- I'M 79...AND it's a process! I rarely talk about skincare however today I'm showing you products that I've "gravitated" to this past year.
I've reached the age where I know that only surgery, procedures or fillers will make me appear younger.....OH, and some good lighting! Just trying to be the very best I can be at my age.

I just found your wonderful self here on your channel, and was immediately hooked! I'm just 64, haven't worn makeup in about 7 years, I really started to see the signs of aging and kind of gave up on make up, and havent had a good skin care routine anymore either! After watching you for a few days now, I'm about to begin both a skin care routine, and make up again. You are a beautiful mature woman that has shown me I can still look good without going broke! Try dry brushing, I've erased lines and wrinkles. I use a rosehip oil after. That's it

I've been watching your videos for a couple years now. I've even went back and watched your older videos. Ever since I've turned 60 I've been having issues with self esteem and feeling less than because now I'm older. I never expected to deal with these issues and unfortunately I not coping well. I've always been attractive and even though I've not considered myself vain I just don't enjoy looking at myself in the mirror and losing my self confidence and feeling not myself. You are beautiful and I think you handle aging beautifully. I only hope I can do it as well as you have.
Pam, I can really identify with what you are saying here. I will be 60 this year & my loss of confidence in my appearance is awful. I hate going to the hairdressers because I have to look in the mirror! I don’t feel like the same person I used to be. I’m going to keep watching Patti and get some inspiration 😊. Thanks for telling it like it is. I'm almost 86 and know there's nothing out there that's going to make me look younger so I've stipped watching a lot of younger influencer lest I fall for another sales pitch for anti-aging. I'm thankful for the privilege of aging and know with that comes some unprevtable changes. I appreciate your honesty.

this is under my hubby's account. With that said, this has really helped me embrace my age and all the things that go with it. I'm 52 and have been struggling with accepting myself and the older me. My attitude is quickly changing watching and listening to your upbeat and positive attitude. It's a refreshing change from the videos that voice negativity and fighting the aging process. I'm so glad I found you!!

I love that you don’t have fillers or Botox, laser, and no cosmetic surgery. You are genuine! You are my inspiration to be the best me and be natural with no Botox getting fillers, etc. I’m 59 years old and I love who I am as a person and every wrinkle and grey hair I have I have earned. I just discovered your channel yesterday and have been happily binge watching your videos. I'm turning 70 this July, and recently have started taking care of my skin again after 6 yrs.of depression and an extremely low sense of self esteem after a stroke that has left me with a paralyzed left sided face from top of my head on down. It's very hard to see well enough to apply make-up but I'm going to give it a go. I think you are a godsend and a treasure!❤😊❤

Thanks for your comments on skin care claims. I really went overboard during the pandemic, buying things influencers were using, that I couldn’t use up in a hundred years. I’ve become much more realistic with my skincare. You do look beautiful as ever!
Hi Patti ! I've been a skin care person for like 65 years plus ! I think no matter what you love we need to be consistent! Since we are almost the same age moisturizing is so important! I truly have seen such a difference in my skin since I have been using Ella Freda products ! It was like within a couple days I saw such a difference of tightness and texture ! I agree everyone is different and skin types are different so what works for one doesn't work for another but I'm so happy with my 79 yr old skin :) You look pretty today ! Happy new year 🎉Barb ❤

I watch “Hot & Flashy” and she test things and there isn’t any product she uses that cost more than $29.00 which is great. I love the fact she also does test on sunscreen which I watch and look forward to every year! You are right about the cost of things as even the drugstore makeup is getting more expensive!
Hi Sue.🙂 Many products Angie (Hot a& Flashy) uses are are far more expensive than $29.00. Her recommended sunscreens are $40 ( elta md and Dr. Jart, etc), $55 Foundations, Dior Eyeshadow $62 , and so much more. I watch her more often for her expensive recommendations than budget friendly options. We don't even want to start on her expensive skincare routines, but if it makes her happy and she can afford it.... Why not?💕

