🙋🏾♂️ Amazing class 🫂
These days I’ve listened your podcasts again and again! Your heartfelt explanation help me understand new vocabulary 😊 Thank you from Japan.
Hi Gideon, Once again, thumbs up-great episode! I couldn’t agree more! For me, coziness is also so much more than "just" a movie. It’s the whole package-the atmosphere, the sweet and wonderful memories associated with these films, which we can relive when watching them again, immersing ourselves in a perfect world, even if just for a few hours. As another listener also mentioned, movies from the ’80s and ’90s feel much cozier to me than those of today-maybe because they remind me of my childhood, a time when life felt so much easier. As for my all-time cozy movie, it’s The Body (it might sound a bit odd, but I can’t help it) by Stephen King, because I used to always watch it with my twin sister. Also, ALF holds a special place in my heart because my sister and I actually learned German while watching it. Revisiting these movies and the series now alone always pulls at my heartstrings, but the memories associated with them are probably the most precious treasures I have. However, the epitome of coziness for me is spending time with my parents, watching a nice movie, enjoying some indulgent cookies, and having my kitty purring on my lap. Thank you so much for your work-keep it up and stay healthy!
Hello Gideon, What a great episode! I also track and count steps on my smartwatch, and you’re right-10,000 steps every day is not that easy. As for me, I regularly reach my goal without any problems-8,000 or 9,000 steps for sure. The rest might be from hand movements that my smartwatch records, so it’s pretty easy to cheat-or better said, the results aren’t always accurate. I have to admit that yesterday, due to the rainy weather in Germany, I didn’t have the motivation to go for a brisk walk. Thank you so much for your inspiring videos! I discovered you on UA-cam just the other day, and I truly enjoy listening to you and your cute british accent
That is such a great comment! Thanks for watching and for expressing your thoughts and opinions. Have a lovely day!
Thanx teacher😊
It's my pleasure!
Thank you Gideon. Brilliant as usual!!👍
Thanks Mirco!
You are the best in the field of learning english
Wow! That’s is so kind 😊
Thank you for your hard work, Teacher Gideon! Take care! Lots of love to England! England forever! Cheers!
where are you from british can you answer me please because your accent very nice i love it 😍
Kent 20 minutes away from London he said
I’m from the southeast of England in Kent. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks again for you new video, as usual a very good one. I really like the way you explain things and the tópics you choose, interesting and amusing most of the time. I’ve been studying english for a long time, belive me, I am a woman in my sixties and you can imagine all the english classes I went trough Anyway I just really wanted to express my gratitude and my admiration for your good work, and as you say keep it up!!!
Thank you so much, that’s really encouraging!
Hi Teacher Gid, It was a very interesting article, but also controversial at the same time. If we know that 6,000 steps take 1 hour, then 10,000 steps will take 1 hour and 40 minutes (1:40). That's about 5 miles. I think it's not an impossible goal if we take care of our needs while walking. Of course, what should be taken into consideration here is consistency and individual circumstances for each of us. I don’t imagine that 10,000 steps are a magical solution. Sticking to a certain habit or routine, like walking for half an hour a day (equivalent to about 3,000 steps), might be effective and won’t push oneself beyond their limits. This is also what doctors recommend. However, I won’t promise to take even a single step in the cold and rain. Instead, I’ll wrap myself in a blanket by the heater, hoping for a sunny day in the coming week to continue my steps. Thank you very much, Teacher Gid, and have a nice day!😊🌻
Great comment as always Rania!
I have reached 9000 steps, but not every day! I usually walk about 5000 steps. My phone counts the steps but I don't think about it. Three of my cousins walk a lot, even though they're older than me. I agree with Claudia and you. Cheers.🎉
5000 steps is still great! Well done
@@gsl-english Thank you!
Go, Teacher Gideon! Go, England! ENGLAND FOREVER! Cheers!
👍
I love british accent. Thanks for this excellent episode 🤍
Thanks so much!
Hello, Teacher Gideon! I think you are attractive, polite and mild-mannered! You are the perfect English gentleman, hehhe! I am actually aspiring to become an English teacher myself! Do you know that I have already acquired my TEFL certificate? I attained the 168 hour Level 5 TEFL certificate as well as three advanced shorter courses to go along with that! In due time, I will also acquire my bachelor’s degree in teaching the English language as well! Wish me luck! I love your podcasts, they are interesting and relaxing! And I love England! Take care, Teacher Gideon and keep up the good work! Cheers!
You’re far too kind! Thank you for your lovely and encouraging comment! Congratulations on your TEFL certificate. My advice to any new teacher is to let your personality come out and find a way of teaching that you like!
It's nice to see our Englishman! Another great episode!
Me too! Teacher Gideon is like the perfect English gentleman! He is attractive, polite and mild-mannered! You can tell he is a lovely person! Cheers!

In the beginning, I thought I wasn't able to understand or follow the whole podcast, but for my surprise, I could follow all the explanations and understand the podcast. For that, I send you all my affection and gratitude from Spaon. 🎉😊
👍😁
Great video, Gideon! However, could I make you a suggestion? To me, your videos would help me better if I could read, or if you could say how the words you're talking about are spelled. Thanks anyway for your work.
Thanks a lot
A proper English lesson , full of words! Thank you!
Hi Gideon, i reckon the pub from your childhood is really important to you , it has à sentimental value , even though it was called" the rising sun" i assume it had nothing to do with a penitenciary!!! Thank you Gid for this causal and cool vidéo.hope you are fine and your familly is too.Serge the frog.
Thank you.... could you make videos about the news especially UK... I think it will be very informative understanding updated news
Congratulations on your work Gideon!!!. I am from Spain and I would love to hear from you about motorcycles; manufactureres, races, mods and rockers... . The south of England nows a lot about it.
❤
Awesome
i already get used to thumbs up then start watching the videos😂i love all ur English podcast, there're really helpful!!
Hello! Can I say “let’s chuck a music”??
Thank you for your video.
I love this couple chatting..thanks to you both
Hello, Gideon! Honestly, you are making my mouth water with all those English dishes! I think one of the best things of being alive is stuffing your face with delicious food if you can ahhaaa! I love a hearty meal and I would love a hearty English meal at that! One day hehee….Keep up the good work as always! Cheers!
Hello, Teacher Gideon! I love it when you share snippets about British culture and British English expressions and idioms! I love Britain! And anyone can tell you are a positive and lovely person! Keep up the good work! Cheers!
Hi Gideon. How are you doing ? As usual, it's such a proper good video. 👍 I already said that in a previous video but I insist that you should make a video about British culture, History or something. Each time you speak about British culture or traditions, and in this video, it refers to food, but it seems that you really love your kind of heritage when it comes to your origin, and I love that. You speak with a lot of love about it, and each time, at that moment, you draw my attention way more. Thanks a lot.
Hi Gideon! I've been watching your videos for the last few months and I find them quite useful. I particularly enjoy those that are quite chatty, as you say: "a good old natter" about just anything. Keep it up! You're doing a great job! Thank you and good luck with your channel!
Your natural conversation is most helpful and so interesting to listen to. Thank you Gideon.
As for your bunged up nose, fumigating your nostrils with hot water vapour should fix it😊
Hello Gideon. Useful video, but I think you should spell the words you explain... That would help us... For instance, I didn't understand the first one... Is it chock or what? Thank you in advance...😊
It is actually “chuck”! Chuck by itself means to throw something casually! Chuck something on is a casual way of saying to put something on, almost like throw it on! It is rather informal! Cheers!
@mademoisellelanoire4632 Thank you so much madam for your explanation... Good afternoon!
