Kane Cornes really made himself a notable media identity. I know he’s decisive, it I personally find him enjoyable. Never would’ve picked it in his playing days.

I'm a Pies fan and I love this haha. Absolute gold. The Pies jumper isn't worth much atm, so have at it everyone, crack your jokes, I wanna hear the very best haha.
The thing to remember, is that before the VFL expanded, most footy supporters here in S.A. followed their colour & emblem equivalent in the other leagues; and for Port this was of course Collingwood !
Some of my mates STILL follow Collingwood rather than Port Power (but *ALWAYS* Port Magpies)
1897 Collingwood wore the prison bars. Port Adelaide magpies who have no history with the power wore them in 1902. The dopey south Australians don't even know what year comes first. They might have to use fingers to start counting.

@@danielstone9404 Very true..the SANFL is older than the VFL/AFL and one of the oldest sporting competitions in the World..and most of the rivalries date back 120yrs plus..Port vs Norwood 140 yrs plus..i'm a mad Sturt (Double Blues) man so have always followed Carlton...the VFL/AFL never took off here until the mid to late 80's but before then it was the SANFL.
@@charcoalblues.6121 quite a few gun SA players went to Carlton too in the 80's; so I always thought that was a reason Carlton had a reasonable SA following, before the Crows came in?

If port Adelaide power and port Adelaide magpies were one club before 1997 then why did they merge together in 2010? So your history don't go back to 1870. It goes back to 2010. History not that old. Port Adelaide gallahs.

I still don’t get why they can’t wear a prison bar jersey with teal above the bars. Makes them distinct enough from other teams blending both the SANFL and AFL port. BTW this is from a diehard Collingwood supporter, contrary to popular belief many Collingwood supporters actually went for Port in the SANFL before they moved to the AFL.

I still say the guernsey row can be resolved in the Octagon! Set one up at the G, have Eddie and Kane fight out; the winner gets the prison bar guernsey for Collingwood or Port. It’d be a sellout and would put this argument to rest once and for all 👊🏻🍿

but that pies jumper is probably the best in the AFL outside of their home one so doesn't really make sense
I think the Port magenta jumper of the 1890's is pretty rank.

Even though I despise Collingwood, Carlton ju.per would have to be the most boring, as is their mascot, every other team has something imaginative, Bombers, Crow, Lion etc....Carltons is a colour, hope it didn't take them very long to think of it

Collingwood existed in 1892, with that designed jumper, port existed in 1870, but not with prison bar Guernsey, that wasnt until 1902. So no, you ripped off Collingwood, end of debate, those are the facts 😂
Actually. You are wrong. The South Australia inter colonial side wore black and white 9 months before a collingwood supporter took the design back to victoria.

Best jumpers: Hawthorn, Richmond, West Coast, Footscray, Collingwood and St Kilda.
Worst jumpers: Melbourne, Fremantle, Gold Coast and Port Adelaide.
I'm a Collingwood supporter since 1976 and as far as I'm concerned a club should wear the jumper it came into the VFL/AFL as. In other words the AFL should not allow any team to wear the same colours as the foundation clubs. So if another team wore Yellow & Black I be you Richmond would takeit to court. So why isn't anybody seeing common sense and backing up Collingwood? Collingwood is the original black & white team in the VFL/AFL. If you want to wear the colurs of an existing team, bugger off and play in some other league!

Port fans are pathetic, go see the actual team that wears the bars if you want to see that jumper. For your info they still exist, still play in the SANFL and still wear 'Their' jumper. Don't blame Collingwood because you can't be bothered going to a real Port game anymore. Means so much to you, heritage, blar blar blar what a joke.
