As a failed bar owner my advice will always be just don't do it. Robbed by a so called friend the pitfalls are too plenty full. No one is your friend when you own a bar . So if a guy with the initial PK wants to be your friend then asks you to go into partnership to buy a bar hopefully your answer will be a resounding no. Never trust anyone here in Pattaya its not only the girls who rip you off its ago go managers too.
Very good point heard it since 1990 now less go into gogo even more pitfalls 34 yrs following pattaya ... I think if your willing to loose 50 thousand to q00k Australian in a bar and say its okay go gor it...... Do not forget hot to pay the boys in brown monthly...... I followed penthouse hotel hogo and knew the son for 24 yrs and he sold out the father but lost 100s k s seriously never ended pit
Thank you, Daz! What a great idea to introduce an entrepreneur who is so grounded and down to earth and who managed to turn his idea of a bar/massage/coffeeshop and a gents club into reality. Shoutout to both of you!
Great video mate. I feel like there are too many bars and not enough customers atm. It's heartbreaking walking past so many empty bars. God only knows how they survive
One of the very few successful bar owners I know reckons the odds are less than 1%. It is far easier to make money buying and selling bars to newbies than running a bar itself.
Very interesting chat Daz .Tony had some business acccumen ,unlike many would be dreamers who open bars clueless . He mentioned the staff being the most expenditure. Imo they are also your best asset .If you think you can employ & retain staff without an excellent mamasan ,good luck with that . Ofc if she goes she takes staff with her . The first encounter with the polite welcome boy at the GC was most interesting . I'm guessiing Tony leaves the face to face , hands on running of the girls & recruitment to a Thai
Hi Daz i would like to thank you, me and my wife had two pairs of progessive glasses made at a optics in one of your other flogs you up loaded very nice women she was great and after 4 days they were ready really great thank you again.

Babylon sounds interesting, but their social media is outdated. Facebook: latest post 2 y/o. UA-cam: latest post 4 y/o. Website: Domain abandoned. What gives?
Very interesting to know the point of view of an entrepeneur ,it´s valid not only for a bar but also for other businesses...Only a curiosity...Some people starts running a business because they have too much free time (it´s boring, they say...) and when They are running a business, then They try to delegate in order to have more free time (That They had before...)
Invest the one or two million baht into the S and P 500 sit back relax no stress and get about 8 per cent on average over 100 years if your really game buy as many nividia shares as you can
Owning a bar in Pattaya strikes me as a vanity project - blokes fulfilling their Cocktail film fantasies. I hear too many stories of ex-pats back at home skint - this is normally from the Thai wife/girlfriend who serving me the beers while now flirting with the customers. The other scenario is the bar owner sitting bored in his bar constantly on the phone until you walk in. Just don’t do it. If you have business sense there are far wiser options.
This guy is living the dream big time. I’m pretty sure is been working hard to achieve all that but certainly is a great lifestyle. Fair play to him 👏👏👏 I’m just come back home from my latest holidays in Pattaya a week ago. The well known bars and A gogó places there are doing extremely well. Unfortunately lots of empty tables full of old ladies. Is a combination of everything. I mean. Good location! Decent prices! Pretty young girls and I guess you must work hard in your Social Media those days..! To promote your business. Good example will be Play Girlz in Soi Buakhao. Great show’s pretty much every single and gorgeous girls. Wicked Video. Thanks DAZ 🙏🙏🙏
Why on earth anybody would decide to open a bar in that country? For every success story there are hundreds of guys that had every dime stolen from them by people they trusted. There are so many reasons why this is an absolutely horrible idea. Far too much risk and way too much work for not nearly enough money. Sure there are always going to be outliers likeTony in the video here but the average person considering doing this has no experience in running a bar and will be eaten alive by the locals. You could probably make the same money investing in low risk stocks and index funds.
Not directly related but just want some feedback. Soi 6 tonight one bar asked for 2500 bar fine . Even the girl I was getting cozy with said it was too much . I’m 57 and in good shape . Is it me or is this how to stay in business? Girl wanted 3000 and I would have paid that no problem. So what gives ? Bar fines almost as much as the pretty lady wants ? Thanks if anyone has thoughts .
Soi 6 is mainly for ST , they discourage LT especially with top girls, because they lose too many drinks, I'm guessing this 2500 fee was earlier in the evening, if you had come back an hour later, it would have been 1500 or less.
Great interview Daz. I agree with all of the points you made and also believe that courage plays a role in success especially after the pandemic. Tony certainly seems to have that as well treating his staff well. So many businesses shut down everywhere. Many will never come back. Nice golf course too! The golf merchandise shops seem to look almost identical anywhere you go.😅Too bad the interview was too early for you guys to visit the 19th hole on the golf course!🤣🍻 Cheers!
Very interesting interview Daz. He gave very useful information for those who are thinking about opening a bar. Just in case you interview more bars owners I think it could be interesting to know the biggest/most expensive mistake or mistakes they made.
Tony seems to be a pretty good down to earth guy. Due to your video a while back, I have visited Sweets Cafe in Soi Honey quite a few times. The coffee & experiences were very good. I was unaware about Babylon but better get my ass down there for a look on my next trip. Cheers
I have a mate who leased a bar in Tenerife , he always stated " if you want to make a million . make sure you come with 2 million " , I understand the rule applies to any bar ?.
Did not think i would enjoy this but i really did. Great conversation. Learning while looking at great scenery is so beneficial. Schools should try it.
Really cool video & info guys, will make a call out to the range there next trip, wouldnt get near a course like that in Europe without paying a fortune.

