    I am a priest in the 3rd world and share in the poverty of such situation. I just happen to have access to Utube and am profiting from your program; your insights give much enlightenment. Economically I am of no help, but I pray the Lord to strengthen you apostolate. To God be the glory!

    My great-uncle was a priest and was accused of sexual abuse in the 70s and was proven innocent. There are plenty who are accused and are Innocent but you never hear about them. It's sad that sexual abuse has gotten this out of control in the church because now every single priest is looked at as an abuser. Our priests need all the support and prayers that they can get.

      But the priests also need to stop covering for homosexuals that infiltrated the Church. These men need to be removed from the priesthood.

      Yeah...there's genuinely a lot of abuse still going on too though. And a lot of it is getting dismissed by the bishops in charge (especially if it happens to a woman).
      It's hard. I know. But it's so so so complicated. We need good priests, desperately, but they've got a hard road.

      satan wants to destroy the Church and one of his methods is sowing confusion so that people don't understand who's guilty and who's innocent and lose trust in the Church altogether. He started this work about 90 years ago ua-cam.com/video/HC3mXjL1ZkE/v-deo.html

    I’m a priest in Ireland and so many of my brother priests have become a social figure only, the belief in the supernatural grace from God to help us live this beautiful vocation, and because they do not believe they can live out the priesthood, they let themselves become just a social worker, and they cease wearing their collar. Sad. Thank you so much for this excellent video and prayers. God bless your work.

      Father that is so hard to hear. I'm not a priest but know you are not a social worker you are a man of Christ. Sometimes a priest rocks the sinners world by saying "wake up". Satan preys on all of us. Never be afraid Father to hear God's whisper to help you be what you are, an Apostle. May God be with you, may Christ be your strength.

      I can't wrap my head around how that happens... I don't understand why someone would become a priest just to be a social worker when he could just be a social worker and he could be married if he wanted to as well. Same with gay priests and least in modern times. You don't need the priesthood to live that lifestyle, why does the priesthood appeal to men who don't want to be priests?
      Also thank you for being a good priest, father.

    Priests who vernerate the Blessed Virgin Mary are always the ones who excel in holiness. They have a greater understanding of her role and also their vocation of living the, True Catholic faith. Priests need to desire true holiness with no lacking on Church Morals to save souls. They are the physical examples needed to inspire all to virtue.

    The way that you speak about this reverent priest reminds me of one of my favorite priests of all times, father Scott Winchell in the savannah diocese. The way he raises the Eucharist is so reverential and beautiful! It is so rare to see this. Also he never separates his fingers until after distributing communion when he does the ritual washing of his fingers, etc. It is very very rare to see a priest who portrays such reverence to the holy Eucharist anymore. Oh, and he also brought back the use of Communion rails at our church. 😁

    First I want to say thank you very much for this episode, I had injured myself at work today. I got my belly caught on a screw used to hold the lock on the fiber cabinet at work. It cut my belly open and it felt like it moved some stuff inside my belly that caused me to go into cold sweats and feel sick. My boss and my girlfriend where telling me I should go to immediate care to at least get it diagnosed, but I hate that type of stuff and said I will just do stretches and sit in ways that are known for helping stuff move back into place. Sitting in my poses and watching your show, when you talked about your miracle with Tommy, I said Tommy help me and immediately I felt things move back into place in my stomach and it no longer hurt. While yes you could say it is coincidental, I have way to many of these coincidentes to believe that. Tommy is a saint. God Bless you all.

I knew it would be ridiculous to try to give it up totally so, what I did was if I have it on before my husband gets off work at 3:00 the content has to be catholic related. Joseph Spiller (German?), read through Paul's epistles, Romans-Philemon, make a search for the word priest or priesthood, You won't find it! Ask Yourself, Why? Why isn't Paul informing the Gentile church about this important priesthood, on the contrary, he gives an example of the qualifications of a bishop!
      1 Timothy 3:1-3
      3 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
      Now I ask You to pray about this! we have no priests in the Body of Christ (the new creature), Paul never refers to Christ as our high priest, only as our Head! The teaching of priesthood belongs to Covenant Israel {old and new Covenant), we, Member of his Body, are his ambassadors, and that word You will find in Paul's epistles! My prayer is, that through prayer You will recognize the spiritual landscape the body of Christ is in, where there is no priesthood! God bless You!

