Doesn’t happen to everyone my father tricked my mother acquired everything she owned and left us to fend for ourself but it only made me stronger and capable for myself and my mother. I do however wish though to have had such moments in my past

I love how Jerry and his dad both insist on paying for the other. They love each other too much to let the other spend their own money.
Don't fight over the bill and simply spend an extra $18 dollars more than you would have on their next present to repay them without them knowing... problem solved and no time wasted...

Because his dad doesn't think he makes money. The problem with the scene is at no time does Jerry mention how much made. That would be natural thing to tell your parents when you hare having this kinds of conversation. If Morty knows Jerry made 250 million dollars, he wouldn't try to pay for things.

I find it really annoying when I’m trying to offer a friend or family member something or pay for something and they just keep refusing, only for them to accept eventually and they were clearly just refusing because they think that’s expected behavior.
