The reason why I love their classical music so much is because it can be enjoyed in every part of the world; it has the same meaning in every country. It is simply meant to be enjoyed by all ears. They need to do more soulful, classical songs like this.
I adore Sacra. First heard it at the concert in Kyiv, Ukraine. That's totally amazing melody, it makes my soul floating. I'm waiting for the album release so desperately.
@tararico Not sure because they haven't said, but they've been doing a song by song description on their Official site so I'm hoping we will all find out soon. ;)
@sk8rwhezel - These two songs are sooo gorgeous and send chills down the spine when they play them live. ;) I think that they will always play some slower classical pieces no matter how hard they rock everything else. ;)
@andtheresnoregrets - It is soo gorgeous. Love them both but Sacra has something extra to it - can't put my finger on it. ;) August 24th can't come fast enough for me. ;)
@nnnnihan Based on the two times I've seen them place this song live (before and after the release of the album) this is how they are playing the song - no cymbals. It does sound barren in a way, but it is very stunning just the same. I think the raw sound makes it that much more moving. Hope you get to see them soon. ;)
I see this was recorded before the album's release, so I hope they will not be performing Sacra like this, because, though I love the melody, I think what makes that song so charming is the cymbals, and with only drum as percussion, this sounded so.. barren, if I may use this word... (yet my adoration for Mikko remains untouched :) ) Anyway, dying to see them perform live in Finland, in their homeland, this winter after they are finally done with most of the world!
@Neithie In all the interviews I've heard over the last couple months they've been talking about wanting to do Australia/New Zealand in 2011 - So there is hope for you. But yeah, a side trip to Finland might be in order as well. ;)
what is this... whats this aluminum folding chair ! ! ! where's the awesome cello-skull chair ? hey Eagle Theater this is not the way u suppose to treat legends...

@evfan101 I know what you mean!! Isn't it the 24th yet?? The wait is killing me. :/
"Sacra" is awesome, i would do everything to see 'em playing in me country, but NOOOO... that's why living in Brazil makes me sad
@BelladonnaU2 Hi!Thank you fopr your answer.:)
Boze!!tolka krasa
@SymphonicFreak1 I understand what you mean. I get sad about it too. :\
@nnnnihan Except Australia! They ignore Australia. I have waited years. :(
I better just come to Finland. :)
@tararico sacra means something saint, is latin
Sacer, sacra, sacrum, "sacred" in latin. Sacra is the plural of the neuter form sacrum, it means "sacred things".
I absolutely love Sacra. Guess it's my favorite Apocalyptica song :)
What mean "sacra".....?
what is this... whats this aluminum folding chair ! ! ! where's the awesome cello-skull chair ? hey Eagle Theater this is not the way u suppose to treat legends...
3:58 ohw at least they saw how unfair it was..
wait where are the cymbals?
fuck -___-
Well that was shameful... leaving Mikko to stand out there like that . That's disgusting. Utter disrespect and lack of recognition for their talent.
Eicca's cello sounds terrible at the end of Beautiful....
