Holy, this is pretty cool. Kinda felt bad for bootleg Luigi at the end though and Mario. I liked the segments that actually explained everything, nonetheless the virus is slowly growing and mutating! Nice work and happy Halloween.
Yep, now we know where Mario went after the Overdue Retake cover (and some context of what happens before everything)... So bootleg pixel-worthy... (Ngl Bootleg Luigi's chromatic sounds good in this one)
Wait.. since the evil luigi ( i forgot his name ) has the ability to make sprites of other luigis a part of him self. Doesnt that also imply that the luigis he summon were once regular luigis before?
That *is* a likely scenario, however back in the Super Mario OS ROM, the other Luigis were stockpiled placeholder .BIN files for additional playable characters, to which in the files by numbered order are just right by each other. The extra players were a late addition to the ROM and were not accounted for in the beginning of development, so dataminers could see a huge gap between the Mario Bros. and the resprite's files. With that in mind, it is possible for the resprites to actually live independently in the ROM as regulars, but you don't see them here either because they are still files, the Bros. haven't seen them, or they are already dead. In this video's case, a mutated Luigi clone followed Mario to an NES ROM, to which in its already glitchy state on older hardware turned it into another Lugi of Green Marios, marked "Type-NES" when it bugged out Bootleg Luigi into losing all his lives and his sprites. (Yes, that's the Evil Luigi's name, but not called that in-universe. It's often shortened as LugiOGM.) Another lengthy bit: The only other reason they are specifically Luigis is that there was a HUGE debate on what the real Luigi would look like to the 2 devs working on the hack, one dev chose All-Stars (whom is the real Luigi), and was considering SMM2, but didn't pick. The other just doesn't want All-Stars to be in it. Thus. it led to said other injecting SOMETHING into the ROM via a mysterious email, which worked incorrectly, and drove him insane, leading to the birth of Lugi of Green Marios and the events that happened in Mario's flashback. Beta Luigi's set was just a fill in for a 6th player, not part of the stored lineup for Luigi.

Ilike how bootleg Mario calls Yoshi, Yossy like in Kart Fighter

Great Job...
So is this what Mario was doing while the events of Luigi’s identity crisis V2 happened??
Somari the corrupted
This is a W
What happens to bootleg Mario tho?
Well, the new LugiOGM variant couldn't make his sprites part of itself since he isn't green or a Luigi, so he pretty much gets nulled and dies.
@ Okay I’m sorry, bc I feel bad for Bootleg Mario, but the way it was worded had me laughing! “He gets nulled and *DIES*” does suck for him though.
