      Sorry man, I am terrible with notifications.
      But as stated above it's a fantastic theme and execution. They're all separately themed but what I loved regarding this was when you went inside, you partially, didn't feel like you were even on the strip anymore. You really felt like you were in your own city, and secluded. The location was the best, as everything's at your finger tips, being centered. Pending on what side your room is on, you might get lucky and have an awesome view of the ballagio fountain, and be able to watch it from up top.
      Hope that you had a great time, or will, if you're not there yet.

    Thanks for your great review of the Paris! I am staying there over Labor Day 2022 and am so looking forward to seeing it again and staying there this trip. I had beginners luck on the floor, always friendly dealers and like you said "the only french-themed property on the strip" (of course the Orleans is another choice) for those who would choose both, ha-ha! Nice review, crisp, thorough, and a personal rating as you see it (seems a little low to me)! Thanks again, friend, I like your input!

    We are staying on Strip, at Paris, in May so I appreciated your review. We usually stay off Strip when we come to LV to visit family, but we always have lunch outside at Mon Ami Gabi every time we are in town. Not sure if that was the French restaurant you alluded to, but the food is excellent and having a meal across from the fountain shows of the Bellagio is an added bonus, as it is the best people watching spot on the Strip, imo. Thanks again for the thorough review.

      You'll need to book reservations for restaurants 💯. July will be uber busy, so make your reservations 1-2 weeks out in order to ensure your desired times.

      @@Coolist When I gamble I like to play blackjack or roulette and just bet the table minimum while getting “free” drinks. You can usually make it last a lot longer than slots.

    Hi, I am also new to the Coolist Channel!
    I have viewed all of you your hotel Vegas clips, all very informative…
    I am taking my 84 year old grandfather for his first trip to Vegas. Unfortunately he does not sleep in a bed because he sleeps in a chair.
    What is your best hotel suggestion for us, looking at size of room and getting around the resort, or just your overall favorite?

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  3 роки тому

      Hi Robin- Welcome to the channel!
      That's such a difficult question to answer, because That depends what you place the most emphasis on: a nice room, the overall hotel theme/concept, fine dining, casual dining, gambling/casino floor, the sportsbook, shopping, location , and the list continues...
      For the most part, the hotels are going to be nice, but huge. Paris and Park MGM are probably the smallest of the bunch. But Choose the one that most speaks to you! If you watched my videos, you know how I feel about each property 😎

    Great review! Thanks man! Do you know if it's possible to get a room with a view of the Bellagio fountain? Did you try a steak at Gordon Ramsey? I have to say my experience there was pretty mediocre. I usually order my steaks Pittsburg or black/blue style, but it was pretty overcooked. The service and my old fashioned were very nice though. For a good steak, it's hard to beat a dry aged ribeye at Bavettes.

    • @Coolist

      I really need to make a video on my rating system so I can explain it more. Basically, I only stay at the best and coolest hotels, so rating of 1 (pass) still means the hotel is decent. It’s like watching a sports all-star game: everyone on the floor is amazing, but among that elite group of players, some will be the best of the group and some will be the worst. Same goes for the hotels I stay at: I’m judging all of the best hotels against each other, so even a really good hotel may get a lower score.

    There is a Martorano's at Harrahs in Atlantic City. Food is good, but being from Brooklyn I've had better at local mom & pop places. Mon Ami Gabi is an excellent spot for breakfast and people watching on the strip. The small pool has always been a deal breaker for me as I usually visit Vegas during pool season, but that LeMans suite looks enticing especially if you can get it with fountain views.

    • @Coolist
      @Coolist  3 роки тому +1

      I collectively agree:
      Martorano's is A atmosphere but B food.
      Mon Ami Gabi is a gem of a spot.
      Indeed the Paris pool is small, even for a "smaller" hotel like Paris l.
      The Le Mans Suite was an impressive value, at least for what I paid.

    I remember about 20 years ago going to the Paris buffet for dinner with my family. We were actually staying at the MGM that trip. The food was outstanding, all you could eat French delicacies from escargot to even venison. Too many to name although I can't guarantee many of these offerings are still being served today. I will NEVER forget having to use the bathroom to go number 2 -real bad. I know TMI right?, but there were several bathrooms nearby the buffet that, in I guess for the sake of being like an authentic Parisian bathroom, all of them only had one stall and to my dismay, all were occupied. I think I tried 3 different ones, all the same situation; occupied. I had to walk what seemed like quite a distance to finally find an unoccupied stall. When I finally got back, my family was a bit miffed since I was greeted with a stern "where were you?!!!!" Considering how bad I had to go after eating way too much food, (as you do) it was a mini nightmare that could have ended up very embarrassing if you know what I mean.

    I booked a couple nights in Paris because I thought it would be tacky and kinda funny (but also in a good spot). It wound up being really nice and comfortable. I'd definitely go back. Cheap suites. I like the Giverny layout more than the Leman(s?), you can hide the TV, more window.
    edit: I thought I'd spend time at the Bellagio across the street. It was just crowded and kinda overbearing, so I went back and chilled at Paris.
