How to make orchestral compositions like azali
This tutorial is nowhere near perfect and I might have gotten things wrong at certain points in the video, I am sharing my process for this kind of composition and I hope you can learn something from it :P.
Thanks to @AZALI00013 for working with me offering his flp’s for study and always answering any question I had.

The azali community is honestly amazing
Bruh us Azali fans are always so encouraging and supportive. Dear god though they really do make such god tier music. I LOVE Raven Waltz, their best song imo.
@@LeadLicker I have a whole playlist just for their music I love azali
@@LuiDipopme too!! Kinda... i have a giant playlist full of their music and toby fox stuff. I made it for my writing, i still need to add some new azali songs and some dark souls stuff though
is there a AZALI discord server?
@@willowen4598 yeah it's somewhere in their channel
Vergence: "No more time to waste on the intro, let's get started." Adds a 3 second count down.
new to fl studio and came here to get an overview, got a good few laughs out of it too :D your edits are fun
Welcome aboard
Coming from AZALI
This made my day just a bit better. I am just getting into music making and this type of stuff is really useful for me because I felt quite overwhelmed by all of the aspects of other tutorials when it can be just narrowed down to simple steps like you showed here. Thank you.
I’m glad I could help!
how is your journey going so far?
I HAVENT SEEN SO MANY PEOPLE MENTION AZALI AT ONCE! GOSH IM SO HAPPY. AZALI'S THE BEST
i usually write entire songs on one pattern with every instrument lol. i only ever split them into separate patterns for cosmetic effect
that works too !! I like to keep them separate since I usually reuse a few of them along the way in other parts of the song :)
😮
This is honestly some of the best educational content I've ever seen. It's got the captivation of a good goofy ah UA-cam Video but actually explains things at a good pace.
learning so much from your videos, great stuff man keep on creating!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!❤❤ this is such a thoughtful and helpful video I really appreciate it. God bless you.
Azali Rocks, ive always wanted to make music like them!
I’ve never had a music tutorial make me locked-in studiously one moment and then make me bust out laughing the next. Every bit you were like “that wasn’t even a good bit” were the best ones.
I know you haven’t uploaded for a while, but I REALLY hope to see more like this. You’ve got the sauce to be the best out there.
Not forcing ofc ofc
This is genuinely the most informative video on how to compose using FL Studio I've encountered so far. I appreciate your sense of humour as it really helps elevate the video and keeps my brain engaged in what you're saying. That said, sometimes the memes are a little much while I'm trying to process how to use the software, specifically the spike in volume. Amazing video though, thank you!
Very nice video, I wanna try making one of these now. I was actually listening to these minute songs a lot recently, nice to find some sort of tutorial
I’ve made a couple of compositions with the help of this video. Thank you tons
hilarious editing 😹And actually really helpful
You’re my dad. Thank you for making a video about exactly what music I wanted to create at such an in depth beginner level. Very informative plus love the extra non music, general encouragement. You’re a funny dude, the edits and scattered brain moments are gold. Ty for making this sir
hes your dad

Peak tutorial keep cooking this content out fr
Only been 6 month
sending a virtual hug ❤
I learn alot form this video thx bro
14:15 ~ you can just do Ctrl + X (it cuts out) and you can paste it to new pattern for example.
I am 90% confident, it works like so >.
that was mostly a joke about picking up slow habits on the software, I'm fairly sure selecting split by channel is the most efficient way but I always end up doing it the dinosaur way
This video is informative and funny.
I like your FL Theme, gives me that Chopin Vibe.
nice, thanks for the tutorial
Not like you need it, keep up the good work 👍
Vergence has done it again
amazing, how you make something quit dry actually entertaining to watch.
0:06 i laugh. bro you are helping me very much, thank you for that! New subscriber.
Your composition is da foundation
bro this good fr 💀💀💀👽💀💀💀
I took a college course in music production and even then I still felt like I have much to learn.
AZALI supremacy
AZALI brought me here.
Thank you now I can make fire music
i love you now i can music
Before I go and watch that music theory vid I just gotta say, you voice is great. I could listen to you talk for hours. (In a wholesome, not weird way). I had a hard time with DAW tutorials cuz everything I clicked had a guy talking with the most obnoxious voice ever..
Azali told me to come here, LMAO
chadazali
thank you for throwing in the brain rot to keep me locked in 🙏
You just made my day with that yawn in the beginning lol
trying to do this without a midi keyboard is way too hard
Great video 😂
I don't know if you would consider what I made something like this but I did recently upload my first creation in FL Studio to youtube with some help from this video :)
lil bro made an entertaining informative video 💀💀💀💀

AZALI SPOTTED??!?!
0:30 hah wheel up signal, instant like
thank you for your tutorial! Do you upload tutorial without memebreaks?
Man when you said "as an Aristotelian would say" I was like "please don't be a gag" ... too bad, Aristotelians have some good stuff to say about what makes music good. Thanks for this video all the same, very useful for a noob like me :)
im not actually well read on philosophy of music? could you tell me something or link me a vid about it
@@Vergence man I wish I knew, honestly it is beyond me, I've mainly been interested in Thomistic stuff which draws a lot on Aristotle, but not in music, just in like metaphysics and stuff like that. There's stuff like how each part of music hits a certain part of the soul, for example the rythm hits the passions, the harmony hits the will, and the melody hits the intellect, but that's about all I understand about it haha
Really enjoyed this video!!!
I feel like there may have been too many "SIKE!!" edits but it was good nonetheless
i will work on lowering the amount of times i say sike

Also not me thinking u said vpn instead of bpm so i bought a vpn with fl studio 😹 off to a great start
Bro I actually downloaded the cheat sheet💀
?
how do i know when its a good idea to use notes that are out of key of the scale i'm in, like you did around 6:50 ? Also, how do i know which off key notes to use, when to use them, etc? sorry i know its a vague question and the answer is gonna be "do it when it sounds good" but i'm tryna understand why being out of key can sound good, and how I can use and understand it better? Id love a video about this
I mean acknowledging the tension that it creates is really the most important step, also using it as a transition between two notes in the scale will generally always work, like if you are walking up by half steps. Also knowing the “blue note” or basically the sharp that is added to the respective pentatonic scale to make it a blues scale can be helpful in choosing an off key note that still works
goddamn, the meme part jump scared me. maybe this is not for me
dont let my shit sense of humor take you from music
love u
Adonisssss
how can you let the patterns play it like that 1:38
17:23 "that wasnt even that funny" ... me who almost fell of his chair and woke up almost the entire family: >.
0:20 bro 😂😂😂
💯 editing Video 😂😂
Ok, I actually did manage to make a short piano song. I would post the link here but idk if you want to have this sort of stuff in your comments.
Hey, not sure if you're still responding to comments on this video but I need a bit of help with the spitfire audio thing (I'm not very good with computers, I only know the most basic stuff)
I downloaded the spitfire audio application to my laptop but I don't know how to actually use the stuff from it on fl studio.

I just don't have rhythm
Don’t you see what you were doing right there? With a stamp and a book you got a real nice hook yeah I can see that you got rhythm to spare
entertaining but i've watched 4 minutes so far and i feel like you've gotten nowhere. way too many jokes and tee-hee humor. barely any meat. just fluff
So much editing with goofy clips. This just breaks the concentration. The comments and joking killed this. Alright and good, if you’ve done this shit alot before. Shit man…..this ain’t for me. I’m sure your work is good, but I wanted to learn, not goof around. They make TikTok bull shyte for that.