Patti, being 74, i am down to basics too. I have found a few things i like and my skin care is simple. I have given up on “the fountain of youth.” I love josie maran body butter, and oil hugs…for my face. I get the unscented, I found it does the most to give my skin a plump, hydrated feeling. I have an exfoliating little nubby skin brush i use in the shower with my face ckeanser. Thats it. A little vitamin C toner. Hugs, judy

Patty, how did you get in my mind and read all my intrusive thoughts about the skincare products hidden away in my “stash”. There is also so the guilt associated with the amount of used/unused products, while still adding to them, not to mention the amount of money spent. I too, am tired. I really appreciate this liberating video. It was the gentle push I needed. Not only am I about to have the best cared for looking hands, arms, legs and feet using up all this stuff, my wallet and conscious will also experience a new sense of freedom, one I haven’t had in years; Thank you!

Hi Cindy, that is exactly what my mother used, lived to be 96, and was always complimented on her beautiful skin!!!
My mama lived to be 88 with no wrinkles at all. No facelift or fillers (she died in 2010) But she took great care of her skin with creams and lotions. She was pretty ! I am 61 and wash my face with soap lolll i am afraid I won't look as good as she was at her age. But for now, no wrinkles in sight. Happy new year to you, Jim and Biscuit !
I'm the same (I'm 62) and so is my sister. Our mom passed when we were very young so nothing to compare to. Question do you have natural oily skin? I swear that's why I don't have wrinkles. But the test of my Cody is extremely dry.

But my fall back is always Lancome. But I buy online where they have more specials and always a free gift. But over the years, depending on my financial situation, I'll always fall back to drugstore sold brands. We can only try our best.
It's Jan.24, 2023 and this is the first time I have seen one of your videos. You sound so much like me. I am 74 years old and like you I have bought so much makeup because of all the promises they make. I have been told that I have beautiful skin, which of course make-up helps to camouflage a lot and I have tried to take very good care of my skin. Like you I'm done with buying so much and I'm trying to like and use a few products now. Your video has helped me a lot and although I'm going to purchase some of your recommended products, I'm hoping they will be the last and I will be happy with them. I needed this video!! I turned 60 this year and I have gotten to this point as well. I know my body and my skin. At this point in my life I know what my skin loves and what it doesn't and I know what cosmetics work regardless of price. I actually use less make-up items now than ever but they MUST perform!! Oh Patti….right on girl!! I am 70 and no matter what I use, tried and true or the latest and greatest, somehow a new wrinkle, crinkle or line shows up. Hello!! I too am over any false promises modeled on a lovely 20 something face. I have truly reached the point of wanting to have the best skin I can achieve at 70. Using a set of products that delivers a smoother, more hydrated skin is a doable goal. I also have found that results are NOT necessarily dependent upon price, so choose what works for you. A few months ago I went to buy a bottle of my Clinique eye makeup and lipstick remover. The store was out. I had some things to pick up in Walmart and noticed the Equate remover. At only $5.00 per bottle I figured I had nothing to lose by buying a bottle to try out. I was amazed at how well it worked and I wasn't allergic to it. I shall be saving quite a bit of money by switching brands. I must say that I was surprised that you didn't mention how well it cleans lipstick. So, I went to my dressing room and read the labels on my bottle. To my surprise it only mentioned being being an eye makeup remover. Clinique states that theirs are both. Equate's is both also. I use it for both and it does an excellent job. When I bought my bottle I only read the ingredient list so it did not occur to me not to use it for my lips as well since I had been using Clinique for both for years. You have a "Twofer" and didn't even realize it. You are going to be thrilled. Love from your Patti in Alabama.

I’m using the Skinn Products right now. So far I’m pleased with them. I also use the drugstore brand eye makeup remover and I have used the Campanelli cleaning cloths for years and I love them. You look great!
Oh, I tried the Equate eye makeup remover and it heated up my skin and turned it red. Also, it burnt my eyes. I guess I must be allergic to something in the bottle. I guess I'll go back to micellular. Sorry this didn't work for me. By the way, Patti, your skin is beautiful, and your makeup application is perfect.