For every successful Pattaya bar owner, there are many others who have lost the money they brought with them. That is the sad reality.
Look at Aussie in Thailand if you want to see the typical bar 'owner' story.
His channel should be compulsory viewing for anyone thinking of opening a bar in Thailand
He sounds like he's got it all sorted😊
The only reason to open a bar in Thailand is to launder money.
Great video mate. I feel like there are too many bars and not enough customers atm. It's heartbreaking walking past so many empty bars. God only knows how they survive
they wont if you just walk past feeling heartbroken ...555
Just go to a bar,
Get drunk, and think that you are the owner of the bar!
Thats only how you can be a ‘successful’ bar owner in Pattaya.
I wish Tony's MBA had taught him how to keep his hands on the steering wheel more often.. 555
How to make a small fortune? Start with a large fortune 555
Start with a large fortune - "and open a bar in Pattaya". That is the full version. 555
You beat me to it.
Buy beers, not bars!
Like others said. Good interview, a lot of substance there
You are Funny! Bro 😆

yeah i know a guy here in melbourne and all he does is just buy old run down businesses, shops,in good areas does them up n sells them.
A very nice clip. Talking to someone who can speak intelligently and walks the walk is the ultimate interview. Thank you for your efforts,
Don’t buy venues like Escape in Treetown 😂😂😂

Best way is keep your money for yourself many have tried with bars and many have failed more then what has been a success.

Exactly well said you would think these stupid falungs would ask themselves why aren't Thai people buying and opening bars😮
Great interview! Really enjoyed that, thank you ))
Interesting video, but if you describe owning a bar as "needing something to do", i would rather do nothing.

You can try to persuade her to come with or meet up with you after she finishes her shift, that way you don’t have to pay the barfine.

Yes it was like 2100 . She said after midnight it would be 1000. I’ve just never encountered a bar fine that high . I’ve got to stay up later 😂!
Forget LT from Soi 6 until the BF price drops about 11pm or midnight
What type of visa is this guy in Thailand on? I’m assuming it’s not a retirement visa…
A Work Permit , has to be
He owns a company and employs more than 5 Thais - so a work permit is very easy.
If people didn't buy any bars though there wouldn't be a pattaya so not really a smart remark really
Absolutely Outstanding
Thank you

"The harder I work the luckier I get."
I've heard that the quickest way to make a million on a pattaya bar is to start with two million. 🤣
He really took the Got Lucky comment to heart....A bit thin skinned.
