Either that or his amp is on crank because I'm hearing overtones in those notes on the studio recording. I tried some takes with pinch harmonics and it didn't quite sound the same. So I played it like he does live. My wrist is healing but very slowly. I'm treating it with heat, ice, exercises, and it goes into a splint at night time. I have good days and bad days. @@bjrnchrstn Sounds like you haven't actually tackled any of Slash's legendary solos - No there isn't that much repetition at all - i just learned another one and there is 37 bars of lead in the 3 verses and no two are the same - he mixes it up a hell of a lot - that's actually one of his strengths, so to say it's repetitive is like saying Maradonna was sluggish and heavy on his feet - the exact OPPOSITE of reality.

Listened to this epic song and solo by Slash himself last night live in Athens Olympic stadium....😊 and you sir have done a fantastic job in achieving the tone, feel and groove of Slash's playing style. This cover and the one of You Could be mine are excellent and will keep me busy to finally put the work into it and grind until the fretboard melts...😂
Slash is a blue's player really, kind of a cross between Page, Gilmour, and a tiny sprinkle of Eddie Van Halen. I don't know why but UA-cam won't even let me upload performances of these old songs, or even part of the song showing people how to play them, even gave me a warning strike. And yet there is a large number of such videos. Strange.

Honestly, and just IMO, I say that this is as close as it gets to the real thing and it’s absolutely awesome sauce. I mean, the tabs sound so much better than the first one, (not saying it didn’t sound good) but man o’ man it’s insane. One thing I would do is make the tone on the Interludes more raw in a way; kinda like make the sound of it of the guitar come out more than it is in this video. (again IMO) But this is a great tab, thanks for doing what you do best Mr. Tabs! 💪🏼👏🏼🤘🏼

Imagine the Engineer at the console when this was recorded. He probably thought it was going to be another terrible band with no talent coming in to waste his time. Just imagine hearing this live in the room for the first time, he probably crapped his pants. Slash must have been just jamming blues based pentatonic licks for like 10 hours a day over multiple years leading up to this iconic recording.
The whistle blow, lol. This video is good practice for your upcoming Poison cover seeing as how Slash actually auditioned for Poison before CC DeVille auditioned. You're telegraphing your every move for those of us who are paying attention. I am wondering where you're going to get a BC Rich Gunslinger, though. Way to completely slay that outro solo.
@neonknight-1522 completely different styles - and at the time image, which was a really big thing. Poison is those four original guys, those first three albums. After "Flesh 'n Blood", Poison had two other guitarists (Richie Kotzen and Blues Saraceno) for other albums, both could *play circles* around CC..But it really isn't Poison without CC, who wrote the music/hits (except Every Rose which was Bret and probably more the producer, Tom Werman).
Yeah pretty impressive but I'm glad to see it has breaks where sections were recorded individually. I can't imagine how hard this would be to do in one continuous take!
