What was missing is ANY idea of ongoing filter costs. I am looking to replace mine because the filters are costing me way to much, but I bet those "easy to change" tankless filters are VERY expensive!

Do you still need to drill a hole in the plumbing for the waste water on the tankless system?
No because you can reuse the hole from your old RO system.

So many vids so far just skim over the tankless filter change😖. I need to know if you have to shut off water or any other maneuver!!!
I would definitely shut the water off just to be safe. It should have a valve on the water in line.
