I recently lost my job at the age of 45. In addition to having access to Tricare and VA healthcare, I also receive a 9K military pension. I'm thinking of selling or renting my house and moving overseas with my cash, assets, and 401(k). What are some good passive income opportunities?

In addition, I intend to sell my property, which might potentially fetch an additional $200,000. Is it better to put everything in one account or spread it out among several investments?
These are important questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a summit, and with her assistance, my wife and I reallocate our $1.7 million assets between a regular IRA and a brokerage account. You did the right thing going. When I moved overseas, I remember sitting down and asking myself if I don't go, in ten years will I wonder 'WHAT IF?', and with that I was gone. Great video!
The ruby murray looked spot on 👍 I appreciate the back story, Wyn. Like you say, you don't need a fortune to live in Patts - just self control and definitely no simping!! Another 10 years and it'll be a toss up between selling the job-lot, or renting my house and giving me an exit strategy if the dream turns into a nightmare. Thanks for sharing, Wyn.
Depending upon where your house is, you could consider selling the house and buying a flat/apartment (or 2) to rent out instead, for an income, some cash and a exit... Obviously that may not work for you...
@@andrewmack2161 Yeah, that's a good option. I've a watched lot of relocating UA-camr channels talking about ''the big move.'' Good videos Wyn 👍 2020 was not a good year for most people! I remember that year well, I was living in Thailand at that time, I had to go back to the UK for a family funeral in May month, I got stuck in the UK until December because of all the travel restrictions that were in place, on my return to Thailand I had to spend 13 nights in a quarantine hotel (prison ) in BKK, I paid 32,000THB for the privilege, it was not a nice experience, some days the hotel quarantine staff would forget about me for my daily 1/2 hr rooftop exercise etc, and the food was not the best! I got out of their prison on Boxing Day 2020, I headed to Pattaya, I got a haircut, a decent breakfast and a few beers to celebrate my release - best feeling in the world👍

Hey Wyn after 18+ months of viewing your vlogs I've finally subscribed including the bell icon👏 As curry houses go in Pattaya I believe that the one in New Plaza about halfway through on the left hand side (if coming from Soi Buakhao) is the best there is. The chicken Madras is the tastiest curry I've ever eaten the world over! Which is fairly outlandish considering it's in Thailand 😆 But the best Thai restaurant/cafe I've ever had my favourite dish of Thai green curry is Da cafe in Chiang Mai near Taipei gate, but a couple of minutes walk away and maybe one road in.

2000 pounds a month is way to much! You can live well for far less than that. We are living like kings for $1800 AUD per month. We don’t drink, don’t smoke and no bar girls. Living a good life on that money
Thailand wipes out older men if not careful. Cheap sugar and oil and blood sugar rises like a kite as confirmed by my GCM. Thailand the land where the Stomachs grow while Muscles disappears and Metabolic disease blossoms. A man must have incredible discipline here to live long healthy life. More difficult than in the West where Awareness has already risen while here the Sugar and Soybean oil trucks keep rolling.
Every year in the UK paying tax, VAT etc to support people who have never contributed anything is insane, get out of the place as soon as you can is my advice, with a bit of discipline and not acting like a Simpleton it’s surprising how well you can life on a fraction what you would need in the UK. Your living the dream compared to guys in the UK, USA, Australia etc who are working their butts off and needing 5 times what your pension pays just to make ends meet and they have a fraction of your quality of life. Well done for having the guts to taking the steps to maximize your enjoyment of life, so many out there just sit on their arse and wait to die in some depressing town they have never left since childhood. Hope your back is better, the climate in Thailand does help that also.
Speaking from experience please dont get involved with women there a lot mental health issues and bad families mostly looking for money bad move take care

2000 pounds a month is way to much! You can live well for far less than that. We are living like kings for $1800 AUD per month. We don’t drink, don’t smoke and no bar girls. Living a good life on that money
@@AJ-ww6qs nice one thanks 🙏
@@welshwynMate, is your current budget still around 720 pounds a month? How you finding it?

Thailand wipes out older men if not careful. Cheap sugar and oil and blood sugar rises like a kite as confirmed by my GCM. Thailand the land where the Stomachs grow while Muscles disappears and Metabolic disease blossoms. A man must have incredible discipline here to live long healthy life. More difficult than in the West where Awareness has already risen while here the Sugar and Soybean oil trucks keep rolling.
@@re-loaded2073 fair comment thanks 🙏
@@BasherBrown Well said your spot on there and yes the sun certainly helps the aches and pains thanks mate 👍

I plan to travel throughout Thailand in 4 years time , hopefully will get that DTV 5 year visa . I own my house in the U.K. and I’m working flat out saving every penny to start travelling in 4 years time when I’m 63 , or I will go sooner if my circumstances change .
