    This is a brilliant recipe!!!! I just made it after watching you and it’s amazing. It goes from froth to solid fairly quickly so I only just caught it in time. I piped it as clouds onto cloud shaped rainbows then put a little plastic chubby unicorn on it plus biodegradable glitter. I also made them as separate swirly cupcakey toppings in cupcake cases as I had too much. Next time I will layer the clouds up more but I was stressing as I don’t pipe and I didn’t know how long I had before it went solid. They look perfect as long as you keep a steady hand. They have already gone solid and perfect. Thank you so so so so much for this recipe. You are such a good person. I hope life is treating you well xxxx

    The videos were great. I did lots of experiments too so I could get a great soap frosting. In Australia the bath whip isn't cheap. So I came up with my own recipe that sets well and doesn't have bath whip. I use melt and pour, liquid soap and corn flour. It's gives you time to pipe. I highly recommend people do their own experiments too. It's a lot of fun too. I also find if I leave my soaps out to harden for a week or two it helps the frosting harden more. And I use 2% fragrance and I don't lose any from the soaps, they still smell amazing after one or two weeks. Thanks for the videos, Wendy

    Thank you so much for all your time for doing this for us! Good job having it so we can see what you're doing and decent lighting (I know how hard this all is!). How do you salvage the piping bag with the hardened frosting in it? Thank you, Susan

      This has been 4 years, you may not see this, you can make a liner out of cling film. Tear off a square. Lay the soap long ways to fit down into the bag. Fold over the the long part to meet snug. Twist both ends, cut the end off the pipe opening. Then slide this sleeve down into the piping bag. It will keep it clean.

    I want to make frosting but just spoon it onto a soap cake. So I won't need to be piping. Do you think this recipe will work for that. I'll just make peaks with the frosting with a spoon. I kind of want it to look like waves rather than cake decorating. Thank you for the recipes and tutorials, they are amazing!

    how long does it take for the frosting to harden I made your recipe with the melt & pour, liquid soap and bath whip about 18 hours ago. Should the icing have harden by now?

    I'm going to add an ounce of chilled cocoa butter to mine next time so it hardens better.

    Thinking of trying this, but with castile liquid soap. My question is this: how do you attach these to bath fizzies/bath bombs?

    • @mommahamblin489
      @mommahamblin489  10 років тому +2

      They are not attached but are sitting on top of the fizzies. With the Bombs sometimes they stick...other times I have to use clear m/p to get them to stick. Hope the helps you. :)

    What size tip did you use for the pipping?

    • @mommahamblin489
      @mommahamblin489  7 років тому

      My favorite tip is the Wilton 1M. you can find them at Michaels and I think BrmbleBerry has then on their site also, at least they use too.

    How about 1 and 1/2 corn starch

  • @stonerosesoaps9935

    OK so I just tried this exact recipe. COMPLETE FAILURE.
    Anyway after checking everything I worked it out.
    Make SURE you buy Corn STARCH and not CORN FLOUR :P
    Will try again another time, for now I'm off to cry! ;P
