THIS is how you teach: no yelling, no seizure-inducing jump cuts, no f**king memes, no constant begging viewers to buy some product. And the products that Big Z does promote (in a classy manner) are totally worth it. I've been making music for a damn long time and I still learn from you man. Keep up the good work!
I'm actually 27 years in electronic music (!), and when i was discover Big Z's lessons, i think - that man know how to explain, with even no one micro water drop in the sesssion. Great dude!
Pro Q3 settings used: 30Hz - 100Hz 150Hz - 400Hz 400Hz - 1100Hz 1000Hz - 4000Hz 4000Hz - Top Hope this is helpful to someone! Thanks for the amazing videos Big Z!
Very few people are giving away such quality content for free. That Metric A/B trick was mind boggling, definitely getting it now haha. Thanks Big Z, you're the man!!
WoW! I was thinking this technique on the kick is a bit over the top here, never seen it used but then WOW! it sounded like the same kick as the reference track man! Decent! will try this technique, top draw
Thank you Big z, just want u to show more about reverb on drums and how to eq to have clean room effect just like in this song, thank u this is really helpfull!!
Hi, I just discovered your channel barely a week and I couldn't be more grateful for the ton of practical information you give. Could you sometimes use acoustic/live recorded kind of music so some of us can benefit more. Thanks
Big Z! I'm loving it! Like McDonald's! Been a musician all my life, discovered I'm more of a song writer than a drummer but I can play rhythm guitar well too. Love your channel ❤ can you mix guitars from Logics Pro X Amp simulator?
Have the same question, I think yes! Because you shouldn't export a clipping wavefile. So maybe you make a premix in your session with the gain knobs or you gain everything to -12db and rough mix it with the mixer fader. Also I think once a stem is made, the instruments should work together, so a premix is essential. Imagine a too loud subbass with a very quite top bass. So have a rough mix before

Most of the videos that have what you describe in them, are meant to be memes lol. They are pretty entertaining

oh yees!
another great tutorial, appreciate that !
Hey man thanks so much for sharing! Can anyone answer this question though? Do you gain stage before you stem out the track into the mixing project?
Have the same question, I think yes! Because you shouldn't export a clipping wavefile.
