They need to add a deadzone setting. Coming from other fps games, 25 default deadzone is absolute cancer, makes you feel so delayed, even worse when console is already locked at 30 fps
And I thought I was the only one feeling a big blind spot

On pc you can, thou it took me a LONG time to find how you can edit and configure controller settings in steam files tied to steam controller support. You can use settings in steam to force steam to use your configuration over games defaults. For ads thou you need to write additional command lines in config file. I found list of those in steam support post. Its stupid that no one did a guide for this so far. I have 3x times more sensitivity than the 10 default on a controller. I even speed up the movement of the pointer in menu to move faster when looking something on the map.

I just started playing again coming from apex and it kills me not to have all those settings... Aim acceleration on D2 kills me, same with the response curve and deadzones are just as annoying
There's a Mod for legs called Traction that greatly remedys this problem, I never go without it
Same here man. I came from apex and trying to hop back on D2. I need my custom response curve NOW! 😂😂
@@ryderinblack they got rid of that in season of the lost now for a setting, set it to .8 and you will have your traction back and open up a slot on your boots. Pretty great change, alongside ads sens and higher sens options
As a MnK player, I’ll admit, it’s hard as hell using a controller. Not sure why people think it’s easy.
I main MnK. My first ever match playing with a controller I dopped 45 elims. Lets just say when I wanna just chill and not think I plug in my controller. Tough flawless match? Last word will fix it.
I main m&k too, and Recently tried playing d2 on xbox(played 3 days total now, 2 days of crucible). Was expecting to get destroyed but surprisingly was dropping positive kd for almost all the matches (control and elims.)
Never played any shooters on controller before so wasnt too bad for using blue hc and sniper and 1230 light lol. Still got miles to improve though.

If we are able to change binds surely give us a sense higher then 10 with a ads sense and a dead zone setting

The Controller vibration thing is a big deal that many people overlook. I have nerve damage that effect my hands, I turned the vibration off as it was hurting one of my hands, then I noticed the benefits! As you mentioned yes, it's a bit of a hey you're being shot! Kinda deal but if you're paying attention it's not a big deal, I use Slug Shotguns A LOT & my accuracy got FAR better with the Slugs because I was taking my time to line up my shots properly instead if just trying to shoot whoever had just taken a shot at me.

I used to play with the old Microsoft sidewinder, and that thing wrecked my arm
So i started d2 on stadia with a controller that didnt have vibration it was weird at first but i got use to it then when i switch to ps4 I notice my aim was worse until i turned vibration off ive been playing shooter for almost 20 years and it never crossed my mind that vibration could have some pavlov effect on me its weird right food for thought im curious what other stimuli effects performance
Sound for sure. If you don’t have a decent headset, you’re depriving yourself of a bunch of information. Another thing that’s probably quite minor in the grand scheme of things is how far away you sit from your monitor and what type of monitor you use. TVs generally have longer input delays compared to recent computer monitors.
Also mnk has less recoil as it would be harder to control it on a mouse, plus it can be a bit easier to aim on a mouse as you can move and follow players faster
my question is. is there a way to make the controller inactive while tabbed out of destiny 2? does anyone know?

Can't seem to get good with mouse and keyboard so maybe I'll try out controller again idk. I can hit my shots with controller super easy, but I hate my movement on controller.
That’s why I’m hoping some significant sensitivity changes are coming in the near future.
@@ManOfCole You can change sensitivity and a lot of stuff and customize your controller by using custom made controller configuration and use steam to force those settings over games default ones. Those are the files with VDF extension in userdata folder. The problem is that steam changes in time and craps those configs files in multiple folders so you need to change bassic settings with steam than find the proper file with those settings and when you do you can change a lot of stuff and even add your own commands. It realy took me a lot of time and testing before i got my perfect setup. The difference when you do is collosal.
@@draxorgarr7195 while that sounds good in theory, all those hoops you have to jump through is kinda the point…. It just needs to be more accessible in game.
@@ManOfCole I agree 100% with you. I'm just saying there is a work a round for those people that realy want it. I love playing pvp even with cheaters and all the flawss this mode has. Making my own config file and bumping up sensitivity and all other settings showed me the difference that made my win rate and kda soar into the sky in comparison to how it was earlier. I realy dont understand bungies take on this. They realy gimp controller users. With my seetings i slide and when those pesky hunters try to jump over they get shot in the butt. Such a move is almost impossible with default 10 sensitivity settings because it is uber slow.
I just started playing Destiny 2 again, I played it when it came out, but the aiming just pushed me away. Now that I have a pretty decent setup with a good controller I feel better while playing the game (even though I suck at PVP and I play PVP mainly. But atleast I am getting better every day)
I still think this game really needs advanced settings for ads and deadzone. If bungie would add that the game would be an almost perfect game for me!