I’m 56 and will be 57 in august. I used the philosophy product you use and have for years . One thing that I use and LOVE is the the L’Oréal 55 plus moisturizer and eye cream and that’s it ! It may skin feels fantastic !
The first time I saw you showing the manuka oil with honey and vitamin c serum I ordered it and I love it and have used it ever since. I love how it makes my skin feel. I also use the exact eye make-up remover you have on this video and I have used it for years. I don't like all the skincare steps so I cleanse, put on a toner, the manuka oil and a moisturizer. I really am a creature of habit. I love all your videos they make me feel like we are just sitting down and having a chat.

Oh Patti…I just finished my bottle of Skinn Elixer. Time for another bottle. A year or so ago you were talking about it in such a positive manner I had to try it. I love it. I especially love it at night when I’m so tired I don’t want to have multiple steps. My face is washed, I put my Elixer on and into bed I fall. My skin is quite dry in the winter. I live in Wisconsin. This product is so soothing. What a wonderful wonderful face oil. And I’ve never found it greasy at all. ❤

I’m 61 and I have used Dove soap since I was a teenager. Recently someone told me I look like I’m 45 when I told her I had 7 grandkids she was shocked 😊 My mom uses it as well. I honestly think it’s good genes and it has nothing at all to do with the skin products you use. My mom is 85 and she has the most amazing skin. Now to be fair we really don’t wear makeup daily. Patti you have beautiful skin and you look absolutely stunning for your age. I’m new to your channel and I love you 🫶
For a woman to look as gorgeous as you and not have had plastic surgery it has to be good genes and taking good care of your skin. You look fabulous. I’ve tried so many skin care ranges from low to high with the occasional top price over the years but the Skinn products are what I settled on and have used continuously for quite a few years now. Australia is known for its harsh effects on the skin, that coupled with my Irish ancestry I can still say at 74 years my skin feels amazing and glows. I agree with you my desert island grabs would be my Dermapeel and the Elixir Oil. I always look forward to watching your videos. You have such an honesty and charm. Hi hon. Haven't been on in ages, lots happening in my life the last year +. Hubby passed Aug '21 and life has changed so much. At 73+ I have adjusted my entire lifestyle. My home was built in 1890 yes over a hundred years ago. I've had to remove a pantry wall, ceiling and all the insulation due to a cast iron pipe rusting and leaking. I also rebuilt it myself. I've taken care of my lawn for most of last year until I finally hired someone to do our double lot. I've installed wire mesh around the entire part of my deck and enclosed porch to keep the ground hog out. Re-built the lower 5" of the wall of my utility room and so it goes. Tried to go up on the roof and my sister, who my children talked into coming and living with me, about had a fit. She tells on me all the type. Like when I got up on the ladder to trim the trees, to fix my dryer and well yes, I'm bad but as long as God gives me the strength I'll do it myself. Well said all that to say you are looking wonderful. It looks like you are letting your hair go natural, love it and looks fabulous. I've let mine go natural as well. Had done so before hubby passed and he loved it more than my natural color. Silly man. Okay dinner is ready, have to run. Will hopefully be back soon. Sorry for the book I wrote.

Goodness Patti you are amazing in so many ways. I’m 67 and really we could swap ages, you look far younger than me. I’m new to following you so I’ve put some of your products into my amazon basket and will try your routine from now on. Can’t get all of the products here in the UK but I’m sure the ones I’m getting are far better than my usual wash with garnier micellar water and apply Nivea cream and baby oil, lol. Happy New Year and I totally agree with everything you say about skin care products. I am 67 and oddly enough use basically the same products you are and the Skinn line is nice. The only new things I am adding are micro current for some exercise for my facial muscles and have been waiting forever for my Nira laser device. We will see. Time to get rid of a lot and throw it on my body too!
I have been using IOPE Korean skin care for about a year and a half and I think it's one of the finer skincare's out there. I bought the toner and cleanser separate but for 88.00 you get a lot. I have problems with smells and oils but this is perfect for skin that can't handle all of that. ♥
Micellar water doesn’t have enough punch to dissolve eye makeup and it is likely to be too dry for things like mascara. MIcellar water is formulated primarily for foundation., blush, bronzer etc. just enough to dissolve this makeup and not strip skin.