    One of my dearest friends was Msgr. Felix Donnelly here in Savannah. He became a Msgr. because he helped the black population here so much with a Catholic high school and many other things. He used to stay all night at the emergency room in case anyone needed a priest. He gave away anything valuable people gave him to poor families. On Christmas eve 1998 I visited him at his nursing home and we sang carols together...he had flashes of mental clarity that could be amazing. While we were singing, he suddenly sang all the verses of "O! Tannenbaum" in German.
    Other priests considered him a flake and a dreamer. But he commanded respect because Paul VI gave him the title. When asked to a dying person he never asked, "Are they Catholic?"
    On an Immaculate Heart evening Mary came to me in a dream and said she wished she had thousands like him. The last thing the Catholic church needs is another priest just for well off people who can afford the gas to attend Latin Masses...or more arguing over Bible verses. I'm a Catholic grandmother and I approve this message!!!

    This show has given me hope. I get saddened with the negativity on the shows from both sides of the isle _sorry for the pun_. I needed to hear the good things about priests. We are blessed in our parish to have such a man. He is 90 and has chosen to stay with us in his retirement. We pray for him every day. He has morning mass every day, his words keep us going. We are a very small country parish and we know that when he is gone we will probably be gone also. So there are still holy priests, yep, some even face the people. I am female and I also am a lector. For me it is an honor to use what talents God gave me to praise Him, my voice. Thanks again fellows! Keep on spreading the good news.

    I taught in Catholic schools for decades. Unfortunately, my experience of priests has been with more administrator types than spiritual leaders. I think a lot of that had to do with the extreme change in formation in seminary during the years I was in close proximity to priests - midSeventies through 2016. I also perceived a difference between diocesan priests and those in a religious order.

I truly feel that we are in our end days and these priests will be tested and tempted in unimaginable ways. Us lay folks are allowed to be sinners yet we hold our priests to an incredible standard that is only maintained by the closest walk with God. The practice of rotating priests out of a parish every two years has to stop. There is no incentive for those priests to take a failing parish in hand and work to revive it. Such is the case with the parish I am in. I am recently returned to the faith after decades away, and even I can see the decay and flagging attendance. I pray every day that our current pastor, Fr John, is allowed to stay indefinitely. He has already made some sweeping changes to bring the parish into the 21st century kicking and screaming. He is full of vitality, spirit and passion, and we need him so desperately.

    For all of us who becomes a Priest or a Nun,
    it is Our Lord Jesus who chooses.He chooses
    us because he knows we have those qualities
    to succeed in Spreading the Word.Our Lord
    Jesus is the Way,,the Truth and the Life.
    This is why he choose the twelve Apostles.
    The Holy Spirit is in each of us and it is
    through the Holy Spirit we Succeed

    • @rlrett1
      @rlrett1 4 роки тому

      So You saying everybody else hasn't these qualities? Paul writes this!
      3 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
      It is up to us to serve the Lord, so much for your Catholic Calvinistic view! Yes, everything good comes from God, but we do have a free will and make decisions! And if You have the Spirit in You as You claim, why are You still within the RCC? You would have recognized the Babylonian ceremonies, Baal worship within RCC! When did You get this Spirit? Was it during water baptism, or was it on the day of Confirmation? I tell You it is neither DAY!
      Ephesians 1:13 in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
      Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
      Since Catholics use Paul's letter only in their SECOND readings, How in the world are they able to know the Gospel of grace, revealed to Paul! They keep themselves under the Law with a covenant leadership (12 Apostles belonging to Israel) and have no clue about the Glorious Gospel , that was hid in God, until it;s revelation to Paul!
      Galatians 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
      Now, who am i to talk like that? A Catholic of 55 years with a family steeped in Catholicism with a aunt as a nun and a uncle as a brother, and a grandmother as religious as it gets (still love her), who has been unshackled from the bondage of Catholic doctrine and have been translated into the freedom under Christ! I myself was a bush without flowers, that starts to flower and in my growth in the grace of Christ will come to a full bloom! Stan has blinded the RCC members with his satanic apparitions of Mary and so many mystics, that they have stopped looking to the word of God! God Bless You!

    We need praying priests who are willing to sacrifice. Sacrifice their time to spend more than 30 mintues a week in the confessional. Sacrifice by offering the holy sacrifice of the Mass daily at a time when normal working people can make it - not at 9 AM. And priests who are not afraid to speak the truth against the lies of the culture. Lastly, priests who are willing to undo the destruction in our churches and make them beautiful once more with reverent, timeless liturgies by eliminating Eucharistic "ministers", girl "altar boys", awful music (guitars and bands). Bring back the altar rail and reverence for the Eucharist.

