I think that Ellie is suffering from PTSD and Joel is just in her head. My theory is that the fireflies killed Joel and now Ellie is out for revenge, just a thought.

Kameron Scott haha, you stole my idea...yeah, notice how the shot is framed with Joel walking in surrounded by bright, ambient light, almost symbolizing purity. I think somebody or a group will end up killing him during the game and then he'll come back in her memory as a sort of 'moral compass' which the player will get to experience. It makes sense, sometimes whenever I have to make a difficult decision I think about what my mom or dad would be telling me if they were there in the moment - could serve as a really creative gameplay element as well, kinda like the relationship between Master Chief & Cortana in Halo

yarp, she's been through some shit but this is supposed to be the later half of one consistent arc. one consistent story. at start? too early. much later ? the PTSD would have far worse implications in a completely believable manner. i'll word it like this, because i have no idea; the game is going to open with Joel being very very very alive

They act in the same way, they spread their infection in a very similar manor. That slight difference doesn't merit being so picky in my opinion. Plus, they are pretty much dead; if they were cured it's likely the damage done to their brains would be too much, if not then they'd be braindead or in chronic, severe pain for the rest of their lives.

Eddie Love hate to say it but they finally have been playing the first one this year. But they don’t seem that invested or paying attention to the story. They usually talk over cutscenes and just feels like they’re trying to rush it to be done with.

Someone had a theory that Joel was brutally killed by a group of people probably called "the hunters" because both Joel and Ellie had problems with them in the last game. Joel in Ellie's perspective is just a hallucination, a projection. Part II targets on the words "hate" and "revenge" it is why Ellie says "I'm gonna find, and I'm gonna kill every last one of them."
Davion Elliott or Ellie had a baby and the fireflies took it.

I'm very happy to see The Last of Us get a sequel. This comes on the heels of learning another game from that 2012-2014 period was canceled. That game being Sleeping Dogs 2. When the studio closed over the summer reports just got released that a sequel was in the works...I was so upset to hear such a thing. This, however, I'm very glad for. The Last of Us and Bioshock:Infinite were two games that filled me with so much job coming out together. I am very happy.

you will never feel the full excitement that everyone else feels until you beat the first game. trust me play the game and it will be the greatest game you have ever played
its a personal experience. you can't just say its not the messiah of games when everything they felt is unique to themselves. I mean you can argue things like gameplay mechanics, level design and such...but there really is no argument to how much characters resonate with fans.
Pieces109 honestly it's one of the greatest games to be made it almost defined the ps3 in the last few months of its life but you can't say it's overrated when it won game of the year from so many different places maybe you didn't feel the same way or your not into those types of games but just a question. Man I did NOT realize you two did video game reactions too...I absolutely loved your Babymetal reaction :)- Did you ever get around to making an Anime with Karate as the opening theme? Now to my fan theory:(and there are hundreds out there with a similar theory so its not as crazy as it sounds - I guess lol)Ellies hand is shaking because she has just finished battling and killing a house full of fireflys (you saw the sign outside the house I think this is a firefly encampment) Why you ask has she killed all of the fireflys? They found out what Joel did so they caught and killed him. You will not see that at first (naughty dog has stated that there will be time travel which I believe to mean flashbacks aplenty and that this chapter is about Hate rather than Love which was the theme of the first part) Joel seems to be by her side during the game but in reality through the flashbacks you will eventually find that he is a figment of her imagination and her moral compass. His death is what caused her to go on the journey to avenge him. I have seen that it has been confirmed that Joel is alive during the game...but he would be in a flashback now wouldn't he?
My dad played the game while my brother and I watched, so I hope my brother and I see him when this comes out so he can play it

The best reactions for the trailer have been those who don't even know what it is when the trailer starts. Obviously this isn't a negative for reactions like this, but the look on peoples faces when they realize each part (usually around the firefly logo on the stop sign) is great. Actually, even this reaction did well at capturing the moment of realizing who each person is.

Jazz, you should look into getting Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (PS4/XB1/PC) if you want to learn guitar. It really works even if you've never played guitar before and it's fun.
If you 2 haven't played it, you absolutely have to. It's more emotional then any movie, tv series, or song you've experienced. It got me into writing as a hobby actually.

DETROITROB basically there's a man called Joel who has a daughter who dies when it begins, 20 years down the line he gets asked to smuggle Ellie (she was 14 and also the one playing guitar is 19 in no 2) then his gf dies and they find out Ellie is immune to the infection and basically he hands her in but finds out she has to be killed to get her immunity out of her to make a vaccine, so he fights for her and the main thing about the trailer is that he promised Ellie that he'd teach her how to play guitar, and swim. You can see she's playing the guitar witch touches most players
