I always thought it was such BS the consequence for checking on Booster, I went down to check on Booster because I was like "oh no I care about the NPCs" yet that kills him and prevents you from saving the most important NPC in the game.

+Ev an (0rangefever) I was so mad when I found out I could have actcually saved her if I hadn't accepted the damn jetpack and found this random towrope... Since I found out I replayed the WHOLE game at least 5 times. 1 time where I just saved her from drowning only to find out I also had to place her on the goddamn bed. The second time to drain her with the random note about draining robots and THEN LEAVING her in the bed, thinking it would be better not to force her to come with me... wrong choice again, god damn it. Then the last 3 runs where I managed to save her because I read about the Ma Pignon and everything because I was so done with not spiling myself. The only difference in the last 3 runs was that I once used the Spur, once the Snake and once without both. I could only beat Ballos with the good old Spur though...
SmilePlease after I saw her on the other side of the blast door, I actually stopped playing given how sad I was , when I came back , again and again I would see her die , reload the game and try other things , talking to different people I even thought that not fighting Balrog at the beginning of the game had something to do with it , it wasn't until at friend told me that you could actually save her that I looked it up , I would have never found out how to myself. And boy was I glad to see the rest of the game , even though I had a really hard time with Hell . The one time I did it was with the spur .
You can actually save her, but it's EXTREMELY hard, it requieres to unlock de 3rd ending and that means having to start again to don't get certain items.
I felt the worst chills I had ever felt in my life once I heard this song play after the silence of Curly's death. It was as if my heart turned to ice.

I felt like this song was the calm before storm, after reaching within the depths of the labyrinth you have some time to rest and think about your journey but there is something nagging quote, telling quote and curly that they're gonna be in real trouble soon.

This takes me back to the first time I played Cave Story. I just bought my first 3DS at the age of 13 for my birthday. I got CS and began plplaying. Then it came to this fight. I fought hard and was eventually successful. However I couldn't predict what came next. The flooding and the text box came up. I didn't know what happened to Curly. But I soon came to the realization. She died. I beat the game and went back through the harder difficulty and I saved her. I wasn't making the same mistake twice.
That feel when you finally beat by far the hardest boss yet, Monster X, then fought your way down here and got the transmission from those robots and realized that Monster X had been -nothing- compared to what lay in the darkness of this chamber.

I was switching between English and Japanese for my entire play though (I can’t reed Japanese but I basically know what everyone is saying due to playing the game so much on the switch) and I just so happened to be playing in Japanese when I talked to Curly in the Plantation. I swear I talked to her once, but I don’t remember getting the iron bond at all. So maybe you have to talk to her twice. Idk all I know is that I got to the end and couldn’t open the door and checked my inventory.
Cave Story is an all time great that has been with me for well over a decade. Finding out you could save Curly had me trying to do just that, and if I got it wrong, I would start over until I got it right. It took me 4 years, but I eventually saved her, beat Ballos and got the best ending. This game is a masterpiece, and very much so to this day.

I never thought you could save Curly originally playing the game. Then when I heard of a better ending I decided to take the time and actually save Curly. After doing so I continued through the game, seeming to follow the good ending route... I went in that one room full of speeding currents. It was pretty difficult but I managed to get to that area with the bed in it, left Curly there, and went back out to the currents while she was still out. I, uh...was kind of at a loss on where to go, and I'm pretty sure I accidentally left Curly for dead in a much worse way. No idea how to get on the good route AND stay on it. It's too damn hard for me.
After putting Curly on the bed you need to check the computer and bookshelf to learn how to remove the water from Curly. She'll briefly wake up them fall asleep again. After this YOU MUST take her with you again. Leaving her in the house will softlock you out of seeing her again. Continue as normal until you beat the boss of the waterways, where Curly is separated you and you play as normal until you reach the plantation. There I'm the bottom right corner you'll find Curly who has amnesia. You must find the blue mushroom (you must have saved booster to get to the blue mushroom's area above the cemetery in mimiga village) and beat the battle there. Pick up the blue mushroom and give it to Curly and She'll have her memories back and give you a bracelet! Congrats you saved Curly! Hope this small guide helps and good luck!

I've never managed to beat the Normal route's final boss (which feels more like a final boss _rush)_ and the farthest i got was lasting three seconds with that Core thing, whatever it's called. So once i get back to playing Cave Story, I should look up a weapon and strategy guide for the final bosses. Hopes on me not having to go back through the Last Cave to change weapons :")
@@Detective.Horonigai Good luck! I haven't played in a while but i believe the upgraded polar star (you need to not trade out your starter weapon then go to back to the gunsmith in the first cave to get it) and the nemesis are some of recommended weapons for the good ending.

I usually grab the machine gun so I can save and not talk to professor booster and also dont go talk to professor booster because if you do that disables you from saving curly and also when you get into room with the core dont talk to curly and go down to where there is a sparkling thing in the water that's where the tow rope is

@@Detective.Horonigai Good luck! I haven't played in a while but i believe the upgraded polar star (you need to not trade out your starter weapon then go to back to the gunsmith in the first cave to get it) and the nemesis are some of recommended weapons for the good ending.

To be fair, to avoid booster you really had to time your jump correctly..
Or you can use Lv 3 machine gun as a booster.

I usually grab the machine gun so I can save and not talk to professor booster and also dont go talk to professor booster because if you do that disables you from saving curly and also when you get into room with the core dont talk to curly and go down to where there is a sparkling thing in the water that's where the tow rope is
You can make the jump without the machine gun

So, can any one tell me who the hell is Pokehidden? I just wanted to listen to cave story music.
Pokehidden is a guy who created a My Little Pony Porn flash game called "Banned From Equestria". In this game you play a red pony guy and you have 3 days in game to have sex with many ponies as possible. The game has Day and Night system. And this track from Cave Story plays at the night.