@@ManOfCole I am not sure what you mean, because I think the button remapping is atleast decent. But maybe I just don't understand what you mean by that. I use an Xbox Elite series 2 controller so my customisation is pretty good😁

The aim assist in this game destroys muscle memory. Different guns have different reticle slowdowns, and it's way too strong overall. I almost exclusively play fps games, I exclusively play on controller, and I ALWAYS turn aim assist off. I'm not hurting anyone else by having that choice, and I'm not at a disadvantage because I've been using gaming controllers since they were invented and playing FPS games even longer. I want the ability to turn it off, or at least have a way to turn it way down. They don't have to make everyone do it but some of us know how to aim

You can’t “naturally” change dead zone or increase sensitivity past 10. However, someone in the comments there is someone who has stated a different way to change them within the code.
How can I raise my crosshair on ps4

i wish icarus dash wouldn’t automatically activate after sliding off a ledge if you have icarus binded to single-pressing your crouch button. annoying as FUUUUUUUUUUCK in pvp.

wait i can use controller on D2? ive been suffering and getting bored since i got a pc i thought i can only use kbm. HOW DO I CONNECT MY CONTROLLER!
Just a regular USB to micro USB charging cord. Plug the usb part into your PC and it will automatically connect when you have the game open.

Adding ADS would make handling irrelevant.
Not entirely. It wouldn't affect the speed at which you strafe. It only affects aiming from side to side

Why does controller sens feel so ass?
It’s an outdated system that was optimized for the previous 2 generations of consoles. Most FPS games not have much more detailed customization options. I imagine Bungie will be making changes to this relatively soon.
@@ManOfCole hopefully, there are several things which prevent me from actually grinding this game. Since it doesn't feel as good, I don't want to grind it. And I'm not willing to buy all DLC until it feels good. Not gonna waste my time on a game I can't aim efficiently on lmao.

My intent for that section was clear up any misunderstandings that MnK players may have had because they were given false information. There are players who will/won’t use certain weapons because they hear it doesn’t have AA on specific inputs. I wanted to make sure people of all inputs have valid information.

I think the range in sensitivity is to low, 10 sens is not that high
I totally agree. I came from the division 2 last year, and that has way better aim settings. You can set your look, aim, and scoped aim all differently, which is way better.
I wish bungie would add custom controller setting like apex. Because in apex with the proper setting on controller, you can essentially make to where their is no recoil
Who cars pc players? Really we console players dont want crossplay with pc if they have problem with controllet aim assist turn off crossplay.

@@ManOfCole YES, and other FPS games with less to NO aim assist - on console and PC. In Destiny, It IS a crutch and was implemented to be casual friendly and uphold the power fantasy in PvP and PvE.
@@MrPrice2U You’re right, Destiny is catered to the more casual…. because it was never intended to be a “competitive” point-shoot game. Aim assist doesn’t make you a better “aimer” and whether or not a game has it isn’t a barometer for a player’s skill. If it’s that much of a crutch then go back to your other elitist shooter games.
@@ManOfCole So what is it? Aim assist is a part of Destiny it because it's a casual friendly game? Or it has no effect? But seriously, I never said it makes aiming easier. Well, it does because it slows down the reticle and males tracking easier. I've been playing FPS games on a competitive level all my life. And YES, Destiny requires "some" skill (movement - game sense) but is a joke compared to other games.
