With lyrics, performance and genuine rock music. And if you knew Bruce and Nils Lofgren, you would know they are actually pretty good.

No one and I mean no one can take it away from these guys,they are the best at what they do. Which is whole lot more than some bands do. They don’t rest on their Laurels because they are famous and soooooooooo! Talented. They play every concert like it’s their first, they take nothing for granted and to this day ,they are still having a ball up there. I always loved Bruce's more guitar rock oriented songs like this one, and was pleasantly surprised to find (on the wiki) that Bruce did all the guitars. He should write more upbeat guitar songs that feature him soloing! Great performance of my favorite song from the Born In The USA album!

I'm 50 years old and just getting into Springsteen now, weird eh?
It's odd how our tastes change or expand. I am 50 as well, and I will admit I used to not like Springsteen. Then in 1995, when I was in some CD of the month club or whatever, his "Greatest Hits" was sent to me because I did not specify I didn't want it. I had planned to return it but forgot, and it sat on my shelf for almost 6 months, then I finally opened it up one night and put it on because I was tired of my same old CDs. By the time I hit "Secret Garden" I had gone through a metamorphosis of sorts. I was in love with the CD. I wore it out over the course of the next several years. My girlfriend took me to see him in August of 2002, on The Rising tour, and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.
