I figure we worked hard to save the $ to buy and experience so many interesting and useful knives. I live in an urban area so not much ability to carry a fixed blade or axe. So many iconic knives. Use them however you want. As long as you're not cutting yourself or others. Safely enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Lets just agree that we all like knives. I am also glad to see that so many youtubers that i watch are more so collectors than users. Cuz thats what i am. Not really afraid to use them, just doesnt come up. So i collect.
I've always said you absolutely enjoy and use your gear and stuff any way that makes you happy!!!! That's the beauty.... there are no rules....I have stuff for everything... hard use safe queen's special stuff with lots of sentimental value and stuff I've gotten at pawn shops!!!! Do what makes you happy....

I do a bit of both. Personally I like to collect and let collect. I want people to enjoy knives the way they want and I want to do the same. Great video faction of the Matts 👍
I both use and fidget with all my knives. At the moment my favorite for both is the Clydesdale
I work a desk job and and do not live in the greatest area so...self defense is always the #1 reason and I have yet to need to defend myself(I did pull it once but was not used, it served it's purpose)...I always have a full size on my backpack when i go riding and a small guy in my waist band when I go running...I do work from home so I am fidgeting and flipping literally all day long...I like nice shiny stabby pokey shit...current fidgeter is an EMP Nymble 1 in micarta
I don’t need to use a knife as often as some people. I always have one on hand for when I do, but I’m also an anxious twitchy dude, so I fidget constantly.
I think the moral of the story is, shut the hell up and stop telling people what to do with their stuff. You are not their mother.
The options are not mutually exclusive. I am in the “both” and “stfu… used my big boy money… will use it as I see fit, sir” camps

I like what i like, buy once cry once, have both users and safe queens. Nobody can tell me what to do with my possessions, I wouldn't tell anyone else what they should do. Some people can afford and do use, Rockstead knives or even Sebenza, daily cutting things. Others can only afford 1 or 2 knives at $30-40 each, and thats just fine with me, I EDC budget knives too.
I have knives for hard use & knives for show and for fidgeting & knives only for humans (self-defense) 😊
I use all my knives no such thing as a safe queen but also figit with them coz it's FUN😂

I use knives for fidgeting and for cutting. Right now I'm fidgeting my Eutektik Trinity, which I just sharpened the other day. I wouldn't have sharpened it if I didn't plan on using it for more than fidgeting. But that's what all my knives are, fidget tools. Some get babied more than others, but still get used for cutting purposes.
To each his own Brother! I have noticed as the community is growing it’s becoming more divided and even a certain negative crowd has rolled in which is inevitable and unfortunate. We need to stick together and don’t go down the rabbit hole with that crowd!
Well until my foot heals. And it’s been 5 months so far. It’s fidget city. But I still use my knives daily to open something. But I like to flip knives open constantly. It’s fun and makes me happy.

I no longer work a job, and I don't do much of the outdoor stuff that I used to, so I have absolutely no "legitimate" reason to own 200 knives...But I do...and when I do carry, I find myself looking for or even creating opportunities to use them. In the end, however, whether we use them or not, I think it comes down to the fact that people like to gather and keep stuff. I like knives...they're shiny!
I got work knives I’ll grind on concrete and sharpen with a belt sander weekly. And I got my safe queens which I carry and cut packages with but won’t ruin because they have sentimental value. And most of my safe queens ain’t expensive.
Use and fidget with the gear! I use my stuff and basically abuse them sometimes as well...i make fires and basically everytime I go out for a safety meeting I have a fire as well so shaving and battoning wood and opening stuff oh plenty! I can see both sides but I definitely lean more toward the user side. I just enjoy using a quality knife and it makes you appreciate it more. But I do love to fidget some.
Many are users while I look at some as more of an artwork. I don't really have an opinion on why people should collect anything. They aren't spending my money. Great video.
To each their own, but I am a use it guy. I could care less how anyone else uses their stuff. I definitely use mine though.
To each their own. I prefer to carry something that can do anything, even if I probably won’t need it to, AND that I appreciate as a user knife collector. Same for the slipjoint I carry too. And if I’m going to a steakhouse, both will be good there as well.

If I ever "hard use" a folder instead of grabbing a fixed blade, someone better give me the Highlander treatment and feel the Quickening. Because that isn't me. For me, folders are for fidgeting and a tool of opportunity if I don't have the fixed blade handy. I don't tell people how to use their stuff, and definitely don't care if they use it. I use 95% of my knives, I have some I wouldn't use, nobody's opinion will make me use them. Just not one to project my opinion on someone else's things and what they should do with it.
Im glad there is people that can show me the safe queens in their collection, I probably won't be getting them. 😂

Matty, the M word only really applies to kitchen knives. Folders don't really kill much, many, or any of that. It's the chef knafe.
My daily carries are known to anyone who knows me. I know you can name three knives I carry every day that I don't take photos of anymore. I can do anything I feel like with any of them. My Satu is worn as hell and has been since day friggin 1 when I got it, I roll the edge taking it against and on occasion through steel. I also fidget the hell out of it. My best friend, you already know, I mean it's my best friend. The hogue is my food knife, I fidget with it np.
Anyway back on point. I'm not divided Matty, not at all. My knives are for WTFE I want them to be for. Same are yours brother. Do what you will! I'm steadfast against those folks who would fkn dare to tell a person like me, you, anyone, what to do with mine/yours/their own property.
if they community actually is divided on this topic someone seriously needs to slap the taste out of it's mouth and I don't want to be part of it. I struggle to see anyone other than an entitled sack of dog mess trying to do that but hell brother, I aint been around much for a minute or two so I don't really know. 🙏
