Melee damage soloist is my new favorite path in the game. I call him "just hit stuff" jester. I press solo turn 1 then spam fade and wit+ with a sprinkling of harvest when needed. Simple and effective.
Just a note at the end: Mezzo bleeding on allies is not affected by A Favorite Toy and I don't think it'll be affected by Severed Finger's Duration Received debuff.
I started having a much better time with Jester once I realized that stress heal could be left out, a third utility or a second attack gives him so many more options.
Lost a pd on deaths door to a bleed last night. Had finished 3 confessions with her. I turned the game off... dismes can hit deaths door 40 times with 3 dots and poor pd dies first roll. Rough
It happens. One of the main reasons why dots on deaths door are so dangerous. If someone is low health and has a dot heal them if you can. Sometimes it’s just not worth the risk of letting stay low on health.
@@Samhain23 i thought for sure he would survive his first dB roll. That pd killed death twice the shambler librarian and the general. Only to fall on the general in the first zone. My mistake bringing her back there too soon. Iv lost characters on trying to get my trophy too soon before.
@ElevenDollarCheese junia is great on a fire team. Fire fighters i think it's called. Give it a shot. Iv hit in the upper 50s with backsdraft. Then again with pd cause of death. It's so awesome. That'll teach those bosses to bring adds. Have any team builds you enjoy the most? Iv been asking around for fun compositions. Another is bannerret crusader nightsworn grave robber antagonist duelist and rogue highwaymen. Everyone lunges first turn and you grab the crocodile pet which nets you 3% increase in damage on every move. Longer fights you can easily get up to 50% bonus damage in addition to trinkets. Duelist dodge tanks. Dance like you mean it. The crits and crusader will keep stress down. Plus most battles you can kill 3rd enemy in first turn. It's my favorite. Doesn't have a cool name though. I'd pick "fancy footwork" if I could.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read the Dodge component of Busker's Haul differently. My understanding is that it gives Dodge to any hero he targets, not (necessarily) himself. This makes it more powerful on Virtuoso since he's using lots of support songs and the new Encore targets all of his allies (you have about a 50% chance of getting at least one additional Dodge token across a full team per use). So even though each normal song (Inspiring Tune, Battle Ballad, and Play Out) only gives an ally a 10% chance to dodge an attack, if that's all he's doing and he's hitting Encore, there can be some respectable (albeit very unreliable) value. Also it lets all non-Wanderer Battle Ballads push an ally forward 2 instead of just 1. Does that make it worth a trinket slot? Probably not late-game, but it's better than nothing.
My favorite way to run jester right now after playing for just a couple weeks is PD and jester dancing back and forth in the back, and Highway and Leper dancing in the front.
I tried hat today actually, ran Internezzo, Banneret, Rogue and Bulwark. Use play out on turn 1 on MAA, also got the Seamen's boots from the shroud and just spam hold the line, works well with hatchling crocodilian
Working on the Grand Slam achievement with a wonky team of Alchemist PD, New Soloist Jester, Deadeye GR, and Maniac Flagellant. 4/5 Done just need act 2, wish me luck! Going to be hard to hit the lungs, not get bodied, and have my dreams shattered yet again! Edit: We did it. EZ
I questioned why intermezzo’s finale has the double damage and not the soloist… but then I imagined that 2 finales in a row with them doing double damage is too busted lmao
New strategy. Run the blood producer pet. Give blood to intermezzo jester. Set up double DMG finale. Get vuln on target prior. Slam the blood. Finale for 100+ DMG. Win game.
So I just discovered this game and while im struggling liking the stagecoach idea I do really enjoy the first game- question any chance for new content on the older game? Right now i have a roster of low lvl characters and it seems on the map screen there’s no way to rerun earlier stages of the ruins as an example?
I love this game and im new to it aswell but i struggle in act 2 ( the one after the first boss) and I have almost all candles for my most of the roster does anyone have any tips or wanna hop in a party chat and give me advice ?
hi i finished this game- despair only a few times once recently once last year. was getting back into it, but already feeling burn out. a few times i took risks or made a simple mistake and it resulted in a party wipe. its pretty crushing as i feel this game needs you to plan methodically if you try to rush back in you probably regret it. as a result... questioning if i want to bother maybe no... like its pretty demanding no joke. sigh
The jester rework really made all the glue eaters come out of the wood work huh? I know people will complain about virtually anything but crying that you don’t have your broken path is so pathetic lmao

Yea man, Jester is just so team dependant, you need specific teams to spam razor's wit and fade to black. "You need to consider who he is buffing" a: every team has a danage dealer more or less (Hellion, Lepar, highwayman) unless you are doing dot, b: the jester can just spam combo even if you dont have a valid target for ballad or play out. I get you dislike the jester since the first game but Jesus dude, youre reaching so hard you might snap

Virtuoso seems like the worst now? With strong relationships and late game trinkets it's really easy to have lots of positive tokens at all times.
Good relationships are pretty easy to get on normal torch but a crapshoot on a ton of Infernal flames
