Secret Tunnel
I’m thinking it would be cool to combine the Princess Yue theme, it’s the one when the soot falls in the North- prompting the fire nations attack on the moon spirit, with Winter-Spring summer and fall. The latter was used before so maybe that would be a nice intro or something of the like.

Extended and complete epic rearrangement of "Secret Tunnel"
My mother loved the Airbender series. Especially Iroh’s song. I had left to join the Army in the winter of 2020. She quoted him and said “Come back home when you can soldier.” She hugged me, and I didn’t think much of it at the time.
She passed away some months later, she never got to see me in my uniform. But this song makes me think of her. And I can almost see the smile on her face as if coming back home.
I salute you, sir.

Hearing those chords in the new series in that one part and I almost lost it.
This song, with or without lyrics, never fails to make me start crying. I don't know if you've seen the live action version, but I feel it was very respectful towards Mako, the first Iroh, that they didn't have a version with singing in it. It still made me cry like a maniac.

What makes this song even more heartbreaking than what the story provides is the fact that this was allegedly from Mako’s(Iroh Va) last recording before he passed. The emotion in Iroh’s voice was fantastic with both actors in every season but this song in particular had such a haunting quality.
It wasn't his last recording. Stop spreading this untruth.

Mako Iwamatsu passed away in July 2006, during the airing of ATLA Season 2, and the episode Tales of Ba Sing Se aired two months later. They dedicated the “Tale of Iroh” segment to Mako, hence why they added that card at the end. He had already finished recording his voice lines for Season 2 before he passed away.
Greg Baldwin, the VA for Iroh following Mako, refuses to sing Leaves from the Vine. It’s the only fan request he always denies, out of respect for Mako.
Now this is art. Worthy of the original.
I'm so glad that this was just instrumental, any vocal of this song would be disrespectful to Mako.
Just like anyone who doesn't know the real-life history of Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya in The Princes Bride) using his not-as-famous words "I want my Father Back You Son of a B!!t@#"
Mandy channeled all of his rage about his father's death from cancer into that line.
I'm gonna listen to this when I pack my stuff and drive off with my bike to the sunset. Just entering a peaceful quiet life away from all the loud noises and annoying bureaucracy. Can't wait for this day to come...

Greg Baldwin, who voiced Iroh following Mako’s passing after ATLA Season 2, refuses to sing Leaves from the Vine out of respect for Mako. It’s the only fan request he will always deny. I would imagine it’ll be the same for the live action too.
