If anybody doesn't know what filler episodes are, they are non canon episodes which means they aren't in the manga so you don't have to watch them, when studios animate weekly long running shounen animes like naruto, one piece, bleach, black clover, sometimes the anime catches up to the manga so they make filler episodes to fill in the void until they have enough material from the manga to start making it again

@Darrion Jefferson I get what you mean but old shounen anime weren’t like the newer ones today that are seasonal. DBZ naruto one piece all of them were weekly anime’s and the episodes just ate through source material. It was needed. Look at black clover now, it has to cease making episodes bc its actually caught up and its unfortunate bc its the most popular its ever been

Whereas anime like Dragon Ball and Naruto get more hype because they’re more popular even though they’re overrated. People just always watch them first

this. this is literally Tim. im not disrespecting his tier list in any way shape or form, but he’s basically just relying on fight scenes. CA had 63 episodes but it was the absolute best arc in the series and one of my favorite arcs of all time. meruem is an amazing character and tim seems to just rely on fight scenes, which i guess is what he’s doing his tier list off of.

Well Hisoka didn't just want to kill Chrollo, he seeks out fights with strong oppnents for pleasure, and Chrollo was one of his targets due to his strength. But then Kurapika took away Chrollos ability to use nen, and therefore Chrollo lost his strength. Meaning Hisoka no longer had a reason to fight him at that point.

If I were to guess why Tim doesn’t like hxh it would be because he was probably forced (or felt forced) to binge the show instead of watching it at his own pace. Hxh isn’t exactly long compared to some other anime but considering Tim is a streamer without a lot of time on his hands, it could be difficult for him to sit down and watch +100 eps. Regardless I really hope Tim can rewatch hxh if he hasn’t already or watch some YT vids explaining things he was confused about since HxH is prolly my fav anime atm.

Except...no... The only thing redeemable about Black Clover are the well-animated fight scenes. But most fight scenes aren't even well-animated or anything. The characters have these polarizing personalities- which is not good writing, the characters have no real character development- which is not good writing, characters appear out of nowhere as if they were members of Black Bulls the whole time- which is not good writing, redundant filler- which is not good writing, so on and so forth. Black Clover is, objectively, not a good anime. Period.

Damnnn Tim either didn't pay attention to HxH or it was too complex for him. Most of the questions he asked he should have known the answer for. The complexity of HxH's world, power system and story was a huge selling point on me. They did a great job of making sure it didn't feel like the entire world was revolving around our main cast.
Edit: Complexity doesn't mean you need to be a rocket scientist to understand it. HxH weaves themes into their story beautifully. Nen is way more complicated than any other Shonen power system. If you didn't like HxH, it's not because you're too stupid to not understand (although...) We all have our own taste in anime's. Tim sounds like someone who doesn't care about the thematic elements because he just wanted to see fights. If that sounds like you than I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy this anime for what it was and not for what you wanted it to be.
If you think it's complex you have as many brain cells as you have fingers, and I'd guess you're an amputee based on your statements.

For example, the power system that he stated. No other anime power system has as many parts and features as Nen does. Nen has different types, people can use different types according to their specific Nen type, some people are able to use 3, Kurapika was able to use all of them by betting his own life, and the creativity of abilities that Nen users provide for themselves is also vast. Another example are the development of the characters. Killua’s resentment in himself that Gon accepted, Meruem’s aura of evil that was then met with an unlikely sense of goodness that changed him, Gon’s innocence that was flipped on it’s head with his fury and anger because of Kite’s death, and etc. I’m not saying HxH is the best anime ever, but to say HxH isn’t complex is completely false.

If I were to guess why Tim doesn’t like hxh it would be because he was probably forced (or felt forced) to binge the show instead of watching it at his own pace. Hxh isn’t exactly long compared to some other anime but considering Tim is a streamer without a lot of time on his hands, it could be difficult for him to sit down and watch +100 eps. Regardless I really hope Tim can rewatch hxh if he hasn’t already or watch some YT vids explaining things he was confused about since HxH is prolly my fav anime atm.

@@steadydropnem yeah fillers are made because the manga isnt produced as fast as the anime so the studio has to come up with filler episodes while the manga continues releasing new material since a lot of anime release episodes week by week, and since manga isn't done releasing they use fillers to, well fill in the gap. As for someone that has HxH as their favorite anime, I get where Tim is coming from. It is slow and it may feel that there is too much dialogue and depth, but in my opinion, that's what makes it my favorite anime.
Apparently he doesn't like world building or character development but in my opinion that is something that more series need to add. I remember watching Hunter Hunter several years back and thought it was taking awhile for anything big to happen especially during the Hunter exams. It wasn't until after when they started to learn Nin and were finding out more about the world around them that I was starting to catch on to how the story was unfolding.

Yeah I mean, you just weren't paying any attention to the story I guess. Hisoka seeks out strong opponents for pleasure, it wasn't about simply killing Chrollo, it was about enjoying a fight against Chrollo BECAUSE he was strong. But then Kurapika used his nen restriction in order to take away Chrollos nen, meaning Chrollo had lost his strength, and therefore Hisoka no longer had any motive to fight him. The phantom troupe after that went out in search of a way to restore Chrollos nen.
