Assembling a Shiinominarikabuto of the Japanese samurai armor

This video shows the process of assembling a shiinomi-shaped helmet, which is being made under the guidance of Mr. Shindou Atsuta, an armor master.
The six steel plates, which have been beaten to a curved surface, are further beaten and fine-tuned so that they are assembled without gaps.
Afterwards, the edges that have been distorted by beating are filed to make them beautifully curved.
Once finished, the pieces are joined together with small screws.
The assembly this time is a temporary assembly, and after further tapping and adjustment, steel tacks will be inserted for the final assembly.