    Having attended ordination ceremonies and watched a few online, I have noted a few things which standout: (1) where bishops are good, clear, strong father figures to their flock, their priests follow (2) priests with good examples of father figures in their lives tend to be better prepared themselves (3) these men themselves have a clear sense of the mystery and experience of the Fatherhood of God within their love of Jesus. Sounds 'sexist', perhaps, but this clear idea may have been precisely what modernism and relativism has effectively diluted and wrought identity confusion within the Church and the mystery of Sacerdotal Priesthood, no?

    Guys, I'm a priest. And while I try my best to serve Christ in His Church, I would feel utterly overwhelmed if I had to "save" the Church. I know what you mean, but it sounds all wrong. No priest will save the Church but the one high priest Jesus Christ. Our whole mess is due to looking for men to fix this and those men believing it is their job to "save" the Church with no regard for the fact that it is not even "their" Church. We (and I mean the clergy in particular) are good at ruining things. The only times we "save" is when Christ does the saving through the sacraments. So while I get what you are trying to explore here, please consider rewording the title. As it stands it is theologically... well... offputting.

We are starving because there aren't enough good priest spreading the word of God! We need priest who aren't afraid to stand before their parish and give a good Catholic homily! When a priest is filled with the love of Jesus..I believe that love will be felt by anyone he comes into contact with! I do believe that if our priest put more trust in Jesus and allow Him to lead..they could change the church.. by one good and holy priest at a time! God bless you Father! 💕

      Please read through Paul's epistles, Romans-Philemon, make a search for the word priest or priesthood, You won't find it! Ask Yourself, Why? Why isn't Paul informing the Gentile church about this important priesthood, on the contrary, he gives an example of the qualifications of a bishop!
      1 Timothy 3:1-3
      3 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

      @@rlrett1 The Greek word for priest (iereus) is not applied to bishops and presbyters in NT. It applies that title to Christ (Hebrews 5:5, 10; 9:11), to all believers (1 Peter 2:5, Revelation 1:6, 5:10), to Levitical priests of Judaism (Matthew 28:11, Luke 5:14, 10:31 etc.) and to priests of Jupiter (Acts 14:13). But pls check OT as well.
      OT has universal priesthood of all Israelites (Exod. 19:6) that prefigures that of NT (1 Peter 2:5). It also has levitical priesthood from the tribe of Levi (priests and levites) and one of priests is chosen to be High Priest. If the High Priest of OT prefigures that of Christ in NT (Heb 5:5) then levitical priesthood must prefigure that of NT. Jer 33:18-22 prophesied that levitical priesthood will continue offering sacrifice. It cannot be fulfilled in levitical priests of Judaism as the no longer can offer any sacrifice after the destruction of their Jerusalem Temple in c. 70 AD. Another prophecy is Isaiah 66:21 says that God will take some from all nations as priests and levites or they are no longer hereditary. Prophecies of OT can be fulfilled after the last book of NT was written and that explains why the word priests is not applied to bishops and presbyters.
      1 Tim 3:1-3 says that a bishop must have one wife but you forget verse 4 that mentions his children (plural). Does this mean a childless married men or those with only one child cannot be bishops?

    What is the title and author of the the book you speak of at the end in section on "where to get it"? It is fine to know priests are meant to be men of prayer, but prayer is not taught in most seminaries at all. Then when the seminarians become priests and have parishes you are surprised when the start having yoga meditation in their parish hall every week. People need to be taught to pray - how to meditate. In a seminary in the UK several years ago, the seminarians were told there would not be a prayer period in the moring as everyone could find their own time to go and pray. There are several methods of prayer and they should surely all be presented to seminarians so they find the one that suits their character. Grace will take over at some point and they will go along with where the Spirit leads them: the differences in 'prayer methods' is often associated with some religious order with a particular charism but that too can have much to do with charactor to a certain extent. Seminarians for secular priesthood need to find their niche in some area that suits them by trying different methods. Such prayer leads to the love of Jesus and that is Whom they should fall in love with - not some type of intellectual ideal: the whole person needs to be developed - but how can it be if none of the methods are taught and tried out by the seminarians?

    When Pope Francis says “I have a dream forest and cultural practices in Amazonia must be preserved”
    , there are dark words hidden in the contextual comprehension: The forest preservation is the coca plantations’ preservation.
    The preservation of cultural practices in indigenous people of the forest is the paganism preservation against the gospel preservation. Moreover, those dreams are nightmares of stopping conversion of those souls to Christ Kindom and God’s will. In addition, those Pope’s nightmares are encouraging indigenous ones to live by the flesh instead living by the spirit, loving the creation instead of the creator.
