  • Hello and welcome to our channel where today I'm having a go at cooking frozen sausages in the Air Fryer. I want to experiment with cooking meat and decided it might be better to start off with smaller things and work up to joints.
    Let's see how it goes!
    Thank you for watching.

Hi Maria, just tried your method for frozen sausages, I took mine up to 190* for the 20 mins, I turned mine halfway and they were perfect for my taste, really enjoyed my sausage sarnies with brown sauce, you mentioned bacon, that's even easier and quicker than the sausages, but I like mine a bit crispy.
thanks for the video, it was very helpful.

I regularly cook frozen sausages in the air fryer Maria,I keep the crisper tray in so the fat can drain off and they always turn out great as does the bacon, nice and crispy if that's how you like it,up here in Scotland we have Lorne sausage or square slice as it's commonly known and it's lovely, after I cooked some the other day I removed the crisper tray and did a fried egg in the fat that drained through the tray,I do all my steaks in the air fryer and beef silverside joints, don't be afraid to cook anything in the air fryer,it's just a small convection oven, you just have to reduce the time and temperature,I use 15c less than what the oven temp would be and 20% less in cooking time but all air fryers are different,it's always best to check the finished temperature with a digital thermometer,I have a little magnetic flip cheat sheet book from Amazon for £2.69p Hydro| Air Fryer Cookbook, Air Fryer Cheat Sheet Magnets Cooking Guide Booklet which is really good, another enjoyable video

This sounds really good. I'm going to try doing a lot more meat in it. I have a grill tray that goes in my air fryer, I'll have to use it. I like the idea of doing an egg in the fat, even though I don't eat fried eggs, Dean will enjoy it. Thank you for the useful tips and for watching. I really appreciate it 😊

Hi Maria, i've cooked sausages in the air fryer before, fresh and frozen, i found the frozen ones took longer to brown. The only problem i've found with them is the skins are tough. I do bacon in it and as i've said before i do a full fry up in it. I've also cooked a full chicken in it and it was lovely. You need to get a temperature probe to make sure the internal temperature is at least 75 degrees centigrade. I you get stuck Kerry on budget cooking uk had some good videos

Yes the skins were tough, but the meat was soft. I'm working up to a chicken. I think sometimes I'm afraid to put the temperature too high. I have a temperature probe, I'll use it when I do a chicken. Thank you.

Hello Maria, once ya start cooking bangers in airfryer you won't go back and chicken is so tender and moist in airfryer. You will love it. I made sausages in mine tonight and no messy grill or fry pan to wash. I always add warm water to mine after cooking straight away and it just needs a wipe out no messing. And I baked an apple pie in me airfry oven on Sunday, it came out delicious. One of your peeps on here mentioned getting a temperature probe, really they are a must when cooking meat in airfryer and there's no guessing, can't really go by time in airfryer, a probe sorts that out. Thanks for this video Maria. See ya on Friday👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The pans are lovely to wash out, no mess at all. I've done apple pie in mine, that came out good, and fruit Crumble. I need to try meat in it now. I do use a meat probe, I used it when I did the sausage rolls, but i didn't use it with the sausages as I could see they were cooked when I cut one in half. The probe will be very useful when I do joints and poultry. Thank you for watching 😊

I forgot to mention something Maria, two Sundays ago I cooked a recipe from Chef Rik, Backyard Chef, it was creamy sausage onion cheese and potato gratin, blige it was good. I didn't do it in my airfry oven though as I made a large one to feed the clan that are here on Sundays. Anyways I'm rattling on🙃 chef Rik boils the sausages first with a drop of oil added to the water then when the water is all gone the sausages start to cook in the oil, like magic. The end result is very tender and cooked through sausages. This is a bit fiddly but well worth the trouble when making a special sausage tray bake like dish. I wouldn't boil mine as a rule though. Just thought to share and the clan demolished it🤣🤣🤣

@@christinegitsham5268 That sounds a nice dish for when you have company. I'll have to look up some of these cooking channels. I've had a few mentioned to me but it's getting time to watch them. I don't really watch cooking programmes, not on TV anyway as I know they're not all they look to be. I have watched the Butlers empire. Someone recommended them to me, but I thought they were some sort of hardware vlogs like advertising utensils, so I took a look and saw they were actually cooking vlogs mixed with family life. I'm going to try a sausage casserole in my slow cooker, I've only done stews and rice pudding in it so far.

@@therichardsonssimpleliving yes I like Sharon and martins channel, it was them that I learned about airfryers and lessoning the cost of energy use with cooking. Sharon is a lovely British home cook like yourself Maria but I can't cope with all the carnivore meat eating, I find it a bit off putting, piles of cooked meat all swimming in butter and no veggies, it makes my tummy turn but Martin has dome so well on the carnivore diet but that's not for me all that meat.😃👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

@@christinegitsham5268 I can eat sausage & bacon on its own, but I'd get dry if I ate too much. I tend to have a splash of beans on them.

...done without instructions......and i can honestly say nothing has cooked wrong....i may need to add a couple of minutes but over all its just brilliant
...i tend too cook things at 180 and guess the time
...Fish along with other things turn out perfect including pastry......its all about practicing ❤

I was pleased with the sausages and I'd do them in the air fryer again. Yes you can do rhubarb Crumble in the air fryer. I did an apple one in the air fryer (its in the playlist), rhubarb should work the same. Thank you for watching 😊

Sounds tasty! I have a grill that goes in my basket, I'll have to try some chops on that. I prefer fresh meat. I'll freeze fresh meat if I'm portioning it, but I don't like to buy it frozen from the shop if I can help it. The skins were a bit tough, but I find that with frozen sausages. I can see me doing them in the air fryer regularly too. So much easier. Thank you for watching 😊
