In the beginning, I thought I wasn't able to understand or follow the whole podcast, but for my surprise, I could follow all the explanations and understand the podcast. For that, I send you all my affection and gratitude from Spaon. 🎉😊
Hi Gideon, Once again, thumbs up-great episode! I couldn’t agree more! For me, coziness is also so much more than "just" a movie. It’s the whole package-the atmosphere, the sweet and wonderful memories associated with these films, which we can relive when watching them again, immersing ourselves in a perfect world, even if just for a few hours. As another listener also mentioned, movies from the ’80s and ’90s feel much cozier to me than those of today-maybe because they remind me of my childhood, a time when life felt so much easier. As for my all-time cozy movie, it’s The Body (it might sound a bit odd, but I can’t help it) by Stephen King, because I used to always watch it with my twin sister. Also, ALF holds a special place in my heart because my sister and I actually learned German while watching it. Revisiting these movies and the series now alone always pulls at my heartstrings, but the memories associated with them are probably the most precious treasures I have. However, the epitome of coziness for me is spending time with my parents, watching a nice movie, enjoying some indulgent cookies, and having my kitty purring on my lap. Thank you so much for your work-keep it up and stay healthy!
Omg, Teacher Gideon! I am sorry that you and your wife came down with bad cold! I also caught cold recently and it can feel really down in the dumps! Hope you and your wife gets better! I am your regular watcher from across the world and lover of the English language! Take care and get well soon, cheers!
This episode is pretty cozy🤗 familiarity, warmth and nostalgia these are the three whales of a cozy movie to me😄 On Christmas holiday I love to rewatch Harry Potter and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I also love Hearts of three. It's a Russian adventure movie from '90s based on Jack London's novel. I've rewatched it so many times that now we often use a lot of lines from the movie in our daily conversations among my family❤️ And I find movies from '80s and '90s much Cozier than nowadays ones probably because of a slower pace and that special coluor of the film. Hope your wife will get well soon it would be great to see her on the podcast again.
Hello Gideon, I love your lessons. This cosy one I enjoyed a lot. My cosy film is Shrek. I feel comforted by its message, that one doesn't be perfect to be loved.😊
Hello dear! I'm on the same boat as this is the Advent of autumn and flu is comman in this season of year. Wish for your and your wife's speedy recovery.
Hello, thanks for this amazing video. Just a question, at the end of the video when you talk about Star Wars, did you say chucking Star Wars on? What’s the meaning of this expression?

My Cozy film is “out of Africa” by Meryl Streep, main actress + Robert Redford

That’s a great question! It basically means to watch that film. ‘Chuck’ is an informal way of saying ‘put’
By the way, what is faster, hot or cold. Hot is faster because you can catch a cold
