We have one of these at our work in a round table huddle room . we find the quality grainy when they zoom into your face. Quality it about 720 and rarely 1080p. Hoping the second gen will be 4k

@@CallOneInc will keep an eye out for it. I spoke to owl labs support and they said my internet connection may be too slow but i know it’s not the case since I’m running it in a gigabit fiber connection. I think the digital zoom is what makes it grainy. If the table is small then the quality is fine. For those asking I’m using the pro version of meeting owl.
@@rcorrea26 that was the number one critique that I received from my colleagues when testing the Meeting Owl Pro. They said it’s “grainy” and not 1080p. We’ll see if the new version improves video quality! It’s still a great solution for more collaborative around the table discussions.
It is grainey (lower resolution) and it won't get better with another version. The camera uses DIGITAL zoom to "focus" on the speaker. When it zooms in digitally from a panaramic view it is looking at a portion of the image and only that portion is enlarged. All digital zooms do that. It has nothing to do with the internet speed. If it were a mechanical zoom you would see a true 1080p image of the speaker. A 1080p panaramic imager with a mechanical zoom lens would cost about 5K.
We use Zoom and we needed to contact support to enable 1080p for each of our meeting rooms. Although we don't have an Owl the quality made a difference after getting the 1080p feature enabled. They don't support 4k resolution yet but by default, Zoom only allows 720 so make sure you contact them.
One of the issues I see with the Owls is that due to its height they should be placed on the table, but the remote participants are on the TV. So when you look directly at them you are not facing the owls. So, the remote participants not see you looking directly at them.
Hi Ricardo, the Meeting Owl, Meeting Owl Pro and new Meeting Owl 3 have a place depending on the use case. Sometimes people in the meeting room may have internal discussions, this is where a solution like the Meeting Owl shines as it captures that discussion well for the remote participants. Before and during the pandemic I have participated remotely in many video meetings where I feel left out because there is a discussion happening amongst the people in the meeting room and all I see as a remote participant is the backs or sides of their heads. With the Meeting Owl, remote participants are able to have a better view and experience. That's the beauty of the multiple options available today. There is no shortage of front of the room video systems from all-in-one video bars to separate camera and audio components. Use case and budgets will determine what solution is best. I would also have 2 questions: 1. Does this camera also allow live transmissions on platforms like facobook? 2. Can a microphone system be attached to this camera to improve the audio part?...I was thinking of attaching our sound system (audio mixer and 4 microphones)

To do this, you will need to connect the Meeting Owl Pro to your computer via USB and then select it as your camera, speaker, and microphone in Facebook Live. Once you have done this, you will be able to stream your meeting live to Facebook. Here are the steps on how to use the Meeting Owl Pro with Facebook Live: 1. Connect the Meeting Owl Pro to your computer via USB. 2. Open Facebook Live. 3. Click on the "Settings" gear icon. 4. Select "Video Settings." 5. Under "Camera," select "Meeting Owl Pro." 6. Hi @samkedala9994! Have you contacted Owl Labs directly and have them address your questions/concerns? I am more than happy to connect you with them. As for your question, while there are a few manufacturers who offer a 360 degree field of view, they may fall short in some areas and may have security issues however, because they are less-established brands, we may not hear about it as we would for more established brands. I tested Coolpo AI Huddle Pana and I've been testing FunTech Innex Cube but there are others like EMEET Meeting Capsule, Kandao Meeting 360, and Kandap Meeting Pro. I haven't tested these models yet and don't know if they offer security concerns. Logitech and Neat both announced they are introducing a center of table/room camera sometime next year. Thanks for the demo! Based on the specs, for that size conference room, it shouldn't need 2 owls. 2 owls, at least based on their specs, would only be needed for a training style open room with multiple tables.

Hi Jesus4ME, There is no software or firmware update that will improve video resolution or quality of the Meeting Owl Pro. I have received the new Meeting Owl 3 and will be comparing to the Meeting Owl Pro and if I can get it to work, the original Meeting Owl. The Meeting Owl Pro and Meeting Owl 3 both have cameras with 1080p resolution, but most video conferencing platforms will downgrade video resolution. If the internet is slow, either on the network in the building or over the internet anywhere along the path between the Owl and the remote participants, the platform will adjust and lower the video resolution in order to send less data. This can also happen to compensate for multiple endpoints on a call. Some video conferencing platforms will default to a lower resolution. If you are noticing a low quality video, you can try increasing your building's internet speed, or changing video conferencing platforms. Hi Tuglife! Do you mean can the Meeting Owl be used with Microsoft Teams or Zoom? If so, the answer is YES. The Meeting Owl Pro (Newer model Meeting Owl 3) are USB devices. They connect to a computer and will work across all major meeting platforms including Teams, and Zoom.

How do we get the owl to have crisper video? It seems pretty choppy
