video on the logitech g pro x vs the hyperx cloud alpha really need help deciding between the two XD
Very nice now Logitech needs to make a wireless version now that would be awesome as I am in the market for a wireless headset. :)
Not sure how it compares with the Pro/Pro X, but I've been using G533's for a few months now and love them. Only gripe is the massive dongle and no bluetooth.
Arctic 9 are god tier
One of the best gaming headsets i have purchased. I am very picky when it comes to getting the best product, I personally think that this headset is worth the price tag, great sound quality for hearing the quietest footsteps and so on. Go for the Pro X.
Are you surround sound with them or just stereo?
GreatSc0tt as far as i can remember they are beautiful with surround sound but it depends on the games audio itself
you look like Star Lord wtf
He is chris pratt, did you not know that? Btw chris pratt is the actor for star lord
Nah, he looks more like the dude from jurassic park...
Russian Star Lord
Nooo he looks like the guy from guardians of the galaxy
Nah he looks like spongebob
Nice review as always , but I find it funny that you keep showing the glorious model O mouse in your video , I like that you keep what you use for gaming in your setup. Thanks to you guys I own one and I love this mouse and now it's back ordered everywhere. I need a new gaming headset but this one is a bit to low end for my taste. I will wait until fall to make a move. Keep up the good work.
Sound like you're the pilot on a plane speaking 6:38
the mic quality is surprising good
How will all the eq stuff work on a console? I have a PS4 and thinking about getting these but idk if I can fully use its potential. I feel like these are more geared towards pc players😕
That’s because they are.
the single most important thing to me is comfort...problem is, most headsets either hurt by a) headband feels like it's digging into my skull, b) it's pressing on the sides of my head too hard or, c) something is too small and hurts my earlobes.
Logitech: Hi hyper x can I copy your homework
Hyper x : yea but change it a little bit
Abdulrahman Hawarneh hyper x:just copy half me half dt990
@@itzlopy739 lol no. Theyre based on takstar headphones
Abdulrahman Hawarneh yeah they made it better
A high end gaming headset round up would be nice. You could even do a more updated comparison on if high end audiophile headsets with an add on mic are better than gaming headsets.
*watches the video and realizes that the headset is good*
*checks price*
I see this is an absolute win!
Give me all that in a wireless version and I'll be impressed. Wired headphones are so 2005.
Love the design thou.
Any decent headphones with a removable 3.5mm jack and a V Moda Boompro is still the best setup though.
Hope u read this .. is the g pro mic can use as external mic for smartphone ? Hope someone answer me .. need that mic badly for smartphone video recording ..
Cooler master mh751 has the best mic under 100$ + its the most comfortable headset
And it sounds decent for its price tag
Not really...
@@mn-mq6ml i have it rn
And i used g pro , cloud 2 , alpha , gsp 300 , game one
And i can say mh751 has the best mic and by far its the most comfortable one
For something in the range of $100 more or less, the Razer Kraken 7.1 V2's mic is the BEST in terms of clarity. I own it, and I love it.
Couldn't agree more friend. And I have tried many, many headsets (some three times the price). The Mh752 (I went for the USB dongle) smokes them all.
Im on the fence between these and the Sennheiser gsp 300's. They both seem like great sets, this seems a little more customizable though, and I do like the idea of being able to hear yourself speak through the headset, I don't like not being able to hear myself speak.
I have a g933 right now and it has some connection issues so I’m looking to get a new headset, would you recommend this or the hyperX Cloud revolver S
I would recommend the coolermaster mh751 + soundblaster omni
Get a REAL headset and not gaming
Dkgsa1212 any suggestions? I don’t need a mic, or any rgb, preferably black, i just want something with great sound quality and comfort for under $120, I’ve heard the sennheiser PC37X or whatever can do both
@@elijahtingler8044 Sennheiser HD 280 pro, some bass boost and they are perfect. You should have a dac/amp or a good soundcard tho
The g pro x sounds worse than the g933 imo returned it and getting a gsp 600 from sennheiser
Nice step up ... mic sounds very good I think, I'm happy user of Cloud Alpha + MSI Nahimic sound :)
somehow I feel like the GSP300 with that blue voice tweak sounds the best
You never disappoint with your intros
Damnit, bought the G PRO about 2 weeks ago and now a new one :(
Hey HardwareCanucks. Just bumped into your Channel. Truly loving it. 😉. You’ve earned a Subscriber. Keep up the good work man!
Question. I’ve had my Logitech G933 since they came out on 2015. I’m looking for an upgrade. What do you recommend. These caught my eye. Sound quality is more of an importance then mic quality. Specially after me having the g933.
Hopefully you get to see this.
MiC TEST 5:50 YOU WELCOME :)

Yes i should welcome
It’s not as good as I expected
GLASSES! Most important thing for us old blind Ducks. Between Haurjie and your reviews, I am considering one of these or Lenovo Legion and Cooler Master MH670--leaning toward one of these over Logitech. But I hope whatever I get helps drown out NOISY NEIGHBORS!
I think the overall mic quality sounded better without any of your preset turned on. It sounded better in default for me.
pretty nice software for the blue integration a built in sound gate is pretty nice and a much better way to isolate noise then normal noise suppression
Is it just me or did they just steal almost every design point from HyperX Cloud?
Hey Dimitri! Could you provide some advice? I have an old Corsair HS50 that needs replacing and had the doubt of getting the Logitech G Pro X (wired) or the Corsair HS70 Bluetooth. What are your thoughts? I use the headphones daily at the office for music or online meetings & presentations, and at home for console online gaming. Your review here is very informative but I would like to know what you think about the HS70 BT in regards to sound, mic and connectivity vs. the G Pro X (wired). Thanks! BTW keep up the good work!
All that is left is to make a wireless version with this design.
wireless sucks there's no point in it
What mouse are you using? It is very nice!
Looks similar to the Finalmouse, but I can't quite tell what model it is.
YOUFORIA I believe it’s the Glorious Model O or Model D

The original G Pro with the Blue audio dongle sounds better 8:15
These editings are amazing!
When did chris pratt started a review channel?
Dimitri never disappoints in the B rolls!
compare it with the HyperX Cloud 2 or the alpha
Imo the XPG EMIX H30 + Solo F30 has also an awesome microphone. Did you have the opportunity to test it?
The mic sounds noticeable worse than the mic of my Lioncast LX55. And that's like almost half the price.
try the cloud 2 mic its trash you will like it
@@Grombus Why should I like it if it's trash?
Check out the mic quality of the Lioncast LX55 non-USB.
For round about 50€ this thing is insane.
Greetings from germany.
I had an studio mic (t.bone sc440) and switched to the Lioncast LX50, the microphone quality is insane, I even bought an soundcard so it got even better. People on Discord and Teamspeak 3 told me the Lioncast sounds waaaay better. The only downside is the Audio Quality what I can hear, the headset is not as 'clear' as others may are. That's why, I'm planning to buy this Logitech G pro x.
