  • I've really enjoyed using this Alinco DJ-VX50 for the last week. I thought the receive audio sounds great. I decided to test the transmit audio. So I grabbed the infamous UV5R and then my Anytone 878 just for the heck of it. Not a scientific test but listen in and see what you think. There is a large price gap on these radios. So the results might surprise you. Let me know what you think in the comments below! Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe if you like the content. Take care and God bless.

    Great stuff.
It would be interesting to compare the audio that comes out of the speaker.
    Thanks for sharing.

I'll see what I can do on that. That's definitely an important part I agree.

Did you do a receiver comparison?

I've been wanting to get a super cheap HT (because I don't have a radio right now, and money is tight), so I was going to do a GT-5R, but was concerned because of all the negative complaints from hams. So I was looking at that Alinco (which is why I am here because I wanted to see the test comparison) which is about 3 to 4 times the price as the GT-5R. Now I'm wondering if it's really worth it for me to do the Alinco and spend the extra money. I hear usability of the Baofengs is not a nice though.

Personally I would buy an Alinco over the Baofeng anyday if you can afford it. So all HT's are under powered and really limited in performance. I don't care which one it is. I personally think that you need and HT, a mobile and a base set up to be adequate. But just my opinion I think getting the best equipment you can afford is always the way to go. Thanks for watching.

@@northmanproject4007 I want to have a quality walkie, with good sound, good s-meter and good sensitivity. Are there differences between both? I have a Quansheng TGuv2 plus and it has very good sensitivity and TX, but I don't know, I want to buy a quality and reliable walkie. I'm having a hard time deciding between these two "although the Alinco catches my attention more, because of the air band and the top wheel, hehe." greetings and thanks!. Help me decide, please, and tell me something about them🙏

@@SuperAbel17 I must have missed a question somewhere earlier. I think the alinco is probably a better option. It's waterproof, it has airband, weather, excellent audio send and receive. Both are Great radios you really can't go wrong with either one but I think for what the alinco has to offer it's probably a little better deal. Was there something else specific you were wondering about?

@@SuperAbel17 I have both the alinco and the yaesu I think the elenco is probably a little bit better choice but be prepared to purchase the RT systems programming software if you want to put in are band channels to scan. It's about $50 for the software and cable
